Yes, I was really paying attention to Walt tossing those dice..and that statement about his dad saying he was "lucky." Is it possible that Walt is some sort of psychic? And perhaps the island is ampifying that? It was after his reading of the comic book that we got the polar bear. We already have a psychic that saw claire's future "off-island" And whatabout that comic book. I understand that the story depicted in that issue is about aliens. Perhaps with developed psychic abilities? Are they trying to communicate withteh survivors? I am firmly convinced that hte metal plate that Locke and Boone found was a door to a bunker. Didn;t you hear how it sounded hollow when Locke banged on it? Vlad Yup.

*snort* What do you mean by "Locke's a Black Hat?" In Westerns the good guys used to always wear white hats and the bad guys wore black hats.

We are all having Hobbit flashbacks today! Better than a hotflash!

And Locke is a bad guy? I don't know. I just don't feel that yet. Creepy, maybe. But not "bad". I don't think he's bad, either. Maybe just misguided. The ability to walk after being paralyzed might tend to cloud one's judgement.

Well it couldn't have been more than 4 minutes or he wouldn't be talking, unless the island did save him. Agree. If he was saved without "magical influence" (for lack of a better term) then he couldn't have been without oxygen for too long. We'll see how his memory does as time passes. If it is trauma-induced, it is likely to come back to him in snippets as things remind him of what has been repressed.

Oh come on! It's a UFO - its gotta be the UFO! Too many clues not to be now. Man what a great episode. Boone knows about Red shirts but doesn't know SPOCK's name...I'm guessing that was just to get a reaction out of us..but Boone, you did good! Locke - what was he following...'can't you feel it?" Is he a pod people? Jack, I absolutely love you. Good on you Jack! I was so stunned there...Charlie was so almost dead. And Kate was great. She's a fine actress. They are all such fine actors. Sayid and Sawyer - oh Sawyer, you were great. You were both great. I think they bonded. Michael you continue to piss me off. You're going to have to have one heck of a backstory to win this girl over. Hurley is a warrior - I KNOW! I know! He role plays! Gotta be that! And we have to wait now....what a great episode to hang a cliff on..or something. What amazed me was that Sawyer had no idea that Sayid was back. Is communication between the beach people and the jungle dwellers really that bad?

Couldn't the ship sound hollow? I guess it would have to be kind of thin metal to sound hollow...

*nodding in agreement* Not much more traumatic than having ALIENS abduct the person you are growing to love. I'd wager. I realize 'they' could just be the French Woman and her nutso son The Other. Not Aliens, I tell you - not Aliens! I just don't want this show to turn into The X-Files.

Well, wasn't that sumptin'? Did anyone else have little flashbacks of Merry and Pip being captured by the orcs and tossing their elvish pins so they could be followed when they found Charlies first bandage? I thought it was a cute homage. Vlad What was the order of the letters as found on the bandages. I didn't catch it; but, Everything seems to be a clue.

So, whose trail are Locke and Boone following? I missed why they decided to split up. Was there another trail marker? Or was it just the fact that the tape was such an obvious crumb? What made Kate think that there were more people involved that could lead them the wrong way? Something Sayid said?

But, didn't Danielle say the Others took her child? Unless, they abducted him and brought him back. Then, when Ethan-Alex started hanging out with the crash survivors, she thought he'd been abducted again. They took him when he was a child and she never had him as her child again? He looks so strange...maybe they took him apart and put him together a bit wrong... that was a wild supposition btw...

If it is trauma-induced, it is likely to come back to him in snippets as things remind him of what has been repressed. Something that is entirely possible is that Charley was literally strung up. Not like a hanging where a person is usually dropped and their neck snaps and hte air passage is broken. He could have been simply hoisted up, andtherefore his air passage not entirely shut off, at least not immediately...so he was slowly suffocating and perhaps actually stopped breathing at all only right before Jack and Kate found him. I am willing to go along with this theory, becuase, Charley seems to be recovering from it fine physically. People can actually "hang" for a very long time without dying or permanent physical effects. This didn't have to be magical. Vlad
