Very much enjoyed the review. Loved the foreshadowing of prostitution in Veronica's comments when Max hires her. Completely did NOT catch that when viewing. LOL--the title of this episode always puts Cher in my head, no fail. Maria! Yes, thanks for mentioning the foreshadowing of prostitution thing as a nice catch by Fotada. That part of the review brought a grin to my face. As did being called "sweet cheeks." Anyhow, mostly just wanted to say hi.

Did you know that the character Fern is played by an actress named Cher? I wonder if she in any way inspired the title of the episode?

Great review, Fotada! I really was struck by the connections you helped me see! Max approaching Veronica to solicit her services like a prostitute; how apt the comparison is of Chelsea!Fiona!Wendy to BSG’s Six; the way that Veronica tests Logan after seeing how apparently real Wendy’s feelings for Max are. I saw these moments, but I hadn’t really seen how well they fit into the ep. Not to mention how you helped me see the whole thing come full circle. Veronica’s questioning starts off bringing them closer but then, just like Max and Wendy, the more that is revealed the more it damages the relationship. As you put it so well “all romantic notions had disappeared and only the warts remain”. Very nice dissection of the way we move thru these main themes of romance and nasty reality in multiple storylines. Thanks, Fotada!

I think you put that very, very well: "Veronica’s questioning starts off bringing them closer but then, just like Max and Wendy, the more that is revealed the more it damages the relationship." You summarized the whole episode in one sentence. Go you!!!
