Yes, Syd, WHY? That's what we all wanna know. Awww. Poor Syd - her life will NEVER be normal. Nope. Always having to lie to people she cares about. Oh what a tangled web... Nadia is her daddy's daughter. And her mother's. To paraphrase someone else: when Nadia finds out the truth... well, that'll be an interesting day.

*sigh* Well that was just great. I feel stuffed and yet I can't wait for next week. Me too. And next week's is written and directed by Jeff Bell, who was not only Joss' co-executive producer for Angel's fifth season but directed and co-wrote "Not Fade Away" as well.

Great show! I saw a couple of episodes here and there last year, so I'm not totally lost, just a little, but I really enjoyed the episodes tonight. I'm sure I would've felt it much more if I knew more of the backstory, but as it is, still very enjoyable. Must sleep now. ETA: Cool green stakes, Sara.

So, here's what I'm wondering - is there any point, at all, in my even trying to watch until I've made my way through the first 3 seasons on DVD? Which are coming, from Netflix, btw. Season 1 should start arriving any day now. I'm wondering too - cause I watched tonight and I am flummoxed. Confused, and may I say befuddled. This show has a lot of backstory...

To echo my brother, that's a tough call. I think you'd enjoy it if you tuned in tonight, but the subtext will be a lot richer once you've at least seen the first season and a half. Let me think on this some more... I'm going to take my own advice and go read the past reviews - or at least the first year's worth - maybe I'll understand some of the relationships better.

Well, it was great to see the gang again. I definetely get the recreate the first season vibe from APO =SD6. And my vote is going for Weiss being the new Will. My favorite lines were all Marshall's tonight with Robot Dixon and I had eggs with Sark (hee, hee). I'm also glad they didn't drag out the is SpyDaddy evil question but sniff I'm going to miss Spymommy - that is if she's really dead. I hope they also go back to cliffhanger endings. I am another one who started watching Seasons 1-3 in preparation for this Lost/Alias combo and I made it all the way to the midpoint mark of season 3 and I would say it definetely helps to have seen the earlier seasons. Overall I felt that it was a good let's get it started again episode. Kind of a let's get our players in place and get started. I can't wait to see Jeff Bell's episode next week.

Woooo... long since decided I'm in this one for the ride, and not trying to keep track of the story, because some stuff is just as much fun without knowing what's going on, exactly, and this is Space Mountain when it comes to that...
Anyway, Sara, guest star questions: the pretty, pretty Samuri bad guy (wooooo) and the short agent Sid is chasing/ being chased with, who the kids and I were both "Wasn't he on Buffy? No, Angel? Who is he?"
Poor Weiss, all alone and out of the loop; the question I have is how long that's going to last.
Julia, woooooZOOMwooo, and could the "hanging out of the train" scene been any more "Perils of Pauline"

Rick Yune was the guy with diamonds embedded in his face in the Bond flick Die Another Day, Johnny Tran in The Fast and the Furious, and Kazuo in Snow Falling on Cedars.

So I was right to begin with- it was Buffy. Rick Yune just needs to be some kind of media wallpaper, such a pretty, pretty man. Julia, very shallow today, but I get that way some times

Sloane, your allegiances are to yourself, and yourself only.
I forget whatinhell happened to Nadia.. are we just forgetting the whole Rambaldi mess?
Russian that Vaughn says is "Git! Go to it! Good luck!"
(I think)
Swedish Slutty Syd? Guh.....
Whatsishead, making the buy? Are we supposed to know him? And he looks familliar, like the guy with the diamonds on his face in the last Bond movie..
(ETA: Heh!!! Wow, Who knew I could recognize faces?)
Nice "Clang" as the guy hits the bridge struts...
So he DID come in....And oh we all KNEW that was gonna happen as much as they knew. I wonder how they are gonna angstify it this time around...
I swear, J. Garner has the most expressive eyebrows this side of a labrador retriever...
