Ho! Ho! Ho!, Riff! Santa's back, baby! And, bearing gifts! Fred/Amy wrote me and told me that you wanted some cool internet sites.
So, Santa thought about combining your desire for American recipes with the request for cool internet sites and voila: If you go here or here you will find American cuisine specialties to prepare and enjoy! If Native America cuisine is your cup of tea (get it? cup of tea!) go here or here for great food from our indigenous peoples. Amy/Fred hopes you enjoy these sites and the great food they offer! Just for something different, check this site out for a cool new site of the day, every day! Bon appetite, Riff! And,

Erin, my dear-
My most profound apologies for my delay in posting your second gift. As you know, this is a busy time of year for us up here at the NP, and between negotiating worker's comp issues (you would not believe what hypochondriacs the elves can be) and keeping Blitzen happy (suddenly he decided he wouldn't eat anything but grass harvested from the base of the Alps. The Alps! Like I have time for this crap...) I'm afraid I let the time get away from me this week.
To make up for it, I have two gifts for you. The first is a little something you put on your wish list, which you'll find on one of your Angelphile review threads.
As for the second... well, I think you can use your imagination as to what to do with these stalwart sons of Great Britain:
Yours until next week,
SantaPS: Tell me more about what you might like in a vegetarian dish: pasta, tofu, grains, a particular veggie? Santa aims to please, you know.

Wow, Christian Bale really is from the UK. I did not know that.

Here's another Low Carb recipe for you my dear: And some pretties: My next gift will be a whole host of MP3 files for you as I see you requested that Santa provide you with some musical gifts. To help Santa compile such a musical box of goodies would you mind indulging me by letting me in on what kind of music you are into?

Santa? You rock. You are SO my hero, with the pretties and the commentary and the use of the word stalwart. Can I offer you some heroic company? Empathy, flight, and stopping time? I'm certain that the three of them have many talents you can put to use. (Oh, and I'm not a big tofu fan. Anything else is cool.)

Thank you so much, Santa! Fred is the most beautiful woman who's ever lived, isn't she? I'll try Amy's recipe over Christmas; it sounds lovely. (Oh, and please thank her for it!) I've never seen tinned pumpkin, but it's probably available somewhere. I know a nice delicatessen that may well have it. Sainsbury's and Asda don't seem to have it, but here's a place I found: try here!Shan, that was incredibly thoughtful of you. Thank you! Sadly, they don't deliver to Middlesbrough (which is where I'll be in four days ). I'll track some down, though. I'm determined to have pumpkin pie for Christmas.

And, Santa would like to apologize for not realizing there was a paucity of canned pumpkin in the UK. The things Santa takes for granted about the US. It must be easy to get confused when you have the whole planet to think of.

Bon appetite! *laughs* Bookmarks have been filed. Thank you, Santa! That will keep me busy! I'm very interested in American cuisine, but I've never even thought about Native American cuisine (except Mexican, of course). I'll definintely be trying some of those. Thank you again, sincerely. Especial thanks, Santa, for the wonderful Fred screen grabs.

Here are some very cute pics from a Heroes press conference: <snipped> And here's another recipe you might like. It sounds tasty to Santa! What lovely pictures, thank you! It's like methadone until the series starts back up again! And that recipe looks VERY likely to be something that not only would my kids and I enjoy eating, but something they'd like to help me make! We're working on developking kids-in-the kitchen skills and that looks positively FUN! I know it's going to work because I've already added a bit of garlic and herbs to the beef & onions portion of the recipe! ;D Thank you so much, Santa!

Sadly, they don't deliver to Middlesbrough (which is where I'll be in four days ). I'll track some down, though. I'm determined to have pumpkin pie for Christmas. If you have a microwave, you can cook some actual real pumpkin yourself; it's quite easy to do squashes in a microwave, and I KNOW you can buy whole pumpkins there: I've SEEN them in the shops! Then all you need to do is puree it in a blender. If you have a blender, that is. If you don't, I reckon they're a bit easier to come by in the UK than tinned pumpkin seems to be.
