Great job Spring! I admire your mental powers. ;D
I thing I remembered when I was reading through the dialogue was the use of "1138" which is a number George Lucas likes to use. Guessing that was deliberate. Though it seems strange when thrown in with all the Superman and BTVS references.

Spring,
The whole thing was quite delightful (as usual).
Most especially:
Please don't strain yourself too much with the not thing of James.
(Oh, and I love the quotes lifted from Buffy episodes.)

Fabulous analysis as always, Spring! I love this part: The BtVS quotes interspersed were a wonderful touch! And, yes, he did look very Fine: #chuckle# I can't wait for more James and more analyses! Thank you, Spring! Oh, and I am absolutely awed by your self control in not thinking about James. ;D

Although I didn't watch the ep, I enjoyed your commentary all the same. Your not-thinking-of-James concentration is awesome!

Spring, love the tone of your reviews (especially given the nature of this show). I, too, am greatly impressed by your ability to not-think-of-James. Thank you for transcribing the scene where Clark and Fine discuss the cause of Chloe's injury. I missed it b/c my phone rang. Shoulda' let the machine get it. Since she was so obviously referenced, I couldn't help thinking a certain Slayer would be less than amused by said reference.

Spring - I stand in awe. I now know my life's ambition. To be just like you! Yes - I will slavishly follow you in whatever direction you take. Apparently this week, we are not caring that James is not on the screen enough, for we are Not Thinking About James. You got it, boss! **thinks hard abut non-James-ish things** **giggles and snickers about things like: the "they eat you, starting with your bottom" girls in the hot tub; fool for Lex; "Yes, the lackey has reached for his weapon, but it seems Milton has already got his."; and, of course, huge hypodermic needles and large pieces of stalagmite** Ahem. But, of course, I am still resolutely NOT thinking about James. In fact, I join you in saying: #claps# #bid# #claps# #bid# #claps# Thank you, Spring, for another very funny view of Smallview and James' bits in it. So. Are you excited yet? #smirk#

I will watch this show as long as JM is in it but why can't they let him tuck in his shirt? Or why can't he just take it off? And why can't they get better writers? He deserves better than this dreck. Thanks oh thanks for your commentary.

I don't know George Lucas' stuff (I assume you are talking about Star Wars here, but I barely know that story) so I can't add any illumination to the 1138 reference, if it is meant to refer to Lucas' work.

I am doing the transcribing because I think that there are people who maybe don't want to bother watching Smallville, but still want detail about what James is doing. Also, I think Fine's dialogue and scenes have been quite good. I can't wait for more!

Hopefully we'll see James in a variety of looks before the season is over. I have no idea what to expect on that.
