Jack has read Ianto's file, but I'm betting Iato has done some checking of his own. [...] 51st century pheramones. So, he's not exactly hiding some of his timeline, then. Or is this just with Ianto? i thought it was interesting how ianto seemed to pick up right away on jack's sudden healing. i don't know if he already knew something, or if he just happened to notice. and then in the pteradactyl scene, twice jack referenced hints about time travel though he seemed to still be vague about it to the rest of the team when S1 started. and yet at the same time, jack kept telling ianto that he didn't want ianto to work for him. it seemed kind of like half of jack trusted him right off and the other half didn't want him around. which sort of seems to fit in with jack's personality, really. indeed!

Interesting that he wasn't retconned. ('Cuz Jack had it available a year ago, to deal with Tosh's mom.) A cover story has been created and the video has been altered. it struck me as deliberate on jack's part - a test to see what owen would do if everybody else denied that what he saw happen, had actually happened. ;D was it just me, or did the score in owen's flashbacks sound similar to (if not exactly the same as) some of the score in "a day in the death"? and the team suddenly finds out jack has a brother. i can't wait for next week!

Explosion!!! Wheee!!! 1,392 deaths earlier. Flashback time! Jack's got some kicking sideburns. Totally kickin'! I'm thinking there's something to be said for seniority. And what better way to gain ultimate seniority than by living forever. Yeah, we know that's not true now. And I wonder if it was true then. That's what I was wondering!! I found the slightly different wording to be very interesting. Does it just come from the different perspectives of Alex and Jack? Or from Jack's more extensive knowledge of what the future is bringing? Interesting perspective on Unit. Fits with the times and the world view and so on. I can't remember what the time frame was for Brigadier and Unit from earlier Dr Who. That would have been after this, right? Because that had Daleks and so on, which would be future from this current TW time, I think . . . . Or would it? 1960's-70's, I believe. Daleks have popped up on Earth in all SORTS of times and places, though. The Brig stories were contemporaneous with the current real time on Earth. Sarah Jane was clearly a 1970's woman, etc. (Possibly early 80's - I used to know for certain.)
