Bones Do you like to solve mysteries? Do you enjoy the macabre? How about fun banter or exploring complex relationships?
If you said yes to any or all of these questions, then you are in the right thread. Pull up a stool and let's examine the dirty details and sexy chemistry of Bones.
This thread is for discussion of any, all, and only those episodes and previews of Bones which have already aired. No spoilers allowed! If you bring a spoiler up in here I will mess you up so bad that not even Brennan will be able to identify your remains after it's over. 'Nuff said.
So, let's get our investigating on!

Questions for clarification: Diane---do you mean spoilers for the ep aired a few days ago? Which, as I understand it is the whole point of this thread: to be able to discuss stuff that's already been aired without worrying about spoiling anyone who didn't watch it "on time." Or, are you saying it has spoilers for next week's finale? (Which I can't say I really saw in it---except for a reference to the preview shown---but, again, if shown (even in a preview) then NOT a spoiler. So, maybe you were just being super cautious? So, clarification from Monnie or TP in charge: actual spoilers should NOT be posted here, correct? They still need to go in the spoiler section.

I'm not the TP in charge, but as I understand it, if you are posting anything that could be spoilerish you either post it in the spoiler thread or hide it under the spoiler button. I prefer the spoiler thread so no one can say, they clicked on the button expecting a not so spoileriffic post and got hugely spoiled. Still, that's what the button is there for so. . .. I figured this was the place to discuss eps as and after they aired, too, but general discussion about the show is probably expected and fine. I'll defer to Monnie on this point, however. ;D Any other TPs want to weigh in here?

Having watched both the episode and read the article, I can see only the reference to next week's previews as being possibly spoilery. Everything else in the article refers to Monday's episode and previous episodes which have aired. My interpretation of the rules, and this is only mine mind you, is that if a show has aired, whether or not everyone has had a chance to view it, the events of the episode are not considered spoilery. It's my understanding that this is why we have separate threads for discussions of episodes as and after they occur. The separate threads allow those who have not seen an episode to avoid being spoiled by staying out of a particular thread until such time as they have viewed the episode in question and want to join in the discussion. At the same time the separate threads provide a forum in which those have watched a particular episode an opportunity to discuss what they have seen without fear of spoiling those who have not done so. What does all this mean? Hell if I know. ;D Seriously, my interpretation is that discussion of and links to articles concerning already aired episodes, in the separate discussion forums is okay and anyone who does not want to be spoiled because they haven't seen the episode should avoid the thread until they have done so. See the BtVS S8 and Angel After the Fall threads as an example. Not everyone gets their comics at the same time, yet discussion does occur among those who have and is acceptable. Of course, opinions of other techs may vary and YMMV as well. ;D Additional discussion/input is always welcome.

Whew! I thought the article would provoke a discussion of the episode. Instead it provoked a discussion of what constitutes a spoiler. I just figured if I was going to make a mistake I'd err on the side of caution.

Julia, or maybe it's more like cat hair?

I just thought maybe clarification was needed but I think we've hashed this point to death. I'm clear. I agree with Onjel's statments. I think Diane's link is safe. I only have actually responded to the article itself due to time shortages and also have talked about the ep on Tuesday, right after it first aired.

You are correct: Actual spoilers for anything that has not yet aired are not permitted in this thread. So, this means all episodes that have already aired (even if it has aired on the east coast but not yet on the west coast) and any previews that have aired are all fair game here. I don't see anything spoilery with Diane's link, unless someone posted spoils in the comments area. It all looked like speculation to me, which is fine here. Although, I did appreciate Diane's caution--it can be a muddled, murky, dangerous line, sometimes. So, when in doubt, use the spoiler button and/or post in spoiler thread. But when it's clear that it's a spoiler, I think it's best not to even post it here behind the spoiler button--some folks (like myself) have no self-control and must!click!button! even when they know they don't want to know. Does this answer the spoiler question any more clearly?
