Ha! Asked to soak in a Jacuzzi by a black ops sociopath. Pick out your trunks and wade in. I told you they were flirting. “That was before you faked your own death and came back without a soul.” “Ouch! That’s a little harsh.” “You kill people for money, Larry.” “Mike, I’m just gonna say it. There’s room for two in that couch” and “that guy sucks”. Damn! I love Sam. “No more bodies until we find a place to store the one I’ve got.” Ha! This ep is a very nicely black comedy. God, I love Fi watching the video feed from inside the cartel stronghold. “You got here just in time, we’re meeting a mysterious new character. Some kind of boss type, showed up about five minutes ago. I don’t like him so far. He’s kind of a sourpuss.” Heee! Everybody snarking on Michael for not speaking Spanish. “I’m starting to regret saving this guy’s life.” Ha! OMG, they’re letting Larry bleed all over Fi’s fancy duvet? She is not gonna be happy about that. Fi, don’t take relationship advice from Larry. Seriously! Go, Sam! Be a boyscout!! Yay! Larry wants Michael. New sociopathic black ops guy wants Michael. All the killer dudes fall in love with him sooooooo hard, because they think he’s like them only perhaps just a bit better. And they might be right. And they should be worried about it, if he is. Do they think he won’t get them? I still think he should have done what Sam suggested and just kill Larry right off. “If you ever come back to Miami, I will kill you myself. Now, have a safe trip!” I liked the surprise of the serious bits of this ep. Michael's apology to Fi and Sam? Wow!!

Something tells me Conrad might not be such an easy target. Aaaand I’m right. Like Fi. “When you’re conducting surveillance from a dusty cave in Afghanistan, you daydream about air conditioning, swimming pools, and iced tea. But spend a little time waiting for a socialite to hand off her tiny dog to a canine beautician, and that Afghan cave looks a little better. “And don’t forget to rub his belly! Colonel Peabody just loves when you do that.” “Who doesn’t ?” I love whenever Fi scares the crap out of Michale by getting cosy with his mom. “I’ll leave Tim’s office the way I found it. Ugly.” and “I know you want to chat, Tim, but now is not the time!” Ha! Tim’s gonna become the new client, isn’t he? And it’s the business partner who is the real bad guy, I’m betting.” Nice insight in liars / pathological liars. Don’t look for guilt. They enjoy lying and fooling people, so look for a smile, a smirk. Also? Nice titling: “Damon. Stylish bastard.” Ha! Sam always does such a nice job with those “Hello, officer, this is Mr. Innocent AverageGuy, and I think I saw something bad, you’d better come look” calls. I like how they have this “simple” job keep going horribly wrong. Oh, Sam. Sam, Sam, Sam. Your med tech character? Too! Funny!!! “Oh, I hope he’s OK.” “That’s gonna bruise.”

“If that evil limey mastermind offers you a ride, you treat him like a stranger with candy and you say ‘no thank you, sir’.” Sam, I love you. And then later he’s doing dishes! **swoons** And he’s all concerned about Michael and Fi hanging around with psychos. Awwwwww! He’s messing with Fi’s mind! That is Not Kosher! And he’s also crazy driver scary gun guy. “She knew what she was getting into.” Eeeeep! Sweet little scene with Michael’s mom helping to put together the tracker with Sam. There seems to be a general theme of “really really crazy bad guys and cases becoming much more dangerous than at first sight” this season. “Long story.” “Yeah. Whatever. You play nice, boys!” **snicker** “Sorry. Did I mention I was attached to an explosive device? Perhaps you should run along.” Heeeee! Also? Excellent twist!! Now, who is this mystery “I’m hunting Michael” guy, eh?

Michael just keeps getting in deeper and deeper and deeper, doesn't he?
And the FBI really believes he is "that guy."
Loved Sharon Gless. Loved that she didn't believe he did that stuff -- wonder how much doubt has been planted, surely some---because he refused to tell her what he DID do. And her comment about (ack, wish I could recall it verbatim) -- something about having to suffer because of Michael's mess and she mutters, he had to ..... because of mine.
Sam, Fi, and Mom must just be frantic over Michael's disappearance. So, who's study is he in -- "Managment's, or someone else?

Using the code that used to mean dad was on a bender, don’t come home. I agree with Fi, I think mom can take care of herself. Oh, excellent! Ultimate bad guy Simon is the bad guy from Life! “I want my life back.” Which is Michael’s line. And now he’s Michael’s client. This is rather a theme with Michael – his bad guys keep turning into clients. Also? Now we know why Michael has such a rep nowadays. He’s got this guy’s life. “I know this. If Michael wanted to kill you, you’d be dead. I know exactly who my son is!” (OMG – this is one of the big themes of this season! What mom knows, what she is willing to admit she knows, how involved or not is she in what Michael does, etc.) “Do you really want to pay for your son’s mistakes?” “He paid for mine.” “There’s no trick to getting down off a building quickly. Gravity will take care of that.” “He owns you now, man. It’s only a matter of time, ‘til you’re just like me.”

I loved her so much in this ep. She may not know all that he does, or want to admit to him or herself what he does, but she does know him. And her fierceness, wanting to protect him? Awesome! Management's or perhaps Management's boss(es)?

The return of Michael and Sam and Fi! Yay! ------- Vaughn - Michael's new friend. Yeah. Friend. We believe that. An organizations of burned spies who do the things the government can't do. Hmmmmm. I am skeptical like Michael. "I know you've had bad experiences with some of our operatives. And a few turned out to be unstable, corrupt . . . occasionally psychopathic." Very different way of handling Michael, this new guy has. Actually, you know, talk to him. I mean, yeah, grab him and ruin his life and get him shot at, etc. But also - tell him stuff and turn him loose (sort of) to actually do something. Heee! I love that Sam and Fi have been taking cases while Michael was gone. "Guys, guys! I have a loaded machine pistol in my hand and I have no idea what I'm doing!" OK, I just lost any respect I might ever have for these bikers. Burning the money? Dude! How idiotic is that? Michael is sooooo pouting. "Boss is a guy named Big Ed. Apparently, he's quite large." Oh, Bruce C, your line deliver just KILLS me! ;D Nice action, with the car/motorcycle chase and Fi cold-cocking the guy with the helmet and so on. "You should keep that Michael guy around. You'd make a good team." HA! Damn. Michael was really shaken by Simon. And what a great scene. I mean, when he breaks and talks about Simon saying it was only a matter of time until Michael was like him, that was amazing, but I thought the real telling moment was right before then. When she said, "That's it? It's as simple as that?" and he said "I don't know". The look on his face was just amazing acting. And you can see that this is the moment she sees something is really wrong with him. "Mike. You just burned a spy." Oh, this is a nice twist to the season! Michael becoming like the people that hurt him - just what he's afraid of, just what Simon taunted him with.

Huh. BN must be sitting on some DVRs. I would have expected some comment on the new development.
(And, perhaps, some new additions to the "Claims" thread.)

"You don't like the belt?" Now, I love the belt. Or should I say, I like what the belt is doing to show off Michael's ass. Fi and explosions - always a fun time! ;D "We use the garage for work. Private work." "When you were on vacation in prison, Michael, I realized something. I could some more stable people in my life." Oooooh! Jesse-the-spy-Michael-burned is hot! And all effective-action-man! "I'm guessing you're not here to salsa dance." And then Michael invites him up for a yogurt! OMG too adorable! Also? Yogurt! **takes a drink** "No magic. We get him to buy weapons, we get him arrested." I like the look on Michael's face as he says this - it's a rather subtle "duh!". "So when we find Jesse, we're just supposed to, what, share him?" "That's what we learn in kindergarden." OMG, taking off the glasses, the earnest look? Heeee! Something tells me that Michael was not totally unhappy with taking the opportunity to "go with the flow and shoot back". Well, Jesse was dumb enough to get caught, but smart enough to quickly figure out the plan to free him and played his part nicely. And he's moving in with Michael's mom! Awesome! Is he gonna become another little member of the gang? All the while that Michael is hiding his part in the burn and also "working" him for his new bad-guy "pal"? "This is my very best gun cleaner! A little goes a long way." "He's trouble. I like him." Man, I love her. ;D "I'm gonna kill him. Are you good with that?" "Yeah, I'm good with that." Oh, lovely twistyness!

So, the new guy is bringing a couple of themes to the party, yes? He’s taking the place of Michael when he was first burned while Michael switches role as the one who burned. And he’s the shoe everyone is waiting to drop . . . on Michael’s head. As his mom pointed out for him, very very pointedly in the last ep. “Out of options” and “thieving bastard” and “tough S.O.B.”. Ha! The titles always kill me. Damn. The cops have a hell of a lot of firepower there. Cool situation for Michael to be dealing with – hostage crisis standoff. Tactical support can make a foot chase much more civilized. Ha!! Oh, boy. Asking Fi to pull out all the stops? Yeah, this is gonna be good! **sits back to watch the fun** And Barry the money launderer gets a nice little bit of legit business out of the mess.

“Someone’s getting a little too flirty for his own good!” “Fi, I’m trying to snatch Kendra off the street and tie her to a chair.” “You are not helping your cause.” “This is just a harmless game of cat and mouse between me and a professional killer!” “I wish our conversations could be that flirty.” “She threatened to kill me!” “I could do that.”

I loved the psychopathic killer woman and the clever way they conned her into giving up info. And not just because she was Amita from NUMB3RS.

Psycho Michael should just not be that hot (the knife being dragged slowly down the guy’s chest as he talks about missing the sound of Russian screams) – but OMG, it is! Day-um! **fans self** “They used to call it karate, but I think they got a new name for it now.” “Foreplay.” Ha!!!! Love you, Fi. ;D “Are you telling me I can’t kill Russians when they invade Florida?!” ;D Nicely unexpected bittersweet ending. “It’s not just when you drink, is it?” and “someone who only cares about the idea of people”.

Ha! Love how Maddy was all prepared with a story and talked her way out of going to jail while the two ex-spies are busy dithering and OMGing and “we have to get her out of this”. HA!! Kidnapping Fi? Bruce Campbell mentioned this on in the panel at Comic Con and said, unsurprisingly, that it turns out to be Not A Good Idea. Eddy, hot headed little brother. Jacob – lying big brother. Ha! “Sometimes you have to be your own white knight.” **high fives Fi** “It’s one of you against four of them!” “Don’t feel bad for them, Michael.” Loved watching Fi do all the fast plotting and creative weapon creation and so on. Angry Fi and angry Michael and angry Sam are awesome. “Not good enough.” Sorta love triangle with Fi and Michael and Jesse? Such an old fashioned plot! **eye roll** Now, what was in the safety deposit box, hey? Code!

“Well, I was mocking you, I wasn’t saying you were wrong.” HA! I mean, I liked seeing Fi and Sam get all up in Michael’s face about his flaws, but it was also fun seeing him get them right back. Michael and Vaugh confrontation! Oooooh!! Lane and Harris – Not Michael’s Friends. Lane and Harris – the Clients. HA!! Nice use of hurricane damage as a plot feature. Cole is an interesting addition – sexy pretty killer guy. Fi and Vaugh confrontation! Double ooooh!! “Michael is an addict. He can’t resist this life even though he knows how it’s gonna end.” “I raised two boys, Jesse. I know how to search a house.” Awwwww. And Cole, of course, turns out to be a nobly tragic character. Perfect!! “Who are you?” “I’m Michael Westin. I’m here to save you!” “Who are you?” **getting testy** “I’m Michael Westin, I’m here to save these people!”
