"What rough beast..." The Second Coming. Yeats. The whole poem. A little obvious but cool.

Teaser. Claire attacking Peter. Interesting. Claire's got the Eyeliner of Evil and Leather of Badassness on. WHOA. I was thinking that this scene picked up some time after the end of last season. How did Claire turn Eeeevil so quickly? WTF is going on? OK, so that wasn't Claire, but a shapeshifter. And Nathan may not actually be dead. Oh, OK. So I guess he is dead. But only in the sense that he can come back to life some way, the way people often do. Not so dead? Or a hallucination?

Part I
cool clock. Hiro thinks it's cool too. Hee.
Hiro is the majority stockholder.
Money and destiny. A man without a quest. Idle hands... (?)
What happened to Hiro's sister? I thought she was going to manage the company.
Message from beyond the grave.
Sylar. Menacing as always.
A long night after a bad taco. *Groan*
Good shot, Claire.
Maya again. I had forgotten she was still around. Mohinder's back, though!
Is there any hope that Maya can become more interesting this season?
And here's the science babble again. Sigh.
Hiro gets all the family fortune? Has his sister completely disappeared from the face of the Earth?
Wants to be a hero, not a sentinel.
A little reverse psychology humor. I like it.
A secret formula.
And somebody with superspeed nabs it. That was fast.
Air flow, cool.
Meet our newest Hero.

You know how the commercials are always louder than the shows are on tv? NBC.com seems to have done the same thing on their website. And it's damned annoying. Especially with headphones on.

Part II
So Nathan, definitely not so dead.
And now Nathan is born again?
Everybody's searching for what makes them special.
Claire and Sylar are still running around in a dark empty house. Where is the rest of Claire's family in all of this?

Part III
He's probing her brain?
Claire is not like the others. Sylar can't kill Claire. She's can't die. And neither can Sylar. That's not good.
And does that mean that Claire is going to stay the same age, or continue to grow old?
About whether to give people superpowers. Ethics and morality.
Mohinder is become a classic mad scientist.
Yay, Linderman!
So is the theme of volume going to be "pride goeth before the fall."
Bruce Boxleitner!
Who's with Nikki. Who may or may not be Nikki. Probably not.

Part IV
Scorpion on the face. That'll wake you up in the morning.
Matt stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Hiro jumps to ChaosFuture. Where Ando has a killer lightsaber/deathray.
How did Hiro know the jump to that exact moment. I mean, can he just think: I want to go to a point in the future that is most relevant to me? Isn't that kind of vague.
Mohinder makes his choice.
Mama Petrelli!
Ah, Mama Petrelli's power is her visions/dreams.
So who is masquerading as Peter?
The heroes equivalent of Arkham and Belle Reve.
And that's where Daddy Bennett is.
Now Claire's family comes home.
The second coming. And everybody wants to be The One.
Cool rock painting.
Slouching Towards Bethlehem.

I have to confess that my attention wandered quite a bit while watching this first hour. I think I still have issues with last season, which isn't really fair to this season, cause it may be better.

Sylar and Peter are too powerful for effective narrative storytelling.

So it wasn't just my wandering attention that made the episode difficult to understand. That makes me feel better.
And I really liked Mohinder quoting the poem at the end. Of course, I've always liked his voice overs, even if they don't completely make sense.

What happened to Hiro's sister? I thought she was going to manage the company. i wondered the same thing. he doesn't even mention her! ;D it seems like the character has the potential to be interesting, and yet somehow the writers never make her seem that way. it seems like they've made her a two-note character; all she seems to do is alternate between whining about her power and sleeping with whatever non-related man is around her. boring much?

I'd say that sleeping with Mohinder is the most intelligent thing Maya's done so far. At least it shows that she is in posession of all her faculties and hormones. I mean, what woman wouldn't want to sleep with Mohinder, LOL?!

OK, so according to twop, the beginning scene between Claire and Peter was indeed in the future, and then FuturePeter traveled back to the present. I guess my attention wandered at some point and missed that transition.
