I'm pretty impressed by how these actors manage to deliver really long, complicated lines of scientific terminology and geekery, eg the rock-paper-scissors-lizards-Spock spiel.

I'm going to have to go back and rewatch that part several times to memorize it myself, as I've got at least three friends who will have amended their Rock Paper Scissors game to this, now. Also, see Jim Parsons on the late-late show with Craig Ferguson: He is so freaking adorkable.

Also, see Jim Parsons on the late-late show with Craig Ferguson: He is so freaking adorkable. That's interesting. It looks like he basically exaggerates his own mannerisms and vocal inflections and speaking style for Sheldon. And I got the impression that he's some one who's figured out from a young age what gets a positive response from other people and then capitalizes on that. The difference with his character is that he's fully aware of that while Sheldon has no idea why people are laughing at him.

"So that's all you've got? Apocalyptic genocide and go easy on the cologne?" I know they're all convinced that Leonard is doomed to failure in relationships, but why oh why on earth would the idea of Sheldon helping be the answer?! ;D

Based on the geometric progression, the relationship should have been over after 20 minutes.

Is Leonard's look, with the t-shirt over turtleneck, in fashion again? Whatshisname on Everwood had it too. I loved that look in the 90s, but I thought it went out of fashion. If it's back again, I think I will start wearing my shirts that way too.

See, Sheldon/the writers got all the biology and medicine (though I don't know for sure about the suture thing) stuff right in this episode. They *can* do it, which means they have no excuse when they get things wrong. Just holding them to their high standards is all.

"If you can't talk to her, why don't you just text her?" "Isn't that kind of cowardly?" "Oh, yeah! It's beyond contemptable." "That's true. But on the other hand, you are wearing a bird sweater." Oh, Leonard. He just does the totally confused "I don't know what the hell to do" look so well. ;D

I just started watching this show since we've been killing time in hotels. It is FUNNY. I didn't think they let people be this smart on broadcast television in this country. Something new to watch!

Since the things that are usually in the way are off tonight: oh, holy, this is a funny, funny show.
Julia, really stylized and cartoonish, but hilarious.
