“How long did it take you to trust me? . . . You do trust me, don’t you?!” Ha! Ooooh, a fashion con! What fun! Poor Eliot, trying to be all fashion-y and he gets no respect! “Not every one can rock the scarf.” Mmmmmm, Hardison. He is, indeed, rockin’ the scarf. Nate loves to do the wacky accents, doesn’t he? “Parker showed feelings?” “ A feeling. Seemed like a human one, but it’s hard to tell.” Also? The ever-changing backdrops behind Sophie are totally cracking me up. Oh my CK is so very very pretty . . . . [/tangent] Ahem! “Reindeer. I mean, I guess they could make marks in the snow, but what kind of math would they use?” This? This is why I love Parker!! “Cleavers. Haven’t done that in a while.” I know the feeling! Also? I like her headbutt. “These clothes are totally impractical, OK? There’s no range of motion, limited concealment options, and this reflective material would set off a motion detector a mile away!” “It’s a fashion show, it’s not Thieves R Us.” And then he’s all fashion talk followed by excessive masculine posturing? Adorable! Model!Parker? I thought I’d die! “In the spirit of fashion, the show must go on!” YOUR CK? Great episode! Lots of funny and pretty.

Scary!Nate is scary!
I did love the way the con was played out in such a short time frame, almost like real-time. The twist at the end with the cops was also very nice.

Or, you know, a threesome. ;D

Love the opening scenes, with the drinking is a symptom and the old nemesis and Eliot going all medieval on his ass and Hardison bribing the bartender and Parker enjoying the fight and “do not mention the old office” (poor Hardison is still traumatized by the loss of all their old tech, sweet baby!). Loved Parker laying out the timing and the guy is all “how long has she been sitting there?” and the “But you’re clearing my name with thieves. No offense, Parker.” “At what?”. “When I turn around, you do that think with your eyes that scares people.” Plus? Only Eliot would hear a description of intimidation and think of love. “Shine an ultraviolet light on that card.” **Hardison pulls one from his bag** “Seriously. You have one – just lyin’ around.” “After all, what was I supposed to do, let her sit and rot in the Ukrainian jail, to think about the poor choices she’s made, without setting things right, or explaining herself?” Smooth, Nate. “Hey, I’m not Sophie, you wanna drink, go ahead. I’d drink too if I were you. He’s smart, handsome, successful. And I think he’s younger than you too.” Can I take a moment to express my appreciation for the dress Parker is poured into wearing? And for the Parker that is wearing the dress? Because, Hot Damn! “I’m the retrieval specialist. That’s my job.” **gets all swoony for Eliot** Hmmmm. Assistant guy is thrown in with them? Makes me immediately suspect him. But that is probably too subtle for Leverage, eh? On the other hand, he does make an adorable “you two are crazy” sensible-voice-of-reason guy. Oh, awesome!! I was right about the assistant guy! Well done, Leverage, well done! Plus, we get bonus evil-guy-explains-his-plan-in-full-to-his-good-guy-captives! **applauds** The first bomb is always the hardest. Like the first cut is the deepest. “I hate this guy!” “ Now, you’re part of the team.”

Methinks it was a bad idea to bring Parker to see the psychic guy. Oh, yeah. Definite bad idea. "He is good." "He should be shot." You said it, Hardison! I like that they all got together and showed her how he fooled her. It was painful for her, but they were so gently and all there for her and helping her to see. And that is way better than leaving her all hurting and vulnerable. "You electrocuted him?" "Yes I did. It helps sell the bit." "I approve." "Thank you, Parker." "You know, her agreeing with you is not a good thing." Love seeing Hardison all jacked up and rockin' multiple laptops and searches, slapping Nate away when he tries to help. ;D Oh, nice twist with the target getting in trouble. "So, let me get this straight. We did such a good job of convincing people Rand was really a psychic, that we got him kidnapped." "Which means we have to find him, rescue him, and then, you know, take him down." ;D ;D Oh, that was a nice twist! Two confessions for the price of one. And then, letting him see them all at the end, so he really knows who did this to him? Very different than their usual mode of operation. Perfect touch to have Nate tell her that she'll see her husband in the baby she's going to have.

I was having a problem with whiplash in this episode- cuts between file footage of Boston and really familiar Portland places decalibrates my GIS! One of the "urban" settings was right across the road from VooDoo Donuts. Anyway- Loved Jeri Ryan's new age look, absolutely spot-on. Julia, and love 3 the way the interdependance and affection of the crew is growning

Much as I love Jeri Ryan, I still miss Gina Bellman's wonderful Sophie. My wish is that when she's ready to come back that they keep both of them. Can you imagine what wonderful cons the two of them could dream up?

Nate is losing it again, isn’t he? I love the combo of Hardison, Eliot and Parker. “You spend your weekends making these things, don’t you?” “Yes I do. And does anybody appreciate that?” “I do. I like the costumes!” I like the costumes too. “Those who are against me, they are ground into dust.” He does a pretty good job of being both peppy and scary/threatening. Especially for an actor known for his comic roles. “We’re gonna steal his ballpark. . . . And then the team. . . . Not necessarily in that order.” Heee! Heeee! The commercial? Hardison and Eliot and Parker and the “it took me 13 hours” and “I don’t like baseball” and “I’m not even talking to you” and the fake calls to radio shows and Parker’s Spanish? Heeee! We’ve lost Eliot to the playoffs. Ha! Yep, hyper!Nate is hyper. Too hyper. “Who are you?” “Hey, what do you want me to do?” “Seriously.” “I’m like a role model!” “ Seriously.” Big big day for us. Kill him now. “You always had it in for Lucille! You always hated my van!” And then his touching farewell. I like that the twist cleverness was spur-of-the-moment this time, not long planned. And then, OMG, James Stirling. Interpol. Oy!!!

“She was naked.” And then with the pay-per-view porn? Heee! Parker, I love you. “Not walkin’ away, that’s not my job. My job is to get your back. And Nate, I’m gonna do it, all the way down. But I need you to do your job.” “And what’s that?” “Be Nathan Ford! Be the person we came back from!” Breathless Nathan is breathless. Also? So funny that they’re doing all this in the same hotel. **snerk** Painful call from Nate to Sophie. And how heartbreaking that I can no longer tell if that was real or actually part of his con? Parker loves describing . . . things to people, doesn’t she? “To be fair, he did most of the cutting.” “Thank you. I appreciate it.” “You work hard.” Everyone always underestimates what Parker is able to do to someone she is displeased with. “Wow! You are really strong!” “I hang from buildings by my fingertips.” Eeeep! No! Don’t hurt Eliot! Don’t hurt Nathan! Sophie!!! New blonde woman called her, didn’t she? Oh, dear. They made Eliot mad. That’s never good. Hulk smash handcuffs! She was an “early warning system” if Nate went off the rails. Worried for a minute she was actually gonna drop her. Ha. Parker! Touching! Helicopter! Nate! Shot! Stirling! Nate sacrificing himself! Awwww, and Eliot gets them moving because he’s the one that’s got Nate’s back. Nice kiss, by the way. And a nice slap. I think Eliot almost went back for Nate. “My name is Nate Ford and I am a thief.” His own version of the AA greeting, isn’t it?

Got my cable fixed, so I was able to watch the first part of the premiere ep. The car crash? That was one hell of a cool look. Nice CGI and I really liked how the slo-mo thing matched Nate's freak out at the new job. I thought it looked really fake to me.

The whole hospital episode made me think of Star Trek IV. I didn't notice any deliberate references though.
I'm also sensing a recurring theme of child abuse in this season.
