Oh, ouch!! Damn that's a nasty break. Ouchie ouch ouch. Old Dead Doc Shephard!Jacob-stand in! "But Ben said he knew how to do it. He said I had to stay here and lead his people." "And since when did listening to him get you anywhere worth a damn?" So true! So true, creepy dead-guy-fronting-for-creepy-island-mastermind! Oh!! Locke is told to go to Eloise Hawking! Who is Ellie who used to be on the island, I'm betting. Who is Daniel's magic mommy, yes? Ooooooh! Sacrifice. "I'm ready." Wheel is slipped off its access and he has to "give it a little push". "Can you help me up?" "No. I can't." ;D Cuz he's not physically there, right? Or just 'cuz he's mean? Or cuz John has to "do it himself"? Heeeee! "Who's your son?" I love that no one else knows that this is Christian Shephard. ;D So, Locke was alive when he got off the island but then died later? Did you kill him, Benry? Hmmmmmm? Perhaps because he was planning on not having Sun come back? Ooooooooooooooooooooh!! Benry either didn't know Eloise was Daniel's mom, or else he didn't want the others to know that. What? Now she's saying that having only some of them "will have to do, for now"?!! What the hell!

GO Jin! "You have my word" isn't as strong as "I promise" Good point. She was kick-ass. And I can't decide if I'm glad or sad for her that at the end she remembered things about her childhood. I mean, yes good that she could provide some puzzle pieces to him that might be useful and it gave her some closure, but they were also some scary/not happy memories in there to be having to deal with as she's dying.

Huh. Christian. Yup. All John Locke ever needed was some encouragement. "that's why they call it 'sacrifice'" And it apeals to John's martyr instinct. "Wheel slipped off it's axis" Well, he kinda can't help you, as he's sort of a ghost, no? Dammit, Locke, if you'd got there and jiggled the goddamn donkey wheel sooner, Charlotte wiuld still be alive? "Who's your son?" and back to the future. The ring, and a more convincing story. Desmond! Okay, I've only rarely seen Ben nonplussed, and that "you're looking for Farraday's mother too?" did it. Yes! Exactly! That gives me pause too. 'Cuz she's shivercreepy?

Color me still very confused.
We saw Robert being a homicidal maniac; the question is how did he get that way?
I still don't understand why everyone is getting fatal nosebleeds. And why was it necessary to kill off Charlotte? I was rather looking forward to her meeting Ben again.
Okay, "Jacob" is the spirit of the island, or is he Dr. Sheppard Sr., since he had a personal interest in Jack and referred to him as his son? Or does the spirit of the island take on the forms of various dead people and with it their personalities? Seems a bit odd to me.
How did Locke die? Wasn't he still standing after he'd put the wheel back in place on the axis?
I missed a few minutes. Where is Kate when the episode ends? Also, where is Aaron?
So most of the gang has come to see the Sibyl, who will hopefully explain some of the island's mysteries and give them wise counsel, next episode.
I don't see John's ghost popping up to tell Sun to stay away from the island, as he promised Jin.
And where are Vincent and Rose and Bernard and the Others, etc.?

Recopied from my lj:
The smoke monster was back. And ew - nasty way to die random French guy. Poor Danielle. To go through all that while pregnant. Yikes!
I also loved the Locke/Christian stuff and the visual of Sawyer frantically holding the rope that ends up coming out of solid ground was really good.
Bye Charlotte. It's kind of sad when a gal that speaks Klingon is offed.
So the time skipping is because the wheel is all hinky? Is that right? And if Locke fixed it does that mean we can stop going all flashy every two seconds? Though I do still want to see Danielle stuff. I'm really enjoying her back story.
I loved Ben yelling at Jack and Sun. Really loved that.
And Daniel seems more and more like the key to so many things. Interesting. Confusing as always but interesting. Oh and a big aw for the Sawyer/Jin hug.

Just based on the title, I'm guessing that this episode isn't going to be a barrel of laughs.
Teaser
Sun with the look of death.
Aw, her cell phone has a picture of Ji Yeon (sp?).
Ah, Ji Yeon is with Grandma.
Ben vs Kate.
Sun makes her move. Yep, she was after Ben the whole time.
Ben knows that Jin is not dead. How does he know this?
He can prove it? Huh?
Back with Jin. The island is the same but different.
Sailed from Tahiti, Nov 15th 1988.
Now they put subtitles up.
The radio tower.
Didn't Rousseau hike up to the radio tower by herself after everyone else died? I thought that she didn't go up there until the rest of her crew had died. And they had been on the island for a while.
Are Jin and the French going to run into the other Losties?
Nadine mysteriously disappeared.
The smoke monster.

Part I
The one guy brought his guitar with him. Are these really scientists, or are they doing this on their own time?
Jin looks really hot all sweaty and sunburned and scraggly.
That one guy has got a bug up his ass.
The Smoke Monster attacks.
Slip and slide. Hey this could be a fun amusement park ride.
So I guess the "it" that killed the crew was the smoke monster and not time travel sickness.
Dammit, that's it? Phooey. I was hoping we'd learn more.
Ah, the temple has hierglyphics.
Dessicated arm, so in the future, but not incredibly far in the future. And no one seems to have been there since it happened.
Smoke signal.
The camp, except it is abandoned for some reason.
Music box again.
Oh, this is Rousseau's camp. And it's a violin, not a guitar.
Oh, I guess the smoke monster didn't get them all. And it was a sickness?
The security system guards the temple.
Wait, this guy is the father? I thought it was the other guy.
Rousseau's saved by the island, I guess.
Another jump.
Danielle again?
Nope, it's Sawyer. Finally. Aww...
I don't even like Sawyer, but I liked that moment.

Part II
Sawyer trying to explain the time jumps.
Miles and Daniel didn't know that Charlotte speaks Korean. Interesting.
Jin is not down with the bring Sun back plan.
Back to Sun.
Go go go, badass Sun!
Ben only tells the truth when its most convenient to him.
If Ben needs to get info from the some one (I presume Mrs Hawking/Probably Daniel's Mom) in order to go back to the island, then why didn't he have everyone meet there instead of by the docks?
Kate's had about enough.
Back on the island.
Any other languages? Just Klingon. Hee.
Another flash.
And another flash.
Now the Losties are getting sick.
This place is death. Episode title!!

Part III
Back with Sun.
I didn't account for traffic. Hee!
Jack is looking very withdrawal-y.
Jack tries to apologize to Sun.
Ben just can't handle everyone wanting to kill him! ;D
Hey, Ben, if you want everyone to appreciate your efforts, you have to actually tell them about it. And don't think they're ever going to appreciate your lying and manipulation.
Shoot him! Shoot him!! I guess the island would stop that from happening anyone.
Charlotte's regressing. Hey, that's like what Teresa was doing.
About whether to leave Charlotte behind.
Another flash.
What happens if The Orchid isn't around when they try to find it.
Charlotte sez: Look for the... what?
Like the music here.
Oh, they found it. That was fast. I think.
Another flash.
Now you see it... now you don't.
Oh, there it is. Ohhhh, "the well." That must lead down to the frozen donkey wheel area.
Charlotte's backstory. Grew up on the island with the DHARMA initiative, then moved away with just her mom (hmm...) Her mom told her that the whole thing was a fantasy (wow). She became an archeologist to find the island again.
So she sees the island as Never Never Land just like Locke. Or Shangri La like Jack.
A scary man told her to leave and never come back. If she came back, she would die. And the scary man was Daniel!
And... Daniel has no recollection of this? Has he just got a very good poker face? Has this just not happened yet and he has yet to fall out of time permanently in the DHARMA time period or something?

Part IV
Back at the well.
Nobody ever explains anything to Sawyer.
Jin challenges Locke. Go Jin!
Jin tells Locke to lie about him being alive. Which is going to directly contradict what Ben says.
I'll bet that Locke visited Sun before he died (or "died) and gave her the ring, so Sun thinks she knows for sure that Jin is dead and that's what steeled her resolve.
Are you sure you don't want us to lower you down? What would be the fun in that? Hee.
Another flash.
The flashes emanate from the well.
Locke crashes to the ground. Owwwwww...
Now the ground is fill in. Hmm.
There goes Charlotte.

Coda
Back with Locke.
His leg is stuck with something. Owwwww... again.
Footsteps. Christian!!!!! OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!
Locke was supposed to move the island, not Ben. So the whole thing is really Ben's fault?
Does Locke know that Christian is/was Jack's dad?
So Ben in the "present" is again doing what Locke is supposed to be doing.
I wonder if Ben killed Locke out of jealousy. Eloise Hawking.
I suppose that's why they call it sacrifice. Creepy!
There's the frozen donkey wheel. So the problem is that once it started its kept going and that's what caused the flashes.
Ah, so Locke doesn't know that Christian is Jack's dad. And "my son." So Christian still thinks of himself as Christian?
Wait a minute. Ben has the ring. Oh... Ben took it from Locke before he had a chance to give it to Sun.
You said he never came to see you. That's right. I went to see him. ARGH!!!!!!!
It's almost like Ben has no identity, he's just this rubiks cube you can't quite solve.
Also, to borrow from the twop Supernatural recaps, Ben is a lying liar who lies.
Desmond shows up. Just in time!
So, yeah. Mrs. Hawking is Daniel's mother.
All right, let's get started. Well, I guess we'll get started next time.

Sun and Jack in the back of the vehicle, And Jack apologizing. And Ben has HAD ENOUGH of all this talk about killing him. Huh. Who knew one could reach the limit of his ability to be considrered a bastard? Whups. Charlotte is lost in time in yet another fashion. "Knows more about Carthage than Hannibal" heh. She's talking about Daniel there, with the marrying an American thing? More Geronimo Jackson music. And Charlotte comes back to them to give cryptic well-finding advice. Welcome to the.. Orchid? station? "What are the odds we would wind up in the same time as this thing?" "wheeeep!" "You just HAD to say something!" Look! It's a well! that goes deep into the ground! Back with Dan and Charlotte.. She grew UP on the island? Holy crapapples! The island treats its native daughters rather poorly, doesn't it? "I remember something now" Crazy man who really scared her... Wonder who it was. That could be ANYONE, y'know? "I think that man was you" oh, oh my.. Oh, I missed that.

Kate had enough of Ben's bullshit, so she took off with Aaron before the gang moved to the church.

We saw Robert being a homicidal maniac; the question is how did he get that way? I wonder if it really was Robert, or only Robert. Like, did they all go into the temple thing and then the island or the smoke monster took them over? Or killed them and then sent out evil twins or something? I'm thinking he's gotta die while "back in the world" somehow, yes? 'Cuz didn't Benry say that Locke came to see him? ;D But I also can't remember if he really promised that or did he say he'd keep their child away?
Yes! I am very much wanting to know what's up with Rose and Bernard! Vincent I don't worry about, being the secret island mastermind and all. ;D
