Doing this the very moment I thought of it so I'm not scrambling to start the thread a minute before the show starts tonight...

1961, eh? One year (or less, depending on when in '61) after my birth. So, their story begins in this Coyote Sands place, back at this date? Hey, I could'a been a mutant superpowered hero, too! Relocation center? Relocate from what? To what? Suresh Senior! Woot! Was this an earlier governmental / military attempt to deal with the mutant menance?

Mothers are allowed to protect their kids. Hmmmm. Ah, and this is how the company was started. Time to go back to the old ways. "You mean, like erasing people's memories and killing?" OOoooooooh! They're not to trust Suresh Senior!! Intriguing!! Neat. Sister was weather-changer kid.

I imagine that Hurricane Alice got out of control and whoever was running the experiment decided that she and all the other kids and their families should be killed.
How did Alice survive?
The casting of Young Angela is very good; the girl looks as one could imagine her; not a perfect likeness but a similarity in facial features, but the mannerisms and voice are also similar.

Sibling theme, eh? Momma!P and her sister, Nathan and Peter. Well, not just siblings. All sorts of family entanglements and lost/hidden histories. Suresh father and son.
Dreamed about Dr Suresh. "You're going to kill everyone here."
Gets out of his control. Like it will/did for his son. Like it will/did for her son.

Gail And if it turns out Alice did survive, did anyone else that Angela is assuming is dead?

HRG suggesting that benefit of doubt s/b given to Dr Suresh Sr. "Who are you talking about?" Oh, snap, Mohinder! Good one.
Oh, and then Peter unknowingly repeating HRG's words - "you're a good person".
And then Mohinder uses Peter's words to ask him to think about forgiving Nathan. Nice use of the storylines circling around and around.
Ah - so Angela lied to her sister about it being safe while she left, and that is when everyone died? Except the kids who took off? So, that's why Angela doesn't know what happened to everyone?
Ooooh! Alice is alive!

Awwww. Nice dance. And he can make people forget. Whoa. So Alice has been living here, basically? "Why did you stay?" "You told me." Damn! Well. And also, she's crazy, yes? Oh wow. It all just spun out of control. Damn! Upset mutants defending themselves and scared soldiers fighting back. Socks for Alice. Um. Never tell the crazy weather-controller that you lied to her before! Never!! Wow. Talked her down from killing them all. I'm impressed! That never happens on this show! (And I know it's a bummer that she's lost her sister again, but really. What with the new government taking over thing, would it really have been more safe to take Alice away? I'm thinking no. )

Damn. Mohinder is so very very very pretty . . . .
Ahem. Story. Get back to the story.
Oh, it was Angela that rallied them all and planted the seeds for the Company. "It's a necessary evil."
Yay, Peter! Start a new, different organization! A family, not a company.
Oh, man! And now we're back on the road to that other future! Where Sylar is pretending to be Nathan and becomes president! Holy shades of season one, Batman!

Looks like Mo-Mo got a brain transplant; he's being less doofus than usual.
Who was the adult telekinetic who tried to defend Alice and got shot - her father?
And who was the handsome young man Angela danced with - could he be related to the Haitian - their powers are similar.
A good episode. I really, really hope that the series is renewed.

Part I
Mama Bennett recaps the situation.
So yeah, The Paper Company grew out of Coyote Sands, in a way.
It's time to return to our old methods. You mean erasing people's memories and killing? It's a necessary evil. Um...
Ah, Alice is Storm.
Thar she blows!! ARRR!!!

Part II
Peter digs into Nathan.
Even in your generosity, you are selfish. Yeah, that's Nathan in a nutshell.
We have got to find a way to forgive each other. Who is this "we?" What has Peter done to you lately, Nathan?
Daddy Bennett is suddenly on the set of The Wizard of Oz.
Mohinder finally shows up.
Mama Petrelli disappear in the middle of the storm. Maybe she really is Dorothy.

Part III
Mohinder airs his Daddy Issues. Daddy Petrelli projects a little.
Yeah, there's enough selfishness to go around. Stupidity, however, seems to be concentrated around Mohinder.
Daddy Bennett updates Nathan on how we're all well and truly fucked.
Now we're in an episode of My Two Dads 2.0. I'd so watch that show.
Flashback. The kids are planning their escape. But keeping Alice out of the loop. That'll end well.
And there's Adult Alice.
