My GOD that's some awesome hair. He's SO teenage. He looks like Rufio from Hook. Sooooo much better a regression than the scary be-wigged mock-teen Benry of last week. Loved her "now it starts" line.

Cool! Punked-out younger!Miles! So, are we gonna find out that Dr what's-his-name from the island is his daddy? Dad "kicked them out". Kicked them off the island, maybe? Body is "somewhere you could never go". OK, definitely the Island. Ha! Carpool doooooom - sandwiches and dead body. Secret mission. Ha! ;D Their story is gonna be that Ben just "went missing"? Uh. Not a very great story. And the other possible explanations are...? This is the Magical Lost Island! Say that a flying polar bear appeared and whisked him away! Say that he went invisble! Say that he suddenly magnetized and got stuck to a passing plane!

Naomi and Miles in a restaurant kitchen. "Your audition" Delivery for Widmore. Huh. Interesting list of things. "A number of deceased indivuals on it" Widmore using his talent to find Ben. There's that one point six million thing. Back to the past. "What part of 'I don't wanna talk about it' do you not understand?" His mom got in line behind him. Yeah, that would be a clue. "Polar bear poop. Got it" Two drunken surley workmen having a conversation. It's like the beginnign of a joke. "Got some kinda weird thing for my kid" And Jack, you keep your ass still and you don't talk to ANYONE. keep your mouth shut, jack. be guarded. and of course he approaches the drunk the exact wrong way. Jack, you dumbass. all you did was put Roger against you! And Hurley drawing Chang out in an actual... effective way. While being utterly hilarious. And Hugo, upon being told that "I wasn't aware there were circles" suggest going out fo a beer. Yep, WAY inside the trust circle. Hugo, don't say a goddamn thing about a swan. And Hugo sees the hatch installed and has a very very low-key hissy fit. "building our hatch"

This island has a number of deceased individuals residing on it. Much as hunting down a mass murderer sounds really safe, I'm gonna pass. My employer is willing to pay you 1.6 million dollars. When do we leave? Marvin Candle. Stage name. Ha ha ha ha ha! And yeah, if you didn't want to talk, why mention it in the first place, eh? You say a word . . . Polar poop, got it! When crazy eyes Jack tells you to forget a topic, dude? Forget it! OMG, Hurley questioning Dr Chang? Heeeeeee! "We should all . . . get together for a beer sometime. How awesome would that be?" Are they building a secret station or something? Maybe in Hostile territory? The numbers!!!!! The numbers!!!!! The numbers!!!!! They're building the hatch!! Ah ha ha ha ha ha!! "The one that crashed our plane."

Teenage Miles. Going through his punk phase. InvalidMom. Actress who plays her mom looks vaguely like Sun, actually. Miles asks his mom for answers. His father is dead. Or is he? Yeah, his dad is most definitely Dr. Chang. But is Mom the same actress from the premiere. Horace talking to Dr. Chang. And asks Miles to take the body to him. Are we going to get a reenactment of the Luke/Darth Vader "you're my father scene?" What does Miles know about the body? He looks pretty freaked. Miles is the only security person? They've got a skeleton crew running this place. Hurley invites himself along. Kate briefs Juliet. Enter Roger. Now they have to tell Roger that they gave him treatment without his permission. Juliet feigns ignorance. Roger gets angry: OK. 1) serves the lot of them right for doing this without Roger's or Horace's or anyone's permission, they clearly did what they did more for themselves than for Ben or for anybody else, and 2) y'all already know that this guy has anger management issues. Don't tap on the glass is all I'm saying. The Others are going to blamed for this, aren't they? Here we go. Yeah. Exactly. Ha! Also? Yeah.

Huh. So, who are these fish-taco ruining guys? There's that damn "shadow of the statue" line. They've gotta be either Ben's guys or Dharma folks? The team that's gonna win. Oy. Love Miles' little snort when Hurley tells him about the button in the hatch. You can change your own diaper. Heeeeeeeee and ewwwwww. ;D Pretty soon, he's gonna be looking for a sequel. Heeee! "Finger in a . . . . doc!" (I wish. Oh, I wish . . . ) I'm liking this slightly distanced, more laid-back Jack. Yep. Tape's come back to bite them in the ass. "Give you the benefit of the doubt." **punch** "Need some rope." Heeee! This? Is a very very funny ep.

Flashback. Naomi and Miles. Miles' "audition."
Who is that? Felix. A minion of Widmore's. Ah, this is the cover up/fake crash site in Bali.
Miles' recruited for his ghost whispering abilities. Hoping that those killed in The Purge would help track down Ben.
Offer 1.6 mil. 1/2 the amount that Miles' asked of Ben. So he was going to sell out to the highest bidder. I'm not sure Widmore thought about the fact that money doesn't buy loyalty or he would have done things differently. I wonder if all of the Boat People were hired with excessive amounts of money or through other means. (I kind of feel like this is Losts' version of Out of Gas.)
Hurley asks some Excellent Questions.
If you didn't want to talk about it, then why'd you tell me? Exactly.
Ah, his mom got in line behind him in the cafeteria. Heh. And AWKWARD.
Why bother?
What body?
Yeah, Miles is always sort of motivated into action despite himself.
Roger and Jack cleaning the classroom.
Roger is hostile and possibly drunk. Jack's probably getting flashbacks to his own childhood right about now.
About Kate. And Roger's suspicions.
About whether to "report" Kate. Sounding a little like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. Or McCarthyism. One of those things.
Yeah, he's drunk.
More RoadTrip
Hurley can't resist yapping away. *Sigh*
The Orchid is "classified."
Miles is 3 months old at this point.
Mom likes jazz; Dr. Chang likes country.
Dr. Chang: Wasn't aware there were circles. Like the Circle of Betrayal and Lies Trust?
Dr. Chang looks like he wants to squash Hurley like a bug.
A gate. Lie a chain link fence type of gate.
Is this The Swan? Yep, and there they are putting The Numbers on it. dun Dun Dun!

"Hey Miles!" So who the hell are thsee people? And there's that "lies in the shadow of the statue" thing again. "We're not paying you anything" well, that kinda screws their bargaining position. At least they stopped before they tossed him out. So some of the Dharma initiative survived? and these are they? Along with the ones that came over on Ajira 316? "He was totally down for that beer" "Hold baby you" "Change your own diaper" "Why am I telling you this?" "Because you're in pain and you need to let it out" Hugo is my brand of shaman. "Writing Empire Strikes Back" God knows, he may be the actual author. "Dutch boy with your finger in the.....doc!" "Heart was in the right place" "Yeah, well, where was her head?!" This made me giggle. As did Jack thinking his words could convince ANYONE. "Development. gotta go to the office." Yep, Miles didn't manage to finish the mission. *punch* This reminds me of an exchange between two of the soldier-monsters (and a prisoner) in the Girl Genius web comic: Gorb: Well, let's just kill her. Othar: Fiends! Kill her and I'll tell the Baron! Gorb: Well, maybe we'll kill you too, smart guy. Minsk: Gorb.... Gorb: What? Minsk: Gorb. This is turning into one of those plans... The kind were we kill everyone that notices that we're killing people? Gorb: It is? Minsk. Uh huh. And how do those always end? Gorb: The dirigible is in flames, everybody's dead and I've lost my hat. Minsk: That's right. And any plan where you lose your hat is? Gorb: A bad plan? Minsk: Right again!

Told the truth to the guy, to be fair to his dead son.
Miles really has more connection and respect for dead people than living, doesn't he?
Hurley - nice summary of the story while making your point. Also? "Face it. Ewoks sucked, dude." ;D
Awwwwww. Nice Dr daddy, sitting there with his boy. Did he make them leave to protect them, perhaps?
Daniel!! Whoa!!

"I lied to you" He is an honest good man, despite his bitter crankiness.
Okay, maybe not so much. Do his own issues get tangled up here?
Miles and Hugo back at Otherton.
I'm glad Hugo still has his good relationship with his father to look back on.
And Hugo busts out with the Star Wars wisdom!
Hah! Yeah, Miles, don't freak out and lose your hand.
Going out workin' with Daddy. Scientists from Ann Arbor. Is Daniel back? Yep.
How did he get off the island in the first place?
