OMG! A water buffalo! I am truly delighted and proud of us all! We did Jan proud, I think. And thank you, Spring, for the coordinating work and all. Excellent!

I think we should call him Archie. Oh, well suggested! ;D I am not sure of this reference. But he is a handsome fellow.

I am not sure of this reference. But he is a handsome fellow. Archy and Mehitabel. And I said it in the main thread but I'll say it here again. Thank you for this, guys. Jan would just love it.

Of course! Now *that* was a fun read. I liked this: procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday

Just got a chance to see the photo of "our" water buffalo! How perfect. Great idea, Spring. May the village be as blessed with "Archie" as we were with Jan. And, yes, thanks for all the work on this. leftylady

Jan,
So much has happened this year and I have missed you every day. Jason proposed In January, and the first person we wanted to call was you. We missed visiting you over the winter and into spring. There were times when I was planning the handfasting I wished I could ask your opinion on certain ideas. I missed having morning tea with you, chatting about knitting and spinning and just miss you in general.
I wish you could have been there to help Rich tie the knot in our handfasting cord.
We're all taking care of each other, Rich, Jason and I. We miss you everyday.

Just wanted to come by here and pay respects to Jan. It was a year last week, that I was iin Vermont, attending Jan's funeral. I still miss her. What a unique lady she was - how lucky we were to know her!

I'll never forget how kind you were to me, Jan, in the short time I knew you. I still think of you often, but especially when I bump into Rich over on Facebook. {{Jan}}

Three years ago, yesterday, I was in VT - haven't been back since, though I hope to go back before long. I was there for Jan's funeral - a sad, but lovely occasion. Miss you, Jan! How lucky I was to know you!
