I'm loosening the fit of the Tshirt into a soft drape. I'm going to use an ivory matierial and put the black lace over the bust, the right shoulder and the left hip. Small, black crystals scattered over the black lace. Short, not cap, sleeves. Oooh, pretty! You took the same vibe but with a darker color tone and a more sophisticated feel. Love the lace!

Okay, here's my finished one: Ivory finely knit Tshirt dress with black lace applique' at right shoulder, bust and left hip. Black lace accented with small black Swarovski crystals randomly scattered over. Dress is mid-thigh length, princess fit with short sleeves and deep V neck. Hem is slighltly fuffled for easy movement. Accessories are brick colored, knee-high boots with black lace insets at mid-calf; a deep gold/ochre clutch and a bold, gold chain necklace that stops short of the dress' neckline. Hair is swept up in a high ponytail. Makeup is strong but not outrageous, giving some color to what would otherwise be a very neutral look.

Younger Daughter got two classes, both requirements, and she's going in on Monday to see if she can talk to a counselor about getting the prereq waived for a third.

Judging! Kooan - Lots of questions, it's "a look", perhaps too much cartoony too much a joke, don't be doing this just to be different. A strong point of view, not forgettable. (I agree with the woman who said the problem with the second outfit was the stiffness of the fabric.) Melissa - The knew her vibe immediately, hope she can do more than just black, current, women would want to wear, fits well, the pieces go together. Beatrice - T-shirt, not attracted to it, simple dress if you take the cape off, shape is beautiful, comfort but that's not enough, don't tell us about you as a designer or who the woman is who's wearing this, not catching the eye as special. Christopher - Love the gown, could be on the red carpet, the short dress is hard to see what it's doing, love what he did with the fabric, not styled in a modern way, Nina has problems with the black dress, but loves the long dress and what he did with the fabric, delicate and specialness. Lantie - Not flattering to have the snakeskin on the front, don't know what she's trying to say, looks sad, no story other than textiles and there's not enough story there, not enough happiness, trying too hard, horrifying. (Oh, that's not good.) One step below design. (Oh that's really not good. Methinks she's going home.) Ven - Like how they work together, tailored fabric that is touch to tailor, really thought about her body, flower construction is great, technically well done, looks expensive, lovely. Winner and auf'er: Christopher wins for the flowy long dress, the short one not so much. And Beatrice takes a hike. That surprised me. I would have tossed Lantie.
