Still no website and no news from Vlad. Stating the obvious. The link is gone from the main page. That can't be good. . ..

Just stopping by to say that I got the drain out of my neck and the test results came back good - no cancer. Inflammation of the thyroid, yes, but no cancer at all, so I get to keep the other half of my thyroid.

Paul tried and tried, but the pharmacy still won't give me my pain meds. I'm going to have a talk with the doctor tomorrow, when I go in to get the drain removed. It's going to be a very long and sore night... Also, I'm supposed to empty the drain every six hours and write down the volume - and the nurse gave me a container with no measurements on it. So I have to peer at the markings on the bulb and estimate. Gah. I finally had Emily call my mother, because my mother decided to play games and not call for updates. I guess if she can't talk to me, she won't talk to anybody, pout pout. Does the facility have a patient advocate? Do you have any place to complain to about the delay in the medication? There is NO excuse for leaving you hurting like that. However, if all else fails A. Call your doctor and/or B. use over the counter stuff. It might not be as strong but it's sure better than nothing. As for your mother--she can lump it until you're well enough both physically and mentally to deal with her. I'm glad it all went well, though. Losing one's voice however temporarily is really awful.

Thanks, everyS'cubie. I'm still croaking, but that is more likely due to the effin' SINGLE-DIGIT HUMIDITY around here, not to mention the dust, pollen, and probably ashes from the fire north-westerly of us in Glendora. Seriously, it read 6% rh in our patio yesterday afternoon. Not good, and not too much hope of relief from the winds and heat for at least another week.
It's kind of amazing how many things are over two pounds, and therefore not things I am allowed to lift (and at least another week of that to go). Katherine is getting tired of being dragged away from her Gameboy, DVD, or computer play to help me. Too bad. Emily is more helpful, but I don't want to wear her out when she has a perfectly good sister who should take her turn. Also the cats don't get that I can't pick them up. They don't like being picked up when I want to, but if I can't, they just beg for it. Silly creatures.

Anne, glad you're feeling better, sorry for the horrors of the past week.
About the site: are the fics backed up anywhere? I hope! If so, we might want to look into asking for them to be archived at AO3 as a rescue (I think they call it?) archive; much larger ones that are in danger of being orphaned have been moved there. It does involve getting the permission of the writers, when available, but it might be worth looking into.
Julia, probably as well I didn't have to encounter the yahoo screw-up over the past few days, I've had a bit of a week this week myself.

Hi --
Don't know who to ask about this, but the link to Spikecentricity is broken. Is there any way to access Spring's episode analyses?

Go back over the last page or so, Baunger. We've been talking about how the website has vanished, along with a lot of people's original creative works.

In the meantime, Vlad, the S'cubie who handles the website, is trying to figure out why it went down. It was operating as usual, and he couldn't figure out what went wrong . . . but he hopes to get it ironed out.

Thanks for getting back to me, Spring. I'm not looking for anything in particular, but I recommended the site over on my live journal, and people responded that the link wasn't working. As long as it's going to be working again in the future, I don't need anything right now. This must be really annoying for everyone, huh?

We sure are hoping it will be back up soon . . . check back in a week or so; if it's not back up, I'll probably come up with an alternative way to share the reviews.
