I'll ask Imran when he gets back from dealing with the immigration people in Jacksonville: Urdu's his milk-language. But I dunno: the versions Isaac painted in the paintings just before his death and the necklace that Shielder/Prober is wearing and the tat that NotNiki has are all less stylized: as are the portions hidden in the computer code. It might be very ancient. www.cs.colostate.edu/~malaiya/scripts.html Evolution of Indian scripts. Fascinating stuff!

Well...it's a single helix, though. Or a VERY damaged piece of DNA. RNA then? I thought that...but I figured that your average television show isn't gonna be up on the differences between DNA and RNA. Even if it is RNA...the bases are mostly gone. It's just the sugar/phosphate backbone and a couple of sad little bases projecting from it.

Enough for one codon, though they're not equally spaced... Isaac's Painting #1 Isaac's painting #2 Shielded/Reader Guy's silver necklace The data page that Mohinder and Eden open up from the flash drive in Little Mo's tank: (rotated: All A, T, G, C. Not a Uracil to be seen... ) Same image, After Matthew put little white squares over all the little " " that were in the code sequences. And smoothed some corners a bit. Could be a single codon for symbology's sake, with a sort of Duchampesque view on the base-positioning... but I dunno. Whatever it is, I think it's a really neat little symbol, and I'm hoping that one of our graphics geniuses can come up with a nice crisp black graphic .gif of it..... Sara, Jan, could I ask one of you to give it a whirl? I'm also hoping it doesn't mean "DEATH TO ALL WHO SEE THIS, MWUHAHAHAH!" too. And no, there weren't any screencaps of NotNiki's shoulder tat available yet.

Spooky lighting. Cool. I'm not part of any organization that has initials. But you can't be a bona fide organization without initials!! So the Spooky Guy is with Glasses Guy. Hiro's friend knows English. Crossing paths with Nikki. Hey, I like this actress. I don't know where I know her from though. Paths crossing again. Cool effect with the episode title!!! Claire's autopsy. So Date Rapist tried to cover it up. Autopsy chick is going to freak. Nice music!! Oh, they slept together. Mind reading, spontaneous regeneration. So Papa Suresh knows about Greg Grunberg and Claire? Don't insult me. I've got trained professionals to do that. Hee. How did the parents not know about what happened? Papa Suresh's body was misfiled Just to validate a relationship that ended a long time ago. Hiro is going to win enough money to get Nikki out of trouble with the mafia. Hiro just makes me ;D All heroes have a system. Nikki's kid knows. Of course he does. Eden makes me more suspicious, the way she's insinuated herself. Little Miss Miracle Grow. Crapped his pants. Nice. Not nearly enough though. That's... not at all subtle you guys. default scientific position is skepticism adaptation vs extinction. romantic take on evolution. Claire being chased by someone. Such a cool painting effect. Rainman elevator ride. Like they wouldn't see that coming. Sign in the subway: Don't Give Your Heart To Just Anyone. NICE!!!! ASSHOLE!!! So Glasses Man is collecting them all. Re: Milo and English Speaking Hiro.

Are you looking for something closer to the ones I posted on the last page? (and feel free to do the detail thing via PM if you want)?

Snerk! Poor little lonely bases!!! hey, there's three. Enough for one codon, though they're not equally spaced... <snipped, but thank you, Matthew> That last and the one above it certainly look like a single helix - I'm just gonna ignore the "base" parts for now, since they're...not right. Okay, probably a stupid idea, but what if the not-right bit is symbolic of the mutations that're giving them their powers? I've forgotten everything I know about genetics, so I'm probably way off base. It's probably just a cute artistic motif designed by someone who knows less about DNA and RNA than I do.

Assuming most of you have checked out the nbc site, imbd, wikipedia and more. And this one: www.9thwonders.com/index.phpwhich seems to be run?/sanctioned by Tim Kring? Anyway it has pics from next week's TVGuide with Heroes on the front. Tread carefully and be aware of potential spoilers. Thanks for mentioning the site, Sue. I went to it, and something in the gallery images gave me an idea as to what our mysterious f-shaped symbol could represent. First, the symbol itself, unadorned: And now, how the 9th Wonders comic book logo is represented both on the home page and on all the pseudo comic book covers you can download in the gallery: So who's with me in thinking that the f-shape is actually a stylized double helix? MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!!!!!!! Not that I thought of it before you said it. ETA Of course I look with Art eyes, not Science eyes. Because I know some art, and almost no science.

But....I have a question. How did they save the world the first time?
I mean, Hiro survived to become futureHiro so he could come back and give Peter a clue BUT how did he get to the future the very first time if he couldn't come back to give Peter the clue? You see what I'm asking of course? I liked futureHiro too but allowing that kind of power/intervention opens up multiple big cans of worms. And......what happened to Greg/Matt? Did he survive? I haven't the foggiest clue! Isn't it cool?! And I'm really hoping Officer Matt escapes somehow. Greg deserves to be on a show longer than just the time it takes for the dinosaur-cloud-of-smoke/his own stupidity/the brain-destroying psychic to undo him. Besides, after what happened on Lost, he's in danger of being typecast as the good guy who gets et by monsters. Julia, a very career-limiting move, that

Okay, I think this is what Matthew was going for. Isaac's painting #2 became Shielded/Reader Guy's silver necklace became and the computer image became Putting all three side by side:
