yeah but then he told her where they were knowing it wasn't his mother, he was speaking with. I got the feeling that he told her the wrong name of the hotel to throw her off. Ooooh, I never even thought of that! That could very well be true. And then dad also immediately said they were leaving, so it may not matter.

The car accident was sooo very cool. Hiro told Micah about saving his dad and the woman, but I don't think anyone saw DL reach through the glass and open the car door. And the comic didn't show it? Did the comic stop when they got to Las Vegas? I mean, the one they are carrying around with them? I seem to remember that it ended and they were all "what do we do now" and they realized they needed to find that out themselves . . . . I think? Does anyone else remember it this way?

Hey, I missed what the cop heard his wife thinking. Did he hear her talking about having an affair? This broken DVR thing is cramping my ability to keep up with these complex shows where a lot of stuff is happening. If I can't rewind on the fly, I can get lost so easily!! All we heard her think was "He knows." And there was some more vague stuff, but nothing that definately pointed to her cheating. What else could it be? Cool - thanks!! So it was probably that, but mysterious enough that it could turn out to be something else. Neat!

Here's my speculation: He's not happy that his father took him away from his mother. He saw his father cause his "mother" harm and really wants them to either get back together or to live with his mom, who is so much more nurturing. And, he knows that Jessica would never hurt him. I don't know that he's so sure of his father. Ah. This could be, too. Although, I do wonder if he thinks better of his father now that he saw him rescue those people in the car. And was it only me that noticed the pill box on the driver's lap? OOh, I did, I did!

And was it only me that noticed the pill box on the driver's lap? what pill box? and speaking of pill, was the "pill" the cop took really for radiation? lol or am i just getting paranoid Heee! Feel free to join me in the paranoia, 'cuz I wondered that too. I think FBI woman is being a bit too accepting of all this. I wonder what else she knows or what larger agenda she has. Of course, I am now predisposed to assume conspiracy, since I am a fan of Lost and Veronica Mars. ;D

I remember it that way, too. But wasn't Hiro showing Micah how the comic book showed the car accident and the rescue? (ETA - Sara clarified that they were just showing him how Hiro transported to New York.) Yikes. Didn't record tonight's ep, of course.

A few other random thoughts . . . . I really like the actress that plays the artist's girlfriend who now is getting involved with Peter. Her grief at her father's death felt so real - a nice piece of acting, I thought. I felt it. Speaking of which, the dream that Peter had, as her dad was dying? Really beautiful! And the conversation? All about love and how saying / seeing what is real being his power, and then the wonderful flying . . . Man. Just beautiful. I liked how he and the dad seemed to have been, like, sharing the dream, maybe? Like that's what the dad saw as he was dying too? And it brings her further into the picture too. She's not just falling for Peter, she's also maybe starting to believe a bit about the possiblility of them doing something important - about saving the world. The running gag about the brunch was a nice sly bit of humour. "I never kid about family brunch." "We never had family brunch." "We always have brunch." "Since when?" ;D I liked the tug of war between Peter and Nathan. A bit of blackmail, a bit of bullying, a bit of coming instinctively to your brother's aid and throwing your own rep on the grenade to help him out while at the same time knowing you can use this to get what you want. That seems like brothers. Sort of like the "love/hate/you annoy me so much but I care about you" thing we saw between Claire and her brother. We also saw matching worries about what might happen if people know. Claire afraid her parents will be sorry they adopted her. Nathan afraid they'll be locked up. Also, I found it really interesting that Nathan was being so dismissive of what they could do. "Flying around. How is that gonna help anyone?" Even though he mentions just a few sentences later that it saved him from being kidnapped. What it brought to my mind was what his brother is learning. On its own, maybe it can't help anyone. But when they all start meeting up and banding together and using their powers in a combined way? That's when they're gonna save the world.

She wasn't doing the pretty crying thing; she looked like she'd been hit by a Buick--and that then the Buick backed up and ran over her again.

Maybe he was trying to get a pill and that caused the wreck? It was very prominent on his lap - it means something. Maybe another person who woke up one day with an unusual power that he got medication for?

None of us is talking! The wonders of IM. That's all well and good for those of you on East Coast/Central time, but it deprives us West Coasters of conversation. They always forget we exist.

You know, if you're anticipating radiation that makes a Geiger counter scream like that, you should probably be wearing protective gear. They might both be in for a nasty case of skin cancer, not to mention losing their hair.... On the up side, neither of them will have to worry about birth control ever again. Hiro makes me sad, thinking about what's gonna happen to him. Probably. He's so very naive and idealistic, and so joyful...and I know that awful things are going to break him of those tendencies.

None of us is talking! The wonders of IM. Talk, damn you!! ;D I liked the nice parallels and themes we got. Like sharing or not sharing info - why many of the heroes want to hide and why they are being "outed". Like brothers/siblings - the push and pull of them - fighting and still loving each other, helping each other out, at least eventually. And the way the various people are starting to meet up in little clumps. Hiro and Micah and his dad. The cop and the radiation fire guy. Isaac and Peter. I think the clumps are significant in more than one way. My new game: group the Heroes into "good" and "bad" - how do you predict they'll fall out, if we assume we have superheroes and supervillains? So far, I've got only three in the "bad" column: Nathan, Jennifer/Niki, and Sylar. I think. Micah is a wild card, IMO - he could go either way.
