That's it Claire... convince him that this is NOT an effect that Daddy Bennett is doing to you all... She adapts to new data quickly. 14 years before. So they are still calling him Claude. Mr. Nakamura is in on it!!!! Hiro!! And Bennett speaks Nipponese. HO LY CRAP. Nakamura Sr. is behind this all. *stunned* **joins you in the stunnedness** Just wow! Very wow. Yep. It was so straightforward, like when someone is deliberately thinking a message at you, not all mixed up like when most people are really just thinking. Head of, or one of the heads of an international group behind it all, maybe? Some secret evil cabal or "company"?

"guess she's not daddy's little girl any more" what a perfect line! Loved that! You don't suppose that Hiro's dad is Linderman? Ooooooh, that would be . . . . whoa. That would be rather apt, actually.

So Bennett knows that he can talk too. Or he is quick to adapt to change.
"Someone whose instructions supercede yours" "in your daughter's life"
Claude? Is that who he is listening to?
"hunt my own people" and he shot him. Dang.
Darker shade of gray.
Back to the present.. "Give Ted what he wants"
And he's heard Claire.
Where IS Claire? he's thinking.
Oh crap. Teddy bears.
RUN
Mom is gonna die trying to protect her indestructible child.
No, not so far.

Looks like we finally learn a little about Mr. Bennet's past tonight... HRG was paired with Claude in the beginning! I wonder what happened to break them up. Sooooo glad to see CE again, although those hairdos are pretty funny looking. I don't remember hair like that 15 years ago. Heeee! And all black and white, to make it look like the past. Except we're really only going back to, like, 1990, not the 50's. ;D Something very not good went down between Claude and HRG. Somehow the decision was made to kill Claude, I'll bet. And probably HRG was the one assigned to put him down.

Matt and Claire realise each other are "special" through thinking of Peter. But they haven't figured out just how special Peter is. it sounded to me like claire suspects something's up with peter's ability(ies).

Matt and Ted are not exactly seeing eye to eye here. But some of their snark is pretty funny. "I'm not gonna nuke the dog!" "There is someplace else we could look, like inside his head!" I know! They almost had me liking Ted there for a moment. It's like a warped Dunder Mifflin! So - they pair up Heroes with non-Heroes. That's the way they roll. Yeah - how ARE they going to stop him?

"Someone whose instructions supercede yours" "in your daughter's life" Claude? Is that who he is listening to? i wondered the same thing. the segue from that quote to claude seemed significant somehow.

That camera shot up to the Bennet's door at the start of each part is very effective. Seeing the calm neighborhood, no one suspecting what is going on inside their house. HRG and Matt work well together, mentally coordinating and all. Nice twist, having them end up being partners of a sort. "I actually heard him pull the trigger in his mind." Very creepy. And Claire coughs up a bullet. Heeee! Love the astonished look on Matt's face. ;D Well. Guess HRG can be right to the point and honest, and a bit snippy about it too, if he has to be. "I didn't make anyone, you don't have all your facts straight, and I don't appreciate your confusing my daughter!" And then he just comes right out with the fact that they would have taken her away if they knew and he was protecting her. Bravo, HRG! Heeee! "Do what I say! And you, do what I think!" Commanding leader guy. And Matt falls into line. Well. That almost worked. Ted really does want to hurt Mrs. Bennet in revenge for his wife's death. Staying at the house means he can destroy HRG's happy family, and himself too. So, he gets revenge and can leave this world where he is unhappy. A suicide that takes other people out too. The most viscious of suicides. Heh! Wife saw his gun and the sedative and thinks he's a serial killer. "That's particularly kind of stupid of you." ;D "Do what I've always done - what I'm told." Hmmmmm. Wonder what he did before he was recruited for the "paper company"? Also goes to show how love will change that "only following orders" mentality. Ooooh, the Haitian as a kid! So, was he really mute back then and he just hasn't told anyone he can talk now? Or was he pretending all along, even back then? "He doesn't want the truth, he wants his wife back." Very astute observation. That's why he wants to destroy your family and himself along with them. 'Cuz he'll never get her back. And that's why it's so important to his world view that HRG "did" this to him. So it's not him that killed her. Everybody sits around, watching Mr. Sparky.

Oh how sad; Claire is losing her daddy, for her own good.
Could Lindermann be Niki's father?
