So let's all hate the non-Mohinder previouslies... Mr. Neglected Muggles. So ted is melting his way in... This has GOT to leave some radiation behind, even if he's got it clean enough that he's just emitting neutrinos. Thank god Janice is pregnant, as Matt's not gonna have a motile sperm cell ever again. Matt, you KNOW what the right course of action regarding capturing Bennett is: you are NOT doing it. Claire has pretty much blown her cover. Bennett didn't do anything to either of you. Matt trying to defuse things... 15 years back.. So who's Bennett's boss? he looks familiar. This is 1992? Partner to keep him honest. CLAUDE!!!! So that's how they know each other. REALLY blown cover. Oh, Claire, you are SO busted... Step away from the radioactive man... Well, Claire's safe, but everyone else in the room is screwed. Huh. This means that Ted has a sort of subset of Claire's power in addition to the radioactivity. Otherwise he'd be deadydeaddead. Julia Robert's big brother Eric. Oh, thank you!!! I couldn't get that name out for love or money! It kept being right on the tip of my tongue! And then I also couldn't remember any of titles of his movies, so I couldn't IMDB him.

Wow! Wow! Wow! one of my favorite episodes! such great TV the last 2 nights, BSG and now Heroes. I loved the sacrifice HRG made for claire. I always said he wasnt a bad guy, he may have been misguided in the company he worked for, like he said "I'll do what I always have, what I am told to do." Wasn't it stunning?! HRG has come so far. From the "just take orders" guy who thought he'd be a lousy dad to the guy sacrificing himself for the daughter that was forced on him originally. Wow! Oh you know they'll have him involved still. How could they not use such an amazing character? You ask the million dollar question, my friend. Does he know, but has come to care more about his child than the company - like HRG? Does he not know and will face a "what to do" moment? **nods vigorously**

This show gets us both so revved we're wondering if it's suitable pre-bedtime entertainment. (We're old, what can I say?) I was both moved and saddened by the final scene. I'm left wondering how much of HRG's memory of Claire is now wiped. Will he now go back to being just a "company man"? Will he now be simply one among Claire's hunters? I thought of that too. Did he just take the memory of the "escape"? Did he take the memory of caring about Claire and planning not to give her up? Or is it back to "just a company man", as you so excellently put it? Will he just be following orders?

Huh. Jean (I'm gonna use Jean Deaux for the Haitiian, because I'm amused by my own cleverness ) has to have a power much like Matt's, already, only more intensive. Like Sylar's power and Matt's power combined. Heeee! Jean Deaux. Good one. We'll say that is his name and his nickname is "Angel". Or possibly "Angelpants".

And ever'one in that house all day except Claire should be dead, dead, dead. That's all I have to say about that. Huh. What color is Cherenkov radiation in open air? Is it blue, like it is in water? So very totally dead. And folks in the whole neighborhood heading toward dead. Dead, dead, dead. But it sure was exciting to watch!

Oh, most of the people in the neighborhood would be okay, at the moment. Long enough for them to evacuate and put up a big concrete monument all around the former Bennett house.

Yeah, but, see, Matt...I very much doubt he "did" anything to you. Correlation is not causation....

Like it matters; everyone but Claire is gonna be dead of radiation poisioning in a week or two anyway. And should we just call her "Connor" from now on? Except, of course, that SHE still remembers even if no one else does.

ETA: Cherenkov radiation doesn't appear to be noticeable in as tenuous a medium as air. *Shrug* I still maintain that they'd all be screwed, if there wasn't a special "reality is mitigated all over the place" field going on, anyways. Indeed. *raised eyebrow*

OMGWTFPAPERFACTORY! Sulu is the leader of the baddies!
There's no way Hiro's ability can be a coincidence. Either he is adopted, or Sulu is a Machiavellian version of Sylar: just as willing to kill, but only when his goals are compromised.
Now, the question remains: what ARE the ultimate goals, exactly? Obviously they want to control the evolutionary process, but what philanthropic end could justify such means?
This episode kicked all kinds of booty. It's refreshing to see a long form, ensemble-oriented mystery/sci-fi show that actually PAYS OFF in a clear and unambiguous manner every once in a while.
Crisp, smart writing and wonderful acting...especially Jack Coleman, Christopher Eccleston (no surprise there) and my man Greg Grunberg!
Not that Greg Grunberg and I know each other or anything. I just love the fact that he's being given a chance to shine.
On a purely superficial note...while Eric Roberts is well-cast in this role, he sure does look bad. If homeboy got some work done, I hope he kept the receipt. That's what hard living will do, I guess.

Wow. Whoa. Some episode, huh? Best flashback plot ever. Is everyone part of the Initiative? That's one big conspiracy, and Hiro's daddy seems to be high up in it. I loved the glimpse of little Hiro. Poor lost Ted. His power brought him nothing but heartbreak. Which by the way, his last name wouldn't be Kaczynski, would it? Having a wee little Unabomber joke, are we? Poor Matt. Can't win. Poor Mr Bennet. He's lost his soul. He's completely ruthless. Such an interesting man. At least we know what really matters, and what he'll do anything to save - he loves his family. When Mr. Muggles was barking at the melty door latch, was anyone else reminded of the little dog barking at the advancing lava, in Volcano? Must go do morning wake-up-family-feed-cats things. Later. ETA: Claire had quite the Buffy moment there - it reminded me of Buffy's leap off the tower, when she was trying to get to Ted with the tranq. I really feared she wasn't going to survive. Hey, Claire died twice (this episode).
