Wow! What a great episode. I really hope they don't kill off Ando! Sooooo worried about Ando!! Oh, that's right - Linderman is dead! And so is Mr. Roberts! So, 3 dead so far in the finale. (I guess I had only been thinking of the "powers" people . . . ) But it will be so fun to spend the summer guessing what adventures they'll have next. We might need a thread. At least to muse about what might be interesting superpowers. They've been far more creative than I'd imagined. (And they darn well better hadn't kill Ando. He's got some of the best superpowers around.)

I don't like Hiro's favorite childhood story. Particularly in an episode that references Silver Surfer #1. The Silver Surfer, IIRC, gives up his heart and his humanity to save his world. Also, I can't believe no one pick up Claire's remark about going "on patrol".

In fact, his agreeing to become Galactus' herald and help the god-like being find other planets to devour is how he saved his own world. Oh, and in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie the Silver Surfer is embodied by Doug Jones, who played the lead Gentleman in "Hush." (although I think Laurence Fishburne provides the Surfer's voice)

I remember the Surfer as largely filled with regret for the life he gave up and the love he lost.

Hmmm...and with Hiro's dad telling him that he believes that he is ready to 'ascend', I can see where we might get Hiro metaphorically giving up his heart - and that would make Sara right, in that it could be Ando that Hiro gives up. Hopefully, he remembers in time that Ando being dead in the future was not a good thing. And now I'm thinking Hiro's dad might not be all that 'good'.....

I think killing his mom warped Sylar's brain just a bit more than it already was. I think you are right. And I'm fanwanking assuming that Linderman healed the atrophy, too. ;D Well, I mean, if he could heal a spinal injury, a little muscle rebuilding should be cake. I was sort of sorry to see Linderman go. Or, at least, I was sorry to see his power go. It's kind of sad and ironic that the one power that would seem to be unequivocably good for people other than it's possessor seems to have driven that possessor crazy. Sort of the ultimate in M.D. God complexes, really.

Wow. Sulu with a sword. It's like my fantasies have come full circle.... Heeee! The moment I saw that scene I thought, oh, Rachael is gonna be soooo happy. ;D Well, I mean, really. The only way to improve that scene would have been to add Orlando Bloom. With a bow.

I have no insights. Squees and gasps, but no insights. Linderman is a healer. Was. Interesting. I'm really curious as to how the way things are unfolding differs from Future!Hiro's - what will or will not turn the tide, so to speak? **nods** It's like, we've seen the now-time, and we've seen 5 years forward of possible-time, but we didn't see all the events that happened in between. We didn't see the details of future!Hiro's string map. So, what things have already changed? What haven't? How close is the situation right now to the reality he lived? So wonderful! Daddy Nakamura being all Yoda to his son? Perfect! But the minute I heard that Ando left, I was also thinking, what - you couldn't take a few moments during your conversation and practice session to let Ando in on the plan? Make sure he knew that you were going to go after Sylar? **snortle** **nods a lot!**

Ooh, I noticed it in passing and then forgot to say something! Yes, in the conversation about being superheroes and wearing underwear on the outside and so on, yes? Perfect person to say it, too, eh?

Although, I also fear that "cutting out his heart" can be meant metaphorically. Like becoming the hardened future!Hiro who has killed too much. Or that Ando is his heart.
