So, I was thinking. If Peter can access more than one of his latent absorbed powers at the same time, and he can still fly, the odds aren't bad that he would have flown away from Nathan and then exploded and Nathan could still be alive and Peter hopefully, could have survived the reaction. (Though I find that hard to believe since it would have torn his body asunder and incinerated him completely.) That's all. I'm hoping that Nathan just sort of space shuttled him up there, let him go, and zoomed off before Peter exploded. And then Peter, once he exploded, could access his flying power to get back down again. Or, you know, he could crash land and then kind of ooze back together again. You and me both, sistah! ;D Although the oozing back together is kinda shudderrific.

Ted never did when he released his energy. Peter probably explodes similar to an EMP bomb. Pulses the energy outwards which destroys everything around him. Hopefully, Nathan flew away before that happened.

I HATE this show! Nah. I really love this show. I was so psyched to see pretty much every hero involved in the fight against Sylar. Jessica empowering Nikki was perfect and when she took the meter from Sylar and hit him with it, I practically shouted my cheering out loud! More to say, but I have to go. Except for this, I believe that shape shifter really looks different from the image she showed all of us. She said she was huge and then started talking about how mean people are to each other because of where they are from and how they look. She sounds bitter and it seems to strike close to home. She could be a giantess or something, but she isn't what she appeared to be. Also? Cruelty was only part of the motivating factor for what she did to Nikki. The other part motivating her was to keep Nikki from saving her son from the inevitable. The only way to get rid of Nikki was to take her by surprise and wound her so deeply that she would give up and not fight back. Also? I think the cruelty comes in because Nikki looks like she wants to look and Jessica was always "Linderman's girl". Or, I could be talking out of my butt. ;D Excellent finale. I'm geeked for next year. I think shapeshifter girl looks different, or at least used to look different in some way too. Because of how she talked about that, people's reactions, how they will be cruel to those who don't look the way they think they should. I am sooooo geeked for next year! ;D

I've never known for Peter to access more than one of his absorbed powers at the same time.
Although no one seemed to have outright say it, I get the feeling that many are disappointed that both of the Petrelli brothers had died . . . as far as we know.

Yesterday I had a clear vision in my mind of him actually using two of them at once, but I can't remember what scene that was. So, at this point, I'm just hoping. I would be very disappointed if both Petrelli brothers died.

I would be very disappointed if both Petrelli brothers died. I went and looked this up in the days after the episode aired; according to the Heroes Wiki, the only time we've seen Peter access two abilities at once is in "Five Years Gone," an example being when he's seated at the bar and uses telekinesis to pull his drink towards him while he's still invisible. "Our" Peter, however, has yet to do the same. Then again, they do say necessity is the mother of invention...

Because of how she talked about that, people's reactions, how they will be cruel to those who don't look the way they think they should. I am sooooo geeked for next year! ;D Might as well blow all the points I intend to make in my review while I'm at it... I also wondered if the Candace we'd seen wasn't what Candace actually looked like... until that fight with Niki. All the evidence indicates that Candace's ability is one she exerts conscious control over—unlike, say, Peter and Claire, whose abilities are constantly "on," for lack of a better term. She chooses when, how, and how long to use her power on others, and she's the one dictating what form the illusion will take. The flip side is that since she's actively maintaining the illusion, it'll go away the moment she's unable to do so: ie if she loses consciousness. And what we saw bore that out: when Niki knocked her out, both Micah and Candace's projection of Jessica over her own form vanished. Yet the Candace lying on the ground when "Jessica" disappeared looked the same as the woman we've always thought of as Candace. Which, to me, means she either loathes her true appearance so much she's somehow ingrained that personal illusion in her brain so deeply that maintaining it has turned into an autonomic process... or the young, dark-haired woman is in fact her real appearance. And while I'd never rule anything out when it comes to this show, usually I do tend toward embracing the simpler answer to a given question unless I've been given an excellent reason not to. So I'm figuring the person we saw when she was out is what Candace actually looks like, despite what she intimated to Micah. Just my $.02. Assume the IMO, etc.

I've just watched the finale and...wow, that was some episode! I refuse to believe that the Petrelli brothers are dead because...well, because I just do. Heroes without Peter and Nathan? Just no. Nuh uh. Not going to happen. Living in the land of denial or not, that's where I'm going to be until shown otherwise. Loved the final scene with Hiro. I am so psyched up for Volume 2. I am completely in love with this show!
