Ah, Hiro went back in time help his childhood hero become what he was meant to be, but what he is really doing is turning himself into what he is meant to be. A hero himself. So very cool, this. And I'm loving how Ando is being kept in the loop with the tiny scrolls in the sword. Awesome!  |

So, Peter is now a robber who is learning his powers slowly thru trial and error while shirtlessly (boo ya!) falling for the female member of the walking Irish stereotypes gang-with-sort-of hearts-of-gold family. (Hey, he didn't shoot the guard guy, so that's a step down from totally evil bad guys, yes?) And are we seeing a flip from Peter as the "good brother" to Peter as th amoral "what's in it for me" guy? Does that mean Nathan will suddenly start taking care of wounded puppies and devoting his life to the poor? Maya and Alejandro are on the lam, again, only now they've got wheels and a California surfer dude to get them across the border as repayment for helping him get out of jail and, you know, bringing him back to life after first killing him. Interesting how she had to manufacture a danger to herself before her power kicked in. So, she really has no conscious control over it, does she? Also - dude! Everytime the two of them get separated? I'm all "someone's gonna be black eyes oozy and dead soon". All our "what the hell happened to DL" questions got answered, sadly.  "Husband. Father. Hero." Nice touch, since it was the protection of his family that got him killed. Nice paralleling of Micah (why can't we use our powers for good/to help) and Nikki (We gotta hide, not let people know, I'll take care of things protectivness, up to the point of trying to get "cured" by the scary company) to Claire and Daddy BB. And on the OMG side of things, the family she's leaving Micah with is Uhura?!  Who are we gonna see next? Checkov? Kirk? Random red shirt? It's a Star Trek Extravaganza! Candace!Michelle is dead (or is she just doing a nice illusion of death) after foolishly thinking she could win a total psychopath over to her side. Which, granted, was also sorta psycho, just a different flavor of looney. Leaving scary Sylar apparently temporarily "powerless" in some isolated jungle!forest hut, having to kill people with his bare hands, poor thing.   Mr BB and lizard-girl Claire had a good chat, though without full and honest disclosure on either side. Mr BB not letting her know about his super secret Mohinder mission and LG Claire not telling him about West's spying. And speaking of West ("Giving myself a pedicure." "You're not very good." Ha! ;D "Horrifying spa debacle." Heeee!! ;D), apparently the whole "sweep her off her feet flying then necking on the beach" thing is gonna help contribute to Mr. BB's nasty death/injury. Possibly because old HRG bagged and tagged the kid, back in the day? And speaking of flying, I wonder if the mood would have been killed if Claire had been all "oh wow, you like totally remind me of my bio-daddy"! Matt and Mohinder are so completely the old married couple now that they're playing "fine, you run off to Haiti with your super spy stuff and leave me to deal with our daughter's problems, and you never take me anywhere anymore, OMG where did the magic go, Mohinder" games. Plus, Mohinder? Not exactly the suavest spy under pressure guy, but he's doing not too bad, I guess. Meek new glasses wearing company man? Creepy when he's all "supervision is good" and "you're part of the family now". And working in the same space where Isaac was killed? I wouldn't like that. And finally, past!Hiro is sending love notes updates to now!Ando via a not-that-hidden sword compartment that I can't believe would really have stayed secret all those centuries. I mean, "open, Ando"? Dude! I'm liking how Hiro's story keeps turning and twisting every time I think I know what's gonna happen. Hiro is actually gonna be Kensei, except no. He's gonna do a tough love intervention on the guy who's freaking about his healing "curse" and make him see how this power allows him to be the hero that no one would have guessed. Snaps him out of his panic, turns him away from his greed, and, apparently, actually makes him heroic. And get the girl. Who Hiro maybe loves. Which, dammit, is so much more a noble path for Hiro to take than I was expecting. "A true and noble friend" indeed. Which I should have expected, knowing what I do about he and Ando's friendship. Now if only I knew if he can't leave, or won't leave. Whew!! |

I don't care how needy they are. **nods** I'm hoping that we can attribute it to being dehydrated and lost and panic-stricken and thinking that without her brother she might kill all sorts of people without wanting to. And without being able to reverse it like here. Well, and this also convinced me she really has no ability to turn it on or off by herself. Had to get them to attack her so it would kick in defensively. And, from what we've seen before, can't stop it once it starts either. |
