So now she is a murderer? Nope, undone again. Good. "Go conquistador"? I get the feeling this is supposed to be meaningful to us. Is this the mascot of Claire's school, for example? The bullet just kind of popping out was a nice freaky touch, wasn't it? ;D We're seeing the dark side to Peter, aren't we? And I'm not as convinced as she was that he would have stopped if she hadn't intervened. I wonder if we will see that it really takes 2 superpowered people to be Kensei. I mean, he is one heck of a lengendary guy. I still can't decide if she's really dead or if the whole thing is an illusion, to make him think that a) he's powerless and b) he's hurt and lost in a jungle. But the more likely scenario is that he really did kill her and is currently unable to access or accumulate powers. Which means he's just an ordinary psycho killer. For now.

So he broke the goose that lays the golden eggs, then? Or did she stage that for him? Nope. Where the hell IS he? So Peter's being brought into the clan? And Sis does ink, too. Heh. Quickly-healing tattoo. "You're a good soul: I can tell" says the bandit-chick. So Peter is gonna give up his actual self and stay as Peter the last-name-less Irish gangster with the new girlfriend instead. Wow. That was the "godsend" sigil on his arm where the other tattoo was. **nods** That was a really interesting touch. Does that mean the symbol is, like, hard wired into them somehow? Heee! Or, if she does, apparently that would be a bad bad thing. Oh!! I like that idea! But then, I want Sylar dead dead dead dead. ;D

I am so underwhelmed by Sylar's return. I had hoped we were shut of him; I don't like him and had more than enough of him last season. Can't they come up with a new uber-villain?
What with two Star Trek alums in the show now, and three altogether, perhaps we'll see a Leonard Nimoy guest shot as Nathan and Peter's dad in a flashback...
Great to see Grandma Uhura; but Micah is right; they shouldn't have to always hide their powers.
Yes, Mo-mo/Matt double-daddy goodness!
I don't like Claire's new hairdo.
I don't really care much about the two Mexicans; maybe it's shallow because they don't have a pretty/flashy power, rather the opposite. Or maybe because I'd rather see more of the others.
You think Hiro's dad could have given Ando a promotion...
They just had better not kill off Daddy Bennet!
Gail , who is sorry to sound like a cranky-pants

Leonard Roberts is the second African-American regular to get killed off this show in less than a year. If I were Dana Davis, I would start looking for employment elsewhere . . . just in case.

Gail - I'm a crankypants right now too. Except for isolated moments - I wasn't very happy with most of what I watched last night. Sigh.

I was not as excited by this episode - which, I hope, means that it's a setup for a major plot point down the line. The guy Peter pinned to the wall looked very familiar. Dominic Keating, from Enterprise and (I knew I'd seen him in some Joss-thing-or-other) the "Helpless" episode of BtVS. Sylar has, it appears, been collected by the Dharma Initiative and dumped on the Island of the Lost. Maybe he and Jack can grow emo beards together. Hiro playing Cyrano, or maybe Sancho Panza, or a bit of each. Well, what's not to love? They'd better not hurt my Mr Bennet, is all I have to say. I have arranged for a long stay at the Temple of the Greg, just in case (it was really Sylar, it was really Sylar...).

I love the actor, very creepy, very good, etc. But yes, I didn't really want Sylar to come back. Although, the idea of bringing him back powerless and mess with his mind? Better than bringing him back and having him start up where he was before. Yes. He and Claire are the wave of the future, perhaps? Not hiding or using their powers in secret, like the previous generations of powered people? It was definitely not good to see an end with Mr BB all dead looking. Not to mention dead looking with an indifferent or ignorant Claire. I want to know what the other pictures were in the series between these two.
;D

Neat. //obsessive word search results follows// So - 'Rogue' is this year's car/buzzword. www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/rogue?view=uk My guess is that Claire goes rogue, or maybe all of the second generation does. Last year's Nissan was the 'Versa'. It's definition was difficult to pin down. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/versareVersari - Verb versare 1. (intransitive) to be, to find oneself, to live Which makes more sense to me than the first definition, which was 'to pour'.

It's a disturbing trend. Of course, me being me, what gave me the real angry eyebrows was the fact that Candice/Michelle's true form was an overweight woman. Because GOD FORBID any woman who doesn't fit typical size profile be happy with herself. That might lead to self-esteem and happiness with how you are. Can't have that. Bad move, Kring. BAD move.

See, that scene gave me angry eyebrows for a totally different reason: in the first season finale, when Niki knocked Candace unconscious she changed from Jessica to being the Candace we already knew—which told me that was in fact what Candace actually looked like, as it strongly implied she couldn't maintain any illusion unless she was consciously choosing to do so. Which totally makes sense to me—it's a power she obviously chooses when and where to use, indicating it's not a 24/7 ability like Claire's (ie one that can't be "shut off") but one that's employed at will, like D. L.'s or Micah's. So showing her corpse as a completely different body type here is not only wildly inconsistent but highly implausible. But I totally agree with your point as well.

All of which makes me wonder if Sylar isn't still trapped inside an illusion, and Candace isn't really dead at all. My brain hurts.

Wow. I didn't take note of that. I saw her shirt bunched up but didn't look closely enough at it to see the change of body type. You're right. Very bad move.
