Before I go back and read - West is not what he seems. He approached Claire and tried to make friends with her as soon as she started high school, he's been staking out her house and spying on her, and now he's encouraging her to lie to her dad, he "casually" dropped the bomb about the man with the horn-rimmed glasses - I think he's a Company mole, or working for the bad guys, or something like that. I am suspicious of West too. He's just too too convenient. Not to mention the whole future-picture of them macking while possibly daddy BB dies. ;D So far, I'm seeing two main plot points for the season. (Not themes, but storylines.) One is to show us the history or the beginning of the powers. And one is to show us the way the future was "supposed" to go. In other words, show us how the world differs from the future-if-they-let-NY-blow-up-and-Sylar-is-pres we saw last season. What will they all do with this opportunity? Well, and of course there's also this year's big bad to deal with.

Wow. Christine Rose did an awesome job during Angela's conversation with Nathan. Yes, she did. And wasn't it nice to see Nathan without the muskrat living on his face again? Lots of hotness - Nathan, Sylar, Matt and Mohinder - the cutest couple ever. **snortle** Yes! The muskrat beard of doom is gone! Yay!

Much better episode this week. The good: Sylar is back to his killing ways. No brain eating yet but give the boy time. And he was hot. And there was a cockroach. Oh, I missed the cockroach! Where was it? Took me totally by surprise, that one did. In retrospect, it makes sense because we're seeing multiple examples of how other family members have powers, etc. But I just never would have thought of that. I like how they're introducing new powered people who are in the same place our main folks were last season. Not knowing what the heck is going on. And I think Monica's power is a fun one. I'd love to just be able to see something and then do it. ;D But I wonder if it has to be on TV, or just see it in RL too? I actually like the thing with the Twins 'cuz I'm interested in how exactly their power works. Although, the continually getting separated and then OMG people die will start to get old to me soon. West, on the other hand, I don't trust farther than I can throw because he is just too perfectly cliche guy.

this season has been interesting in terms of illustrating the show's premise that people are who they are - not just claire, mr. bennet, and micah unable to fully contain themselves from being themselves even if they know they are putting themselves at risk, but to me, the most interesting example so far is sylar resorting to killing the "old-fashioned way" (manually) when he realizes he's unable to do so telekenetically any more. I like this. "You define youself and therefore your use of your power--->your power does not define you." **nods** I like this too.

Heroeswiki just reminded me that A Streetcar Named Desire, the play from when the phrase "the kindness of strangers" comes, is primarily set in New Orleans. And as of this episode, Claire Bennet is now the only character to have appeared in every single episode of Heroes to date. ...Which was what I meant when I said that I reckoned this episode was gonna be set with DL's momma. Which tells me I should be more explicit. That's what I figured you meant. **nods** Lots of stuff with eyes in this ep/season, isn't there? Not to mention more examples of the symbol appearing on people. Not just put on them by someone, but appearing as part of the surface of their body.

So Claire's the only one? Huh. Yeah, no Peter this time, and no Hiro. ETA, re: Molly's eyes? AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoops, my bad.

i agree - west is a mole. i think he used claire's loneliness and isolation against her - used them as a way to get into her world. it makes perfect sense - who could a girl with powers who's supposed to be in hiding trust, except a peer with superpowers? i found it hard at first to believe someone with such a good BS meter as claire would be willing to trust someone so creepy, but - it makes sense to me if you factor in losing her old friends (still miss zach ) and her old life, and now having to pretend to be somebody she's not. and it's not like either father makes it easy for her to open up, you know? both of them have closed her off when she's tried to talk to them about stuff.

The only storyline that seems interesting to me, at the moment, is the one involving the parents of the "Heroes".

The only storyline that seems interesting to me, at the moment, is the one involving the parents of the "Heroes". I'm pretty much in agreement with you; of the storylines involving our main cast, only Hiro's and Matt's (after the revelation about his dad) have even come close to capturing my attention the way last year's stories did. I did like what we saw of Monica, though, and look forward to seeing how her development progresses.

I'd like to see her, Peter, Hiro, West, Claire, Micah and Molly form some kind of Jr. Hero league. Although, it's more likely that there is going to be a split between them and some will align with Sylar and some with Peter. I need to screencap the photo of the older generation.

The only storyline that seems interesting to me, at the moment, is the one involving the parents of the "Heroes". Amen to that. Though I don't find Hiro's adventures in the past uninteresting; I'd rather see him at Ando's side in the present.
The twins? Sigh. To me, they just distract from much more interesting characters. Peter in Ireland? Well, I'd rather see him dealing with his brother and mother, and both brothers coming to terms with what they are as well as Mama's past.
Sylar? Good for one season; I don't want to have him pop up every year as the psycho-killer. I really wish he had stayed dead.
I'm not sure West is a mole; but he does seem just a bit too dreamy and convenient for Clare.
I do like Grandma Uhura and Monica and her brother and Micah. Does Grandma know what DL could do?
Still, as long as I get my Mohinder Fix, I am not unhappy.

Oh, thank you! So, there were 13, including the picture taker? Well, they could have used the camera's timer to take the photo.
