This episode was mostly meh, as far as I'm concerned; more frustrating in its messy plotting and confused motivations than anything else. For such an intelligent man, Mohinder sure is dim. I wonder if he even comprehends what he's gotten himself into? And where is his better half Matt? Probably about to find Victoria's body. Peter's another gullible one. He watched as Adam released Victoria and let her grab the gun, so Adam had an excuse to kill her, and he still trusts Adam. Please listen to Hiro, you ninny! Shirtless Sylar? My eyes! My eyes! I never trusted Maya, and I was right. Shirtless Noah? Now that's a different matter entirely... I do like the Bennets. Claire was heartbreaking, mourning her dad (and what a contrast to the electric eel Elle, who no longer trusts hers), and Mrs. Bennet is turning out to be a pillar of strength. I can see why Noah loves her so; now that her mind is clear, she's the other half of his team. This season is beginning to remind me of S6 BtVS, in that everybody is making horrendous mistakes, in some cases by trying to do the right thing. It'll all end in tears, mark my words.

Hrm. Mohinder? Still stupid.
Peter? Getting there.
I was very glad to see one of the Boring Twins go. Though for my money, it was the wrong one.
Yes, I'm mean.
And...is it just me, or does Mohinder's logic not resemble our earth logic? So...Daddy Bennett is still alive. Check. Inside the Company. I was unclear on whether only Mohinder knows, but I'm assuming the entire Company knows.
So Mohinder knows, then, that the Company is lying to Claire and her family about the death of her father. And he's okay with that?
And, seriously? WTF - the finale? Stupid networks anyway.

Mohinder might feel that Claire would be better off far away from Daddy Bennett, as he has been kind of a loose cannon lately. Thing is, he doesn't know that Claire doesn't want to hide anymore. Mohinder and Peter were all kinds of stupid in this episode. I mean, how many chances did Peter have to *read* Adam and didn't? And now Sylar has Molly, and Maya, speaking of more stupid, is going along with it? With the big pile of stupid we had going on in this episode, I'm thinking that the writers didn't get to do their usual rewrite before the episode was finalized.

..... For such an intelligent man, Mohinder sure is dim.... Peter's another gullible one.... I agree with Rachael and Anne - I'm getting a bit frustrated with how the plotting seems to require a certain level of stupidity on the part of the characters. In addition to Mohinder and Peter... Claire---after all of last season, needing to relearn that she can trust her dad (HRG) Hiro---Jumping in without thinking of the consequences....okay, heroes sometimes do that, but because they kinda sorta know the situation demands it. Confronting Peter without enough facts, info, etc seems excessively rash. An excuse to have him charge in with that sword. Alejandro---sure, confront the evil murderer with no real plan... Monica---enter the bad guys' lair and hope they don't come home.... ::unsuccessfully searching for an eye-rolling smilie::

Monica also - she's inexperienced in the hero biz, she's relatively young, and she was just trying to help Micah. The rest of them, however, should've known better.

Right there with you guys on the stupidity factors and being tired of it already. Also? I'm damn sick and tired of having to read subtitles. Cuts down on my ability to multi-task. That's just me, YMMV and all that. ;D I was telling Sara, Karen and Greg that while there are some good eps interspersed with not-so good ones this year, overall the show is not as riveting for me this season. Maybe it's the boring twins and the too many new characters; maybe it's the increasing stupidity factors among the characters; maybe it's the subtitle thing or maybe it's just that the writing has gone down hill, for whatever reason. This show is rapidly becoming not-must-see-television for me, unfortunately.

The season has been something of a letdown after the slam-bam excitement and fun of the first year. The Mexican twins were the worst downer of all; but Hiro spent a bit too many episodes in Japan; and is there anyone in the audience who cared about Peter's Irish girlfriend? (I have trouble remembering her name) I did like the introduction of DL's New Orleans family; more time should have been spent on them rather than the terrible twins. And I still wish Sylar had stayed dead. And why wasn't Grandma Uhura given more to do; sheesh, even Mama Petrelli had a few scenes to chew.
And what has happened to Mohinder's intelligence?
Is the season really over next week?
I'll still watch next year, or whenever they bring the show back; perhaps it can regain some of its former greatness...
GAIL

GAIL I agree. I liked the New Orleans contingent and really wanted to see Nichele Norris get some lines and scenes. And, the twins? Bored now. Peter's girlfriend? Bored now. Sylar? Annoyed now. I'm right there with ya. I hope they can do better next year.

Haven't ready everyone's comments yet but have gotten enough sense of discontent, and this season has had its highpoints and lows for me too. But keep in mind the Times Square poster about the june 08 disaster. This season was not conceived as a tight 11-episode arc. It just got derailed, sidetracked and run through a trash compacter by the strike. What should have been purposeful side stories to develop the new characters and build up to the may/june 2008 sweeps finale didn't happen. We got what we got,and more's the pity. There was so much potential. If they can come back later this spring maybe they will have time to elaborate - or find another media to cover the intended course of the season.
But, yeah, rushed is not of the good.

At least there would be some cohesion there and we would have some insight into why the side stories rather than just being confused and distracted. Also? The abundance of subtitles isn't due to the rush to finish before the strike so I'm not cutting them slack there. My 3D friends don't like the subtitles either. ;D

The frantic mess of the last few episodes is the result of Kring trying to fix things the fans had complained about, like too much of the Japanese princess and twins storylines. I also read that Kring refused to reshoot the upcoming episode as a season-ender when the network asked, so we're going to get what he had planned before the strike. I've been avoiding spoilers, though, so I could be wrong.

Teaser
In the future. Peter jumped back? Or this a dream? Yep, a dream.
About the virus.
Victoria Pratt. Biological Engineer. Discovered the Shanti virus. So she knew Papa Suresh.
Company Founders. The virus is their crime.
Ah, Suresh's blood is the cure to the Shanti virus like Alejandro is the cure to Maya's black oil.
Parent's sin; children suffer. As compared to Mama Petrelli's statement about parent's making sacrifices for their children's sake.
Love seeing Mama Bennett standing up to Midas.
So the Paper Company is the one who revived Daddy Bennett, and their keeping it a secret.
Midas and Elle interaction. She's going to switch loyalties soon.
Ooh, episode title on the arm.
Suresh. Is he following his own agenda or the Paper Company's?
Daddy Bennett is mad at Suresh for using his own shady tactics.
Suresh has indeed bought into the party line.

Part I
St. Joan About comic book heroes.
Nikki and Micah reunited. About the virus.
Micah's backpack is gone. Wait, is that supposed to be mysterious? Maybe one of his cousins has it.
Sylar and Maya. Wait, where the hell are they? I'm confused.
Maya thinks they could just go back home after she's cured. What the hell is she smoking?
Sylar suggests that Maya can learn to control her power. Wow, he's completely right despite being diabolical.
Maya controls her power. FINALLY. sheesh.
Tracing Kensei's life history.
Maine.
Dude, don't leave Kensei with a gun.
Meeting Victoria Pratt.

Part II
Going back to 1977. Not again. Hee.
Kensei seeing things on a larger scale. Hard choice for the greater good. Similar to Linderman's philosophy.
Virus taken to Odessa. Hmm.
I still don't understand how Daddy Nakamura got mixed up with a bunch of Americans.
Strain 138.
Paper Company facility in New Mexico. I don't suppose it's located in Truth or Consequences, NM?
Victoria shoots Kensei. Awesome! Except it's only a temporary deterrent.
The truth about Sylar.
Maya and Alejandro have a falling out.
Creepy, creepy Sylar.

Part III
Bye, bye Victoria. Symbol written in blood.
Yep, Micah's cousin borrowed the backpack. And the backpack got stolen.
Was there anything in the backpack that the Paper Company or anyone would want, or was this just a random mugging?
Are you going to get me a new dad, too? Sniff.
Monica's going to get the medal back. She's going to be Micah's hero.
ShirtlessSylar. Hmm. I think I would find that attractive if he weren't so despicable.
