I wondered when Nathan started with all the noble talk if he was going to be the one to buy it. Looked like Noah walking away in the crowd after Nathan was shot. Momma is a really bad dude. There is not much of the older generation left, but it looks like next season, whenever or however that will be, will have the younger generation pitted against the older. I wonder why the virus that Peter nuked shined the God-send sign in his hand when it turned to dust. I thought that was a bit weird. Poor Hiro. How is he going to survive the guilt of what he did to Kensei. He's too good for it not to affect him. Poor Hiro - he lost his flying man. One hilarious last moment between Nathan and Matt - which reminded me of when Angel hitched a ride on the back of Spike's motorcycle. I'm going to miss Nathan - but maybe, as Lola mused, he doesn't die - again. Now, that would be cool. I agree - Noah was the shooter and as soon as Nathan started his spiel I knew something would prevent him from finishing it as it was taking far too long. I kind of think he has to stay dead this time. They have a new flying guy and with everybody just popping back from being dead, it's going to make the show downright silly. He's dead. No, he's not. Yes, he's dead again. No, alive again. Dead. Alive. Wake me when they chop off his head. Though Kring are you serious? You revive Maya of all people and kill off Nathan? Seriously? Okay then. I thought you HAD been reading the blogs. Niki was pretty much a given and at least got to die a heroes death. I for one have been bored with this character since her intriguing introduction. Hiro, I felt, redeemed his oh so boring Japanese arc in the last few episodes. I loved the flying man and the steely disposal of Adam. I was thinking that killing off Nikki and Nathan, but reviving Maya, had to do with criticism of killing off lots of non-white characters. Of course, I think that making non-white characters badly written is as bad as killing them off disproportionately.

Well, I’ve gotta say the sophomore slump continued for this ”midseason?” finale for me. While there’s much I still like about Heroes, there’s a lot of “meh” or “ugh” happening too. -I really didn’t want Sylar back. Big agree with Sue’s advice to TK. Okay, Lola’s comment about having the character grow and evolve could work…the blood also cures Sylar’s mental illness, and he’s a good guy, and no one believes him, or he gets a chip and he dies being truly heroic and…oh wait… *Still underwhelmed with KB’s Elle. There were a couple moments in this episode….but she just hasn’t jelled for me. *The stupid character syndrome is annoying. Plotting needs to be developed so that there’s more fatalistic, “forced into it” kind of scenarios, or plotted so the characters behave with rational, though perhaps flawed, reasoning. They ALMOST achieved that with Noah. *Those Twins….what a waste of time…. *I will miss Nikki. My favorite “group” was the family unit with DL and Nikki and Micah. *Overall, there just wasn't enough coherence, imo. The conflicts seem random, which keeps the tension down. And we don't see enough of the Company's real goals and how they pose a threat. Are they even the bad guys? For a bit, Mo-mo seemed to think they were deserving of his support. Does he still think so? To continue with the Buffy comparisons being made - is the company like W&H? Ambiguity can be written to develop the story rather than to hinder it, which I think is the present case. Okay, that was way more bitching than I intended for a show I actually like. I think, when I like a show a lot, I set my expectations very high…I’m doing it with TW too so maybe I need to stop with the critiques while watching and just “enter the moment” and enjoy… Eh. Torchwood was amazing compared with this, and I've been bitching it out all season. TW blew me away with the finale, though, and also redeemed some earlier (IMO) questionable plot devices. Heroes was still better than 90% of what's on television, but...they just dropped the ball big time this season. I'm very "meh" about it all. Two stellar eps and nine that could have been improved dramatically.
