Start with AI exterior at night
its really a big building
the entrance is all grand and theres lots of floors and many windows
must have been a real pain when it went boom for all the other people work there
Cordelia overacting hugely
acting, actor, someone who acts, action, doing things
Cordelia acts but somewhat clumsily in both worlds
the world saveage gets better, the other stuff... not so much
they're in the yellow blue green front office again and you can see a picture of a yellow jug with yellow flowers and green leaves and fence on a blue background
its just totally decorator and not much about what the picture is
Doyle in just two layers, with short sleeves. With just Cordelia around. Bet the coat goes back on when theres more people. But I think the short sleeves are a first. Gradually less armour around these new friends.
Vaguely green, with wierd frilly white pattern. Patterns are just not of the good.
Wearing a watch
also behind Doyle, a potted plant in a decorated pot. The thankyou present from last week? Would have to swap discs to check.
Cordy white top with green skirt (matching Doyle, but with a less ugly pattern. stripes). Green stuff around left wrist.
Angel's black jumper might even be slightly green. They're all leafy and coordinated today huh? Also, Angel in a soft ribbed knit jumper. Vertical stripes like bars, and chain round his neck. But, soft. And no coat or jacket or suit type parts.
Cordy: “Well, stranger things have happened. No wait, they really haven’t."
Doyle watching Cordelia walk away has the travelling eyes, down and up and all over. And a little smile. Not subtle
Doyle trousers are ugly baggy. Sort of shapeless look. Loose clothes to hide in? Like with weight fluctuations. (she says not from experience at all obviously
)
Doyle putting his feet up on Angel's desk- just really feeling at home here.
Angel's look. Not a monster grr, just a human with territory one.
Many many books on his desk, and also an odd little pyramid thingy thats kinda pretty. And the bookends are triangle shapes too. Lots of sharp angles and wonky lines.
A:It was like the soviet secret police if they cared a lot about shoes.
lol
Doyle talks with his hands and moves his head around a lot. Lots of movement.
With Hamilton I decided it was deliberate concealment and it annoyed me a lot.
With Doyle I'm thinking its misdirection but without the smug I'm better vibe it doesnt annoy me.
Also he's just expressive about stuff.
Brown jacket again today.
Demon guy in a suit, black and grey. Suits are just bad news this season.
Lighting in there greys out Doyle's clothes too. Plus his hair looks bad. Not a happy effect.
Classical music at Angel's. So he likes stuff that isn't Mandy then
Yet another new angle of his place. I love this set, theres tons of bits of it and they're all interesting to look at. The bed with the arched ceiling above it I cant make sense of architecturally, but to look at its great. Pretty pointy frame around the bed area. Shiny red cushions on a very patterned duvet cover. Flowery? Not typical guy solids or stripes. Bars in the frame. Either three matching boxes or a trunk at the end of the bed. I think trunk. Brown. Doors left wide open, make the space bigger. And little round orange glow of lamp.
Angel with a towel. A black towel. So he's still wearing black.
also his arms are more tan than his body. But we arent noticing that because he is very pale. We've been told.
Can clearly see the tattoo while he opens the door.
and I seem to have killed my computer by rewinding this bit a few times. Obviously it isnt an Angel fan.
quibble- so many suitcases for a girl who only had two outfits in the not even a closet in the first episode. But I guess the first thing she would do would be get clothes. And suitcases to put them in?
But, funny, Angel just out of his element. And Cordy totally treating him like a servant instead of her boss. The whole Angel=boss vibe is just totally absent here, laughably so. Angel=resource. Last resort resource, but not someone she treats like he has power over her, the other way round.
Angel all wet. first he's soft and now he is all wet. hmmm.
also, vampires take showers
and Angel is just clutching those bags and then when he has to put them down grabbing hold of the towel- just not eager to be naked.
Naked=vulnerable and without deceit? Letting Cordy in to his personal private space. Letting her see him. But way, way, way not comfortable with it. Also, Cordy apparently not even noticing. And then taking over and trying to change things. Which actually fits their future relationship pretty well.
Next morning, Doyle still in the same clothes, little square watch and nasty bruise.
Cordelia in big white towelling robe trying to see her reflection in the shiny pot cause vampires arent big on mirrors.
Angel walking in wearing red robes. Passion colors, no wonder Doyle jumped to conclusions. Angel dresses all shiny and silky. Red and black.
Has a dangly chain on, with something dangling from it, and yet I cannot see it clear enough to guess what. Just a long dangly chain. Chained up Angel. Restrained.
the nonsensical peanut butter that clearly isnt Cordelia's fault
Doyle: “Man, you know I was crazy about her, and I was wearing her down, too. But no, handsome, brooding vampire guy has to swoop in, all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead (Angel feels his forehead with a frown) How about leaving some scraps for the homely looking fellas who don’t turn evil when they get some?”
okay, that bit is perfect on so many levels
Angel worries about his forehead, but can only feel it because lacking mirrors
Angel worries about what Doyle thinks of his forehead
Doyle noticed the handsome and the sensitive mouth
and the 'don't turn evil when they get some?'
just layers and layers of funny
also, homely looking? TV sure has some differnt standards.
And then Doyle backing up in the face of new data, and Angel's look at him. funny still.
plus the ongoing misunderstandings thing.
Cordelia comes back from the bedroom wearing red and black. Kind of pink, but basically red. Cordy matches Angel who matches the bed cushions. That are all red-passion-love colors. Also blood colors and death colors.
Doyle is still green and brown so not matching and kind of opposite.
Angel: “I don’t eat.’
Cordy: “Well then, I don’t even want to know how it got there.”
Doyle asking if Cordy gave out his address.
Cordelia's naivete and incompetence put Doyle in danger but he doesnt call her on it because that would involve explaining. many kinds of dumb.
wet towel on his leather chair
Angel has leather chairs and cares about this fact
Cordelia has way messy habits
and her whole defense is big Cordy smile. the cute kid defense.
Cordy hair, once dried, is put back a bit. Still mostly loose but with more attention paid to it than some previous eps.
Left wrist under a selection of mostly black bits and something round her neck.
And taking off layers to see what underneath, then finding out its nothing pretty and wanting to stick the layers on again. hmmm. Angel life?
Cordelia's trophy shelf. She has only just moved in to her *boss's* house, and she sets up her trophy shelf. She really does treat him like one of the gang, like school people or something. No deference at all. Just claiming his space.
well, yes, she was just taking the flooring up. but also.
Cordy's special bits include three trophies, one of them an angel. two gold and one silver. one cheerleadery?
also you see the corner of the school certificate, slightly fried, and bits of a crown and scepter. Cordy ruled the school.
all next to a tub that says Chock.
change angles and the thing I thought was a scepter has dissapeared, but the crown is clearly visible. Pretty.
And theres yet another Angel on the left. Both winged figures are on red bases.
"It was a rough ceremony"
Cordelia has been through a lot already. Here she is acting the spoiled princess with all these popularity awards, but that 'rough ceremony' reminds us she has hidden steel too.
"Five trophies with some of the shiny worn off.”
vaguely wondering what the five things were in particular
Angel dressed, solid black, with the cuffs undone I think, certainly falling over his hands so theres hardly anything showing but black. Scary but sloppy.
dramatic chase music!
sneaky Angel in front of some swinging doors I dont think we've seen before. Not in the office.
Unlit lamp above railings. Pointy bits a bit like gothic arches. mostly blue. Churchy and yet not. Apparently the opposite side of the office from the desk with the computer and the blue lamp. And the big window, and the bit that looks like a bricked up window. Its a very odd space, like its half changed from being something else.
Angel's shirt has vertical shiny stripes. Could be a lighter color or just catching the light. Black on black really isnt that simple when you look hard.
