Favorite moments in TNPLPG:
*Cordy's screaming (damn, that never gets tired)
*the Gunn and Wesley Show:
Gunn: "I've got a plan." Wesley: "Oh thank god! What is it?" Gunn: "We die horribly and painfully, *you* go to hell and I spend eternity in the arms of baby Jesus."
And
Wesley: "Why are people always putting me in charge of these things?" Gunn: "I have no idea."
Bwah!
*All the Fred speak, and her experiment with an enchilada made out of tree bark. "there's work to be done." Hee.
*Angel leaving Fred's cave and then having to come back and ask for directions
*"What is it with you guys and mutilation?" "We don't get a lot of entertainment, ma'am" hee
*The shot of the basket dissolving into a shot of the moon. Not sure it means anything, but it was pretty.
*Lorne singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"
*Gunn as the token Black man explaining Reconstruction
*Gunn suggesting that portal jumping should be a ride in Disneyland.
Incidentally, they make reference to Angel snoring, which shouldn't happen since doesn't breath when he's asleep. And they allude to it in "Angel" (the episode) and Birthday as well. So I don't know what that's about, but *gah*.

OK - my memorable funny or fun bits from this ep that I didn't have time to cut and paste in this morning . . . * Cordy and Lorne’s head. Too too too funny! (Especially after Joss scared the bejebus out of us by the cliffhanger at the end of the last ep! ) The screaming; “It's not like I have hands to cover my ears here, you know!”; spitting; “a traitor planter”. * The continuing Gunn and Wes show. Gunn: I have a plan. Wes: Oh, thank God! What is it? Gunn: We die horribly and painfully, you go to hell, and I spend eternity in the arms of baby Jesus. And later - Wes: Why do people keep putting me in charge? Gunn: I have no idea! * “I’ve been trying to make an enchilada out of tree bark.” ‘Nuff said? * “What is it with you people and mutilation?” “We don’t have a lot of . . . .entertainment.” Hee! Took me right back to Willow and Oz in the van. * The sweet and tender good bye scene between Angel who must noble go and help his friends and the wounded and scared Fred – and then it all drops away and Angel’s all “Um, how do I find the place” and Fred’s all “Oh, I’ll show you”. Heeee! Actually, that one kind of reminded me of The Zeppo. * Lorne’s head in the basket, talking back to them and they all do the girly scream and run away except Fred. (Plus, the super nice segue shot from the open top of Lorne’ head basket to the full moon – pretty!!) [Ok, side commentary, ‘cuz it’s not a “funny” scene, but the moments with Wes and Gunn talking about the real consequences of the fight to come, etc.? Stunning! You can see that Gunn really thinks Wes didn’t know that folks would die, that he thinks it’s just poor planning to split the group (or just not planning it the way Gunn would), and then realizing Wes knows perfectly well, but he’s doing what he believes must be done for the larger goal. My favorite, though, is when Wes makes the lovely speech to Angel about how he’s a man with a demon inside him but he will overcome it and he’s so . . . steadfast a friend and all. And then he and Gunn walk away and Gunn is like “you really think he’ll come back” and Wes doesn’t even look at him as he says “I need him to think it” and walks away. Damn! You can see so much here. The path that Wes will take in seasons 3 and 4 and 5, the way that this makes Gunn reevaluate his thinking about Wes, and he’s not sure he’s totally happy with it. Wow!) Ahem. Ok, back to the funny. * Love the end of the fight, with Cordy being all “I love him” and Angel’s “me?” “Not you, dumn ass!” and then the Angel babbling that follows. I always giggle when they do Dorky!Angel, ‘cuz DB does it so well. Dorky!Angel, scary!Angelus, he’s got all the moves.

Hi all!
Hee! Eetah with everyone's favorites!
OK, I didn't see a couple of my *favorite* Lorne's Head bits:
Lorne peeks when Cordy tells her servant to take off her clothes.
Cordy: Do you mind if I hit him on the head with you? Lorne: Yes!!
Regarding Groo: Hmm. Feels like someone's been working out. ;D
There seems to be an ongoing theme of head and heart running throughout the series. So, what does it mean that Lorne stays alive even with his head severed? That he's Mr. Feelings?
Hee! about Lorne's disappointment in everyone's lack of tributary words when they believe he's dead.
Oh, and nice little throwaway character illustration: Fred hides behind Angel when confronted with strangers and Angel hides behind Fred when confronted with talky severed heads.
And Lola, especial Eetah! regarding the serious Wes arc-age. And Gunn's reaction to Wes. I think it also serves as and illustration of what each of them values: Gunn sees the people and their fight as the important thing. Wes sees the victory as the most important. Sometimes I suspect that figuring out which view is right depends on the outcome.
So: Here we have a partially suicidal charge to fight the entrenched rulers of the world. It was made good *only* because Cordy got in touch with her inner darkness to slice off Silas' head before he could kill every human in the land. (I'm tired of hearing you yak, Padre.) Foreshadowing? Recycling? Would Season Six have been the "Reconstruction" period of the Angelverse?
Have I ever mentioned that I really3 want a Season Six?
Linda, it's been fun revisiting AtS, since I've re-watched BtVS *many* more times.

Linda, it's been fun revisiting AtS, since I've re-watched BtVS *many* more times. With you on the favorite Lorne "head" moments. ;D I never thought about it like that - the Plrtz Glrb stuff as the "light" version of season 5 finale. Huh - season 6 is reconstruction. You know, from some of the hints Joss has given, you might not be that far off. Also eetah on how much fun it's been re-watching Angel. I mean, between having it on tape and watching on FX all the time and then getting DVD's, I've watched all the BtVS eps so many times! But I haven't repeat watched Angel as much. Much cool and fun and intriguing stuff to rediscover.
