What time it it?
It’s time get out the punch bowl and party trays! It’s time to make some banners and hang up the disco ball! It’s time to dance and mingle and start a brawl!
That’s right, it’s time for week 6 of the 2007 Sizzlin’ Episode Festival!
The fifth most popular Angel episode for the year is . . .
Life of the Party
I'm pretty sure that Henry Fonda's dead, sweetie. Yeah. Bring him back to life? Let me talk to my science people. (aside to his assistant) Directors.
Don't, don't leave me this way I can't exist . . .
You know, Angel, I— I don't have superhuman strength, and I'm not a fighter. Quantum physics makes me nauseous, and I barely made a passing grade at mystical studies, but I'm on your team. This is something I can do. I believe it has a purpose that can help you, even if you don't.
I want you to stake out your territory . . . You should be 3 sheets to the wind already . . . Spike, would it kill you to be a little more positive . . . Get a room . . .
Something is definitely wrong with this picture.
The effects of long-term sleeplessness on the subconscious mind of an empath can be catastrophic.
Wow, I must really hate myself. Prepare to party! Get out your DVDs or tapes and brush off the old memory cells. Haven’t got them handy by? Well, Transcript for Life of the Party Dialogue from Life of the Party
And don’t forget the wonderful writing housed here at the Soulful Spike Society!
Nan’s analysis of Life of the Party lives here; go here to comment on Nan’s thoughts. Spring’s analysis of Life of the Party lives here; with the discussion thread here. Lorne: It's hard being the host of the party. Angel: Stop trying to be.

So much funny in this episode. And some good serious moments too, particularly for Lorne. Eve's "the door was open... unlocked... I had a key." Hee. and Angel's "oh, right I'll get my pants." ;D The demon dressed as a human. Hee. Angel watching hockey. "But my team is losing!" ;D Drunk on a 1/3 of a beer Fred and Wes are hysterical. Particularly the elevator moment. Not in the least because that's happened to me at least once. When I was completely sober. "Come on, come on." "Did you push the button?" "Oh! [pushed button] Come on, come on." Angel and Eve realizing that the other doesn't have a last name. Spike grooving to the music. That some one had their ennui removed.

Hee. and Angel's "oh, right I'll get my pants." ;D The demon dressed as a human. Hee. Angel watching hockey. "But my team is losing!" ;D I love how he tries to pretend at first that he's brooding. ;D Upbeat, people-person Spike is one of the funniest things they could have come up, evah. Plus, we get that great moment at the end where he's all "yay" about Gunn pissing in "the big man's chair" and they think he's still affected. ;D **nods** And it's so excellent how they have everyone take the whole idea in stride. Sleep removed, oh sure! Ennui? Certainly. I can see why she'd want that out. Makes me want to know what else was in all the cannisters in that room . . .
