Can? Open! Worms? Everywhere!
That’s right, it’s time for week 7 of the 2007 Sizzlin’ Episode Festival!
The fourth most requested Angel ep for 2007 is . . .
Epiphany
You can not tell me that wasn't perfect. Not only have I been around for four hundred years, but I used to do this professionally. And that was perfect.
There is nothing I can do for you now, Darla. I can't even hate you.
I guess I kinda worked it out. If there is no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
I'm sorry Lindsey. I really am. I'm sorry she'll never love you.
Angel: So, ah, I see you guys have bonded. Gunn: Happens when you fight shoulder to shoulder. Wesley: Or rather hip to shoulder these days.
Listen, I've been impregnated by demon spawn before. Let's just say, didn't really work out.
Angel: Hi. You okay? Cordelia: No. [/size] Need help remembering all the fabulousness, but don’t have tapes or DVDs handy? Read more about it, instead. Transcript for Epiphany Dialogue from Epiphany The point is, you've turned a corner. Well, yay you. Zuzu's petals. It's about time. [/b]

"I guess I kinda worked it out. If there is no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do." That was such a beautiful moment, but it's fleeting, and Angel has such a hard time trying to hold onto that idea.
"It's sounds like you had an epiphany." "I keep saying that. But nobody's listening." Hee! And my guess is that somebody's listening. Somebody like Jasmine. Hmm...
I love the idea of the miracle that allowed Angel to enter Kate's apartment without an invite.
Heh. Seems like all I have to say is about the final scene. I guess the rest of the episode is good, but the Angel-Kate scene at the end is just wonderful.

That was such a beautiful moment, but it's fleeting, and Angel has such a hard time trying to hold onto that idea. **nods** Even though the gang are fighting supernatural baddies and all, what he's saying and what he struggles with are so real, to me. It's the ultimate description of the difficulties in trying to make make things better, make the world a better place, etc. So many problems are so huge and seem so insurmountable, how can you as an individual do anything about them? And yet, you also can't use that reasoning to do nothing, because what is change if not individual people each changing? And so all that matters is "what you do", you individually. And yet, can you ignore large scale efforts? Can you only ever do each tiny action on your own and never take on the W&H's of the world, never try to "slay the dragon"? Ah, grapple, grapple, grapple! We're all like Angel and the gang. Trying and failing, trying and succeeding, trying and . . . . lather, rinse, repeat. Hmmmmmmm indeed. Good one! **nods**
