Good analogy, Kerrie! I am glad you liked it, Anne. I was beginning to think my analogy luck had finally run out. I will wait and see what Spring and Patti think of the aptness of the analogy.

Kerrie, I fear I am late with this greeting (though in plenty of time over here...) but - Happy Birthday dear Kerrie, our Australian S'cubie! Though you've added a year, you're still young as a newbie! I'm lifting my glass to our S'cubie Down Under, Here's wishing you joy and a life filled with wonder! Thanks for the poem, Patti. Thanks also to Karalee, Anne, LadyDi, Sandy, Lee, Alice, Becky, MissBuffy, and Rae for your birthday wishes from the last part or in IMs. I have not had my Spike cake yet. I am still working on it because it is for Saturday night when I will have some of my friends around. Hopefully, it will work out and I will take a photo and try and post it. Don't hold your breath. Lots can go wrong and I am not a great cake decorator - it is something I like doing, not something I am good at. (Who could not like sculpting Spike's body? Or even doing the planning of the various possible poses? As an aside I am not sure my husband is too impressed with the details. ;D)

Sure, right . . . then those links you sent me were bad links and will be sending me straight to hell ;D
And it's all your fault now that my halo is so tarnished ;D

Hope your day is/was happy. Perhaps Spike, the bed crawler, from Nan's avatar might be the easiest to do. Then you'd only have to do his rippling back muscles and just a side of his face.

After the Evil World Domination checklist, somehow I think some folk are gonna want to take the Evil Genius test.
It's at: www.fuali.com/default.aspx?id=111
Other tests are available along the left-hand margin. [/color]

Have you noticed how late night posting parties have somehow become daytime posting parties? Did I miss some posts---are Dave and James on vacation?
Lee's gonna visit me. We'll talk wedding plans! Nashville has a wedding chapel near the Grand Old Opry worthy of Las Vegas!

But given the opportunity, and a darn good reason I may turn to the good side. Besides I am probably a miserable evil genius. Yep, pretty darn close. That "kicking a hurt animal" - nope, couldn't do it.

I don't really know how I got to be a 63% Evil Genius, unless it's connected to the lawyer in me. Oops. Never mind.

The world's oldest living woman turned 116 today. 116!! Talk about seeing changes during one's lifetime..... In the past four centuries, technology has moved faster and faster. When my father was born, penicillin didn't exist, not to mention television. He survived the influenza epidemic of 1918 as did his family. He listened, spellbound, on the radio, for news of the dogsled relay to carry the serum to Nome in (I think) 1925. He attended lectures by Marie Curie in Paris, and later worked on an early version of a computer at the university of Pennsylvania. He used a slide-rule when he went to school. During his lifespan, the concept of rockets exploring space moved from science fiction to fact and practice, televisions were invented and became commonplace, racial prejudices diminished (in this country), cancer became far more curable than it used to be and a new illness, AIDS, came sadly into public prominence. Computers were invented and revolutionized information storage and then moved into homes and schoolrooms. The nuclear bomb was invented and thankfully only used twice on human habitation. Women moved from the kitchen into the workplace. Telephones shrank into handheld units barely larger than playing cards. Communism as a system of national government came into being in many countries, then faded, while most of the old monarchies were displaced.
That and more, much more, happened in 90 years. Compare that with the 11th, 12th, 13th centuries; or the 400's-600's. Or most other centuries between 100-1700.
We are lucky to live now. Think of that every time you wonder if technology is moving too fast. Though I do regret the decline of certain old-fashioned values, like the concept of honor...[shadow=red,left,300]GAIL [/shadow]

He's good. We're good. We had another date last night and it's still really....great. We talked every day while I was on vacation so we're just.....well, we're just whatever we are. We'll see where it takes us and so far, it's been a great ride. Thanks for asking, Sandy. I haven't said anything lately because I didn't want to bore anyone. I figure I'll just bore y'all with my posts about sleeping patterns instead. ;D I don't suppose those two subjects could be in some way combined? ....
