With women you shared close living quarters with or just hung around with or what? The former. Most of the dorms were actually houses, so the living situation was actually closer to being like a sorority than life in a typical dorm. Our "house" was actually three buildings holding about 80 women total--20 in one, 50 in the second, 10 in the third. And we all ate our meals in the same place, at approximately the same time. So we tended to hang out together quite a bit as it was. Anyway, those of us living in the same house definitely got synched up--I'm trying to remember if the synching happened across the houses as well.

For future protection - I don't know if this would work, but when Emily was a baby, I bought some clear soft plastic corner-bumpers for the inlaws' coffee table. Could you sneak a set of those onto the cabinet when no one's looking? Would work so long as the cabinet would still close. Hmm.

Like how I seem to spend one-quarter of my posting time in a month with my foot shoved into my mouth, what with you and Shanno having the tag-team type action going? *drops arms, leaving self undefended, in case Rachael is feeling particularly smiteous today* Oh darn. I forgot the cup...*tries to work up enough wrath to smite Matthew* Nah. My leg hurts. Maybe tomorrow. edit: Oh, and - I thought you liked the Shanno/Rachael tag team. . . .

Yeah. But, the rest of the time, they were surrounded by 20 pretty, intelligent women, most of whom were under 25. So, there were perks.

Put it on NBC now! I think they are gonna show it... or maybe just highlights from it..
I hate olympics coverage. a fifteen minute hard-fought match reduced to a minute of flimping highlights.

Squirrely howler monkeys. Or howling squirrel monkeys. ;D Sounds a lot like Andrew's last birthday party, actually. Guess who I ran into at the Lacey Library? The Biker's Daughter, of course. In her sweet and funny and pretty and delightful freckled Scotch/Irish/Alsatian/Tejano selfness. Such luck! Julia, with very little else to say until I finish my hour-late afternoon snack

Owie owie owie. Just gouged a chunk of my lower thigh out on the corner of the flammables cabinet. Really owie. Mere owieness does not suffice for that kind of traumatic collision with planet-adjacent objects. YEEOOOUCHJulia, also profanity works

Oh lord, I've been compared to Julia's pre-school-aged nephew. (In best Perer Lorre voice): heheh,, I was... intoxicated... He's going into first grade, and since he hangs out with people between 10 and 46 years older than him most of the time, HE's fine... his friend Thomas, though, not so much. Julia, not much of a grownup at the best of times, myself
