Well, life without risk may be safe and easy, but it sure is boring! Taking a risk and winning is exciting. Ok, losing isn't much fun, but you can't know how it feels to win without knowing what it is like to lose. Ok. I'm done. ;D Thought this was an inbteresting qoute its from The Sure Thing "Life's the ultimate experience" I thought that was quite simple and I think it fits --- sorta in a way ?

"In the game of love getting risk of getting hurt has to be there otherwise is it really worth it ?" It is the risk that makes it something to strive for. If one lives one's life in fear of hurt, failure, etc. one does not live at all. A smooth relationship, with no risk of anything at all, I think, also poses no risk that passion will play a part in it. One can be content, but what about happy? With happiness comes the risk of despair, but without that, how can we appreciate happiness? The same with good and evil. Without evil how can we appreciate good? Just rambling here, but your thoughts intrigued me. I'ts okay I actually think you probabley completed them --- I did alot of thinking and wrote it down and I still do not think it came out right and I think I was paraphrasing what the first slayer told buffy in Intervention ---- of course she forgot everything she said and only remember the death is your gift part ---now I'm rambling --- have anymore thoughts/ Oh and i really wanted to get those thoughts out into the universe ( i dont think i have ever intriged anybody bfore

On one of the discussion threads here , here somewhere some wrote that Spike persued Buffy -- I geuss that hinted it was a one sided thing . Well I don't agree with that I think they both persued each other .
Though Spike was very up front and open with it uhhh....
Well Buffy persued Spike on a unconsciuos level , Riley certainley saw that otherwise why would he even worry about Spike --- her freinds certain ssaw it too ,they did'nt want him near her
It was kind of a school yard thing --- torture the boy (vampire in this case) just a little more than the rest, I am of course guilty of doing the same thing back on the playground.
Come on in she even said that he would only have a shot with her if she was unconscious thought that was interesting and that flomoxed talk in potential oh boy!
brain fart over

I think its unfair that it is not mentioned enough at least from what I see.
Xanders animal insticts were taking over and he was aware of his actions even though buffy and him really do not seem to talk about. or do they later on? another season perhaps ---
just had to get that out there and they are very similar

Moderator's note: Rather than have fredspuffed lose the credit for bringing this article to us, I thought I'd just rename her thread and make it the place for all things JM. If it's about the incomparable James Marsters, then this is the place to post it.Many of you are eager to know James’ next project and have e-mailed with lots of supportive suggestions – thank you. James has been very busy with meetings and auditions and reading material, that I am sure will lead to his next project shortly. I know that a lot of you are anxiously following the Dresden book “Storm Front” which is in development with Lions Gate for Sci-Fi channel as a movie of the week. We are following it closely and as of now there is no casting yet. I understand that they are still in the development stages of working out the story for the small screen. James will be recording the next Dresden book on tape “Grave Peril” in late September. As soon as we have a release date, we will share it with you. He is also taking advantage of this much needed downtime in anticipation of revving back up again – getting in lots of rest and exercise and family time. We will do our best to give you, the fans, the most up to date information as soon as we can. Thank you for all the support. Buffy should go out with Batman/bruce wayne . I like Batman maybe its the black costume and the bat thing(i'm weird). He's a regular guy and quite a bit older and he into that moody and broody(shes probabley grown past that we need someone snarky) stuff buffy likes-hes worldly ( upon further thought perhaps hes more suited for angel, they seem to have alot in common) but than agian he's kinda like riley would not work. maybe she could go out with spiderman/peter parker mmmm superman I know jay (from Jay and silent bob) and if she tires of his antics she could always go out with bob...... but why settle for hamburger when you could have steak =spike Angel was Buffy's "Batman" - you know, with the Angel-mobile, and dark broody hero thing. So she's been there, done that. I can't think of a superhero I would pair Buffy with. Let's see - Aquaman? Too fishy? The Green Hornet maybe?
Quoted from SpringSummers ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Maybe Scott Summer/Cyclops from X-men. He reminded me of Riley. He's a boy scout, they have the same last name so she wouldn't have to change her name if he married him. He has powers and fights evil. Logan/Wolverine from X-men. He's older, we don't know how long, however. He's a little Spike, with his witty ways and attitude. Has powers and fights evil and is a mighty good treat. Bobby Drake/Ice Man from X-men. He is loyal, and cute like a puppy dog. Fights evil and has icey/snow powers. Indian Jones, he's an avenger, don't take cr**. He's an older guy and we know Buffy likes older guys. But he's a little like Giles. It would kind of dating Giles which is creepy. But on the up side he has all that experience. Van Helsing, fights evil monsters like her. He's a little hottie. Yes, your right she's been out with her version of Batman/Angel, broody/dark/bloady coat/cape man. Wolverine is the closest she could come to Spike. But after much thought you could not find anyone as good as she Spike. He's just the good.

Qouted from Lissa :Xander is the only other guy, besides Angel, who doesn't give me the feeling of being a second choice. I also don't like the whole Immortal/Mr Sue thing. It's totally wrong. Spike was the fantasy guy afterall So, overall I don't mind Xander with Buffy. But, the biggest problem with B/X is of course: no B/S
Buffy should go out with Batman/bruce wayne . I agree with everyone of you . I totally see were everyone is coming from. I felt alot of the time I was getting crumbs, and it bothered me. I wanted more ( no well I don't see s6 as going backwards , alot of denile going --- and come on Buffy supposed to be full of love ---I think she was so full she was numb , I know a little bit about this being a raw nerve sensitive person I am ---I honestly have lost were I'm going from here) Ah well any way after the series ended I was conflicted I wanted to stop feeling guilty about liking spike/buffy together---- this site and board does that in spades .... thanks sorry for the ramble I'm a runon sentence, so sue

I don't agree with you here, Spring. The Buffy that I see at the end of Chosen could have ended up with Spike, had he lived. I have no doubt in my mind. If there had been a season 8, the love that they had for each other would have continued to grow. I truly believe that. Probably just wishful thinking, but it's how I feel. At the end of AtS, Spike was more his own person, I agree. And I was happy to see that. Not everything was all about Buffy any more. We see lots of character development for Spike in AtS. But I still believe that, in time, Spike and Buffy could have found each other again. His feelings for her hadn't changed. You could see that in TGIQ. Much as I disliked that episode when I first watched it, the look on Spike's face when Andrew said that Buffy loved them both, said it all to me. I will go down with this 'ship. ;D i so feel that too --- but at this point i wouold lonve to see a movie w/ jm and smg w/ a happy ending but that is crazy thinking -never happen n fact forget i said that

Well said, Linda. I'm in total agreement with you here. This is an interesting discussion you've all got going. I can never understand how Angel seems to be forgiven for his unsouled crimes, but Spike is not. It's something that angers me immensely. The AR is brought up time and time again (in fandom, not just the show), but Angel's murder of JC and torture of Giles is not. They were both soulless when these crimes were committed. The difference is, Spike had changed enough to stop his soulless demon from raping Buffy, Angel(us) hadn't. Angel(us) relished the kill and still does when he is set free from the soul. Spike began his redemption long before he got his soul. It still surprises me that so many people refuse to see that. I know time and time again i see the seperation thingy but he** there all the same person -- angel has to come to terms w/ that i suppose its his ahum lack of soul that messes w/everyone (ikinda think he had a little in there) --who wouldnt i was peeved at buffy alot -- how she showered Angel with the lovens and Spike well --- i know he had to get her to open up again --

Okay, okay -- I've been thinkinking about that scene the bronze where Spike touches Buff's wound and they both ahhhh scream Ummm(clearing my throut ) I uhh to me or for a tjhe lack of a better word or perhaps because it is the only word that comes to mind find this encounter orgasmic I find myself amused and aroused ;D at the same time. The expressions on the bystanders face is golden I find it akin to that infamous scene from When Harry Met Sally Am I alone in this? Is this feeling wrong ? . Does this puppy need to go to the vet? I've read the analyes so many times I enjoy it to no end !
