I have corrected the link for Rob's story. There was a minor typo in the file name. I had uploaded all the files at the same time and being the lazy bastard that I am, didn't bother checking all the links. I only checked two..I mean, for pete's sake, I have posted like nearly a hundred of Rob's chapters...how could I possibly goof THAT up? Anyway, Rob Sorenson's Trust, Chapter 28 is now posted in the Fanfictional area (Top Shelf-Chronicles of Truth) on the S'cubie website. My apologies Roberto. However, at least from the public outcry, you can see folk actually want to read your stuff. Vlad, TA, tp

Okay, my little chickadees...welcome to ... SMUTDAY!You know what that means, right? No, not the inuendo, the pawing, the groping, the lascivous lewd limmericks.. okay, yes all that. But theres more. "More?" as a eyes glinting, greedy, lusty Anya would say. Yes, my dears, there's more. Let's get right to it, shall we? The clocks a tickin... First up we have... Yes, Erin has penned another great analysis of Angel...the early years. This time she takes on the first Cordelia-centered piece, RM W/A VU. Marvel as she shows the delicate weaving of characters. Be impressed as she illuminates where these characters will grow. Be dumbfounded as she portrays Doyle as more than a young, horny Irish half demon. Most of all enjoy as she allows us a fresh look once more at a story we have loved many times over. Erin's RM W/A VU: The Ghost in You may be found in the Angelphile area of the S'cubie website. Next up, for a little change of pace, is... But not jsut any ol' piece of fanfiction...no, we are talking a Yes, indeed. Rob is off (along with Nan) to that Fanfiction Writers conferance in Vegas, but he took time out of his packing to make sure that we were all provided with another chapter of his terrific tale, Trust. Trust, the fourth book of his Chronicles of Truth series, is winding up to a spellbinding conclusion. Too complex a tale to relate here, I can only urge you to go read Rob's stories if you haven't yet been introduced. Each is like having your very own new episode of BtVS being written just for you. Over these four stories, he has been taking the characters ever further along, allowing htem to grow and develop. And, tho' he veers from 7th season canon in many ways, his characters and the plots they are enveloped in ring so very true to the series...somewhat more so, often, than the series did itself at the end. Rob Sorenson's Chronicles of Truth, Trust Chapter 29 can be found in the Fanfictional area (top shelf) of the S'cubie website. And finally, for your SMUTDAY enjoyment I present you with... Are you watching (or re-watching) Firefly? You should. See, not only is it a fun show, perhaps, had it been given time, Joss's finest show for television ever. But, even ignoring that, most importantly, if you aren't rewatching Firefly with us at the S3, you are missing out on Sara's wonderful reviews. She has terrific character insights. She understands plot complexities and states them in such a way that us plain folk can enjoy them. And most of all... she's a fun writer writing about a fun show. 'Cause, that's really why we are all here in the 'Verse (Buffyverse, Angelverse, Jossverse)...to have some funnin' about before we kick it. Now is a great time to join in as any. This time Sara is covering Shindig, a fairly upbeat and fun episode that does well to exemplify all the characters and deepen a few mysteries that clutter the backdrop of this series. But 'nuff about me talkin about this here show...let the master tend to her craft. Go take a gander at sweet Sara's summation of Shindig: Let's Get This Party Started which can be found in the in the Firefly area of hte S'cubie website. And you all be sure to tip yur hats to this lady! She deserves yur respect and yur thanks. And that, my dear S'cubies pretty well covers the new stuff for this SMUTDAY. As always, be sure you drop by the respective discussion threads to converse about the episodes, the writing, or to jsut compliment the authors. They appreciate it and you might jsut find yourself in the middle of some interesting thoughts being bandied about. So, with that... let the wackiness ensue! Vlad, TA, tp

Oh, we have your BtVS for ya...and a whole heap of Firefly too! Brand NEW! BtVS coming your way...in the form of The S'CUBIE Round Robin I. Yeppers, those wacky kids are up to it again, and this time Lola is doing the honors. Spike and Angel...Mmmmm! Find out what shenanigans those two crazy vampires can get into when shackled and held by a whole passel of young, hormonal Slayers. The S'CUBIE Round Robin I - Chapter 2: There Could Be Oil of Some Kind Involved by Lola may be found in the Round Robin area of the S'cubie website. Well, looky-looky who decided to show up 'round these here parts again! It's Mal and the gang! This time they are lookin' to unload some cattle, make a few bucks, and get the heck outta Dodge...err..well off the planet. 'Course, ya knows it just ain't gonna go shiny. Sara tackles Safe in her Firefly review this week. If you aren't re-watching along with us and you aren't reading her splendid reviews, you are truly missing out on some fine entertainment. <attention, what follows is opinion....>It was possibly Whedon's finest show, best cast, <end opinion segment...> and truly, the only moving pictures Whedonverse we have left coming to us in a somewhat concrete and timely manner. (Serenity: The Movie) So jump on in. Don't be afraid to get your boots dirty: Check out the Firefly thread for sites on which to download an episode...and if you like it, the entire series can be purchased in breathtaking widescreen, full color, crystal clear DVD format for a mere pittance.! Sara's review of Firefly: SAFE: When No Place is Like Home may be found in the Firefly area on the S'cubie website. *** ** *** ** *** ** *** ** *** ** *** Well, that's pretty much my "What's NEW" announcement. As always, PLEASE be sure to drop by the appropriate discussion thread and comment and compliment the authors. They aren't doin' this for cash, ladies and gentlemen; they are doing it for your feedback, aknowledgement, and probably because they have either insomnia or a therapist instructed them. *wink* And we have more great stuff coming your way this week...stay tuned! It's SMUTDAY! Yes, Wednesday is upon us again... but never you fear! I have a couple of things to help take your mind off the forthcoming innuendo, the ribald and raucous reparte. First off, we have ... This time Erin covers Sense and Sensitivity. It's a really complex episode, all about emotions and humanity and stuff and I think you will all enjoy her insights into it. She even offers parenting tips. Seriously, go forth and read Erin's wonderful review of Sense and Sensitivity: Feelings, Whoa Whoa Whoa Feelings located in Angelphile on the S'cubie website. Next up, for your cerebral portion of Humpday, is... Yep, it's here...the long awaited next chapter in this summer's greatest 4 person Round Robin... the Round Robin II - Chapter 6: What Goes Around... by Vlad.Oh, it's a terrific must read chapter! If you have read no other chapter in this RR, then, well you can just start here. Tense, thrilling, funny, romantic... its like a July 4th summer blockbuster. What can I say about it? The pacing is superb, the characters are so in tune, the plot twists are simply masterful... *glances down* Oh...crap... that's Rob's chapter, number 8. Okay, we are on my chapter...number 6... hmmm...yeah... you probably oughta go read it jsut so you stay up with the story. It's not too bad... the spelling is good, the grammar mostly grammatical. And there's that one cute line in there... it might make you chuckle. ;D Round Robin II - Chapter 6: What Goes Around... by Vlad. can be found in the Round Robin area on the S'cubie Website. And, well that's it for today, my dear friends. I hope it makes the day go by that much easier. Remember, drop by the appropriate discussion threads for the above works and let the authors know what you thought. Really, that's at least half the fun! Take care, be safe, and most of all...have fun! Life's short, don't waste it. There's not a single person in this world that will remember as a highpoint the day they spent working too hard. Call a friend you haven't seen in ages. Make that dish you haven't had in forever 'cause it's got too many calories. Take a walk thru a park and actually look around you. Say "Hi, how are you?" to a stranger in line and mean it. Have fun. Love and be loved. After all, it's Smutday. Vlad, TA, tp

I created a new thread I'd like everyone to post in ONE time (Briefly.).
The thread is called 'HOW DID I GET HERE?' - and there are three questions to answer.
If all S'cubies, from N'ubie to Master will respond in that thread, it will be a help to the staff in planning for the future. Thanks!

Attention all Chicago and Chicago-adjacent S’cubies!! The unofficial, mini-version, lowercase s’cubiefest 1 and a half – (otherwise known as Lola is coming to Chicago for a visit ;D ) is on! Dates: September 16th through the 21st (arriving on the train afternoon of the 16th, leaving on the train afternoon of the 21st). Events: Hey, I’m up for the whole gamut, at whatever amount of time folks are available – from meeting various folks for a simple lunch, to spending whole days doing fun stuff, to watching Jossian vids or DVDs in my (soon to be reserved) hotel room / suite, to dinner or jazz clubs, etc. etc. Who: Anyone who can make it to Chicago during the above dates. My friend David will probably be traveling with me for at least part of the time, but he has been warned of possible s’cubie-related activities! IM me if you think you want to meet up and we can exchange info and so on. I’ll post this on the bulletin board, too, for those who don’t hit the chatty threads that much. Lola

Angelphile is!
Join Erin as she salutes one of ANGEL's most important episodes: Hero. No spoilers here, this is the one where an important member of the Fang Gang says goodbye. Joss Whedon early-on reminds us that no character is safe from evil, death and pain.
So peruse Erin's HERO: Run for the Shadows, Go Towards the Light in Angelphile on the S'cubie website.
And don't forget to swing by the Angelphile thread here on the message board to C3 (compliment, comment or criticize. ) It is always much appreciated.

For those of you who might have missed it in the latest Part, Rachael's father passed away. She will be away with family and friends for the next few days, but I imagine she could really use your hugs and condolences in some IM's when she returns.
We are all very sorry for your loss, Rachael.

Is anyone here on the board a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan? If so, are you the kind of fans who taped the episodes? If you answered yes to the first 2 questions, would you be willing to tape off a couple of episodes for me, if you have them in your possession?
IM me if you are that person. Or people.
Thanks.

Hi, Everyone Just a quick in and out (Where have we heard THAT before?) and then I'm back to work. Just wanted to let you know that there's this thing called Phauxcon that's happening in Philadelphia the week-end of October 1-3. It's being organized by xionxin and sadhbyl, who are fanfic writers. It's a fancon without the celebrities and the craziness of autographs and fangirls and photos. It's Angel and Buffy fans and fanfic writers and readers meeting to meet - and have fun. If you're interested, here's the link: www.livejournal.com/user/xionin. Once you're there, you can link to last year's webpage and get a better idea of what it's about. So - you Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic S'Cubies -- if you decide to go, let me know, ok? It's a great way to meet other Angelites and Buffistas without the craziness. Also: Survey 3 - pros and cons - is ready, and you can participate in the third survey. This one is about the friendships you made because of your interest and love of Buffy and Angel, and the cons you attend/don't attend. That's it! I'm off to work on the fandom project right now. Take care and {{S'Cubies}}

What's NEW! Angelphile is! Erin sends along her latest thoughts on Parting Gifts. After a tearful goodbye to Doyle, we see our "core" fang gang created. With some terrific insights, a dollop of hindsight, and an eye on where it's all going, let her enlighten you to the deeper depths of Wesley Wyndhamm Pryce, Rogue Demon Hunter. You can find Erin's Angelphile column, PARTING GIFTS: The Ugly Grey Blobby Hole in the World on the S'cubie website. Be sure to give it a read and then drop by the Angelphile message board thread and tell her (and everyone else) your thoughts. What's COMING? There are many things to look forward to in the coming season: First off, Spring Summers is planning to cover the second season of Tru Calling for us, episode by episode. I know that many of you are hooked on the show and I can't wait to see what her take will be on it. I am sure that she ill do a terrific job. She is hoping for a 24 hour turn around on reviews. Good luck Spring! Next up, it is my intention to review the new show on ABC, Lost. The premise sounds interesting, it is from JJ Abrams, creator of Alias and stars Dominic Monaghan (Merry from LOTR) and will feature, if not star, Daniel Dae Kim, Lilah’s adversary at Wolfram and Hart on Angel. Many reviewers have seen the pilot and it is getting VERY good buzz. It will be premeiring on Spet. 22 at 8pm on Wednesdays, sorta replacing the "Angel" slot we all made time for previously. Of course, the last show I did this with was Wonderfalls…and we saw where that got us. *sigh* I may be the curse to good television: Firefly, then Buffy, then Jake 2.0, then Wonderfalls then Angel. Who is next on my hit list? Any hoo… moving along… Also coming, around Christmas, will be the release of Wonderfalls on DVD. It is my intention to finish reviewing that wonderful series. I would like to do it Sara's “Firefly” style, with a regular viewing date each week and a review to accompany each episode. However, this time the majority of the series has never been seen by anyone. It will be like a totally new show! Then, as the TV season draws to an end in April, we have the major motion picture release of Serenity on the 22nd! Of course it is my goal to have complete and total coverage of what I am guessing is going to be a momentous film event! Reviews, of course, interviews and who knows what else. But it will be a Soulful Spike Society gala happening... a shindig...a hoot with plenty o' nanny! During the above time we will, of course, be hosting new Spikecentricity columns, new Angelphile columns, lots of new fanfiction (I hear Rob is dying to start penning a whole new story, away from the Chronicles of Truth setting.) with myself even entertaining a dabble into some Buffyverse fanfic…longform. (I told Patti of my basic plot setup and she was excited sooo..who knows.), our Round Robin II is still going strong, only hitting a bump due to a hurricane or three, and plenty more. And, it is my intention to begin hosting an all new Picture of the Week contest! Yep, I was saving the best for last. *wink* So all the above sounds like a really good coming year for us. Of course unexpected things will pop up: reviews from conventions, headline news events from nowhere, great ideas that we haven’t had yet, some surprises I am toying with … and we of course have room for it all. Vlad, TA, tp
