Not sure if this is appropriate use of the Bulletin Board or not (technopagans, IM me if it's not.)
But I am off work this week and am having Internet access problems. I live in a small University town and our students are piling back in and apparently the sudden influx is giving my Service Provider some hiccups.
So I just didn't want folks to worry and wonder. I am OK and am working on my next Spikecentricity analysis, etc. But I am lucky to be getting through to post this, so it may be the weekend of next week before I post again.
Take good care S'cubies!

Our delightful own Mary Muse is now proudly rubbing elbows with the other great Master S'cubies in the S3's Profile of a S'cubie area on the S'cubie website.! She submitted her profile a while ago, but ...well, you guys know how it is... she got "vladinized" *sheepish grin*
So be sure to check her out in the profiles. (She's got a picture and everything!)
Thank you, Mary, for submitting to the harsh questioning... I think I will take your suggestion and reduce the light to a 40 watt and buy a lampshade. Folks may have been getting the wrong impression alllll this time. Who knew? ;D

Hi,, Everyone
I hope you can help me with an Internet problem.
I used to have bookmarked a beautiful panorama picture-story of Spike and Buffy's story - starting with School Hard.
I switched ISP's recently, and lost the bookmark.
Anyone here have that URL? I recall it started with panorama, and was breathtaking. It took about 3 minutes to scan the entire beautiful picture.
If you've got it, just drop me a PM; I check S3 about once a week now, around this time.
thanks!
(I'm gonna post this elsewhere too, just to increase the likelihood of being read.)

What's NEW? Well let me tell you! Wow, do we have an updated Soulful Spike Society website for you folks today! Make's this technopagan proud to be a S'cubie. *Wipes the small tear from his eye* It's all jsut so ...good. *sniff* Err, umm...anyway.... First up... Spring Summers has an ALL NEW Spikecentricity, penned just for all of you! Checkpoint has all the major locations and locales you have come to expect from a tour into Spring's exploration of the Spikeverse. It's a non-stop romp, but be sure to slow down and partake of the scenery. Make sure you have your passports, cause you don't wanna miss this! Sping Summer's Checkpoint: You are leaving the American sector... only on the S'cubie website. Erin, goddess of the art macabre, has written a new Angelphile column. This time, she tackles that one with the funny name: Somnumblista...errr...somnamamwhamabulbist... *sqints, reads slowly...* Somnambulist. Yay me! A particularly powerful episode, handled with aplomb by both the writers and the reviewer. Be sure to check Erin's analysis, SOMNAMBULIST: Sins of the Fathers in the Angelphile area of hte S'cubie website. The S'cubie Round Robin hijinks continue with the rollicking good time story, Get Them the Hell Out of There!. This time, Vlad pinch-hits, writing Chapter 3. Deep Doo-doo has plenty of Spike/Angel goodness (not THAT kinda Spike/Angel...sheesh!) as we find out just what that odd couple have been up to and what the heck is going on. Thrills, chills, funnies, romance...it's like there's a season 6! No better even, cause this one doesn't stand a chance of getting canceled. Catch Vlad's chapter of the S'cubie Round Robin I: Chapter 3, Deep Doo-doo in the Round Robin area of the S'cubie website. and finally, far from least, I am pleased to announce that our lovely Technopagan Patti has gone to great lengths and effort to update the S'cubie Geographic Society maps. Be sure to check out the all new updated maps of the US, Canada, and the British Isles to find a master S'cubie near you. As always, not that I need to remind you or anything, but please be sure to drop by the appropriate threads on the message board and let these guys know what you think of their efforts. You see, they don't get paid, no special perks, nada... they are jsut doing it for the love of doing it and the occasional recognition. So be kind, please ummmm remind... them of their spectacularness. Vlad, TA, tp

So, hmmm, I like making announcements when no one is here. So, I'll take my inability to sleep as a chance to do this.... Vlad has kindly held off on saying anything so that I could make this announcement myself (for which I thank him): I have officially resigned my position as a S 3 Technopagan. I'm obviously still *here* and posting, just no longer opening new parts and handling tech issues. Over the summer I've slowly had to spend less and less time on the board due to work and personal happenings. This really isn't all that fair to the other technopagans as they never know when they can count on me to be around and when they can't. Plus, I just feel guilty a lot that I'm not here pulling my weight. Since things don't seem to be slowing down at work, I decided it was time to step down. As you've probably already noticed, Patti has taken over updating the map. (And doing a wonderful job at it! I certainly was sucking at that part of my job.) Anything else I did as a part of being a tech, has also been transferred over and, as a result, you may see some slight changes in things as we go. Ok, now I'm just babbling! As I said, I wanted to be the one to make this announcement mostly as I didn't want to suddenly not be a tech and have people question what happened. Now you know the very boring reason behind it all and you also know why, if I get a technopagan-related IM, I'll refer you to someone else. I suppose I could get all mushy and say how much I enjoyed being a technopagan here, how I'll miss it, and thank everyone for accepting me as such but, well, I ain't going no where! So, instead, I'll just say thanks. Thanks for listening, thanks for understanding, and - MOST OF ALL - thanks to Vlad and the other technopagans for all the work they do.

Hey, S'cubies
I just fell like so much gets swallowed up in the Main Thread I'm starting a thread to alert your fellow S'cubies to information regarding appearances by BtVS/AtS alumni in any medium.
So--if you come upon any information about talk show appearances, guest roles, new shows, motion pictures--please place it here.
Thanks, Sue

I've deleted my post about ICON (an Iowa City sf convention) because I won't be able to go. Didn't see any PM's so I don't think any s'cubies were planning on meeting me there. If you were, please let me know via PM, as I'm right now trying to sell my memberships. Thanks!!!

This is rather cool: Is Joss Whedon in Your Public Library? (PRWEB) September 22, 2004 -- Something is missing from this year"s Fall TV schedule: Joss Whedon. With the WB Network prematurely canceling "Angel" and the FOX Network mishandling "Firefly," it"s clear that fans will have to be more proactive in order to encourage the entertainment industry to give viewers more quality scripted programming. For fans of Joss Whedon, that means devising a plan to bring his shows to a wider audience and encourage the powers that be to bring more of his work to both the small and big screen. The plan is simple: fans will raise money to purchase and donate DVDs of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Firefly" to public libraries. Here's how to participate: - donate money to the project - donate directly to a public library and contact the project to keep a tally - fill out a request form at your local library for them to carry these materials - libraries can contact the project and request items To kick-off the Whedonverse Multimedia Project, organizers launched the "Hometown Libraries of the Stars" campaign. For this campaign, fans of the shows were given the opportunity to pay tribute to their favorite producer, writer, actor, etc., by nominating the library where the star grew up to receive an offer of DVD donations. The current nominees are: Joss Whedon (New York, NY), Julie Benz (Murrysville, PA), Adam Busch (East Meadow, NY), Jewel Staite (Vancouver, CAN), James Marsters (Modesto, CA) and Alyson Hannigan (Atlanta, GA). Another round of nominations will take place once the donations to these hometowns are fulfilled. Avid fans know that it only takes watching one episode of any of these shows to get hooked. The public library system provides an excellent means to reach out to potential viewers and welcome them into the Whedonverse. In addition, fans are aware that brisk DVD sales can increase the odds of a favorite show gaining new life. After all, it helped convince Universal Pictures to bring back "Firefly" as a new movie entitled "Serenity" set for release in April 2005. Okay boys and girls...anxious? I know I am. Why? What? Huh, Vlad? Anxious about what? 'Cause, my little pretties, today is THE day...the premeire of LOST! Don't forget to tune into ABC at 8/7 Central (or the first hour of network primetime if you live in strange and foreign lands. *grin*) But, until then, we have presents for you, to whet your appetite while you wait. First up: Yeppers! Rob has written another chapter of his fabulous tale, Trust. This one is full of high-octane action and those incredibley accurate Buffyverse voices that Rob apparently channels from Whedon while he is sleeping. Don't miss out on Rob Sorenson's Chronicles of Truth: Trust, Chapter 30 on the top shelf in Fanfictional... only on the Soulful Spike Society website. And if that weren't enough: Erin releases the latest in her analyses of ANGEL. This time up: Expecting. Yep, the one where Cordy gets pregnant. No, not that one... the other... no... the other one... yeah! The first time! Read her outstanding treatment of EXPECTING: In the Family Way in Angelphile area on the S'cubie website. As always, remember to take the time to drop by their appropriate threads and give them your feed back. The appreciate it a lot and I think they even mentioned compensation...what? No, sorry, no money. But they will take the time to thank you personally, I am sure! And finally dont forget: TONIGHT at 8e/7c on ABC! I'll be handling the review. Talk about scary! 'Cause I have no idea whether I will like it or not. It could be praise, it could be scathing dismemberment. *rubs his hands together* You can almost feel the electricity! Hopefully the review will be posted tomorrow or by Friday. And that's it for now. Be good to each other. Vlad, TA, tp

Your Two Day Prime Time Television Schedule
Episodes in red type indicate shows to watch!
THURSDAY TELEVISION SCHEDULE Be sure to check your own listings to verify times!
9e/8c
CSI (Season Premeire) CBS Those wacky Vegas coroners are back. Be prepared for whole 'nother season of gruesome boddy parts, gratuitous gore and the occasional decent twist.
10e/9c
Without a Trace (Season Premeire) CBS Widely held to be a great show; I don't watch it at all. Saw the first season premeire and maybe one other episode. Not my cup o' tea but I won't rag anyone for watching.
ER (Season Premeire) NBC Never a fan of the medical ensemble drama. I stopped watching long before Clooney left.
FRIDAY TELEVISION SCHEDULE Be sure to check your own listings to verify times!
8e/7c
Joan of Arcadia (Season Premeire) CBS I missed the season finale last year, but easily saw 3/4 of all the episodes. I am consistantly torn about whether I like this show or don't. It goes over the top far too often and has a little too much angst. But I keep watching.
9e/8c
JAG (10th Season Premeire) CBS Harm and his buxom co lawyer are back. Has it been this long? Wow! Many like it, I am not a fan.
Third Watch (New Episode) NBC Watched the first season or two on A&E when they were airing it like L&O. Liked the show then, don't care for the new seasons.
Veronica Mars (Pilot Repeat) UPN OKay folks, you have to see this! It's not Buffy but its sorta like her cousin that lives in another town that never heard of the occult. I was gripped by it by the time we broke for the first commercial and it did nothing but get better. Easily one of hte best shows of the season, judging by the premeire.
Monk (Repeat) USA Lots watch...I don't like. Had some promise at the very beginning but I find it too comic for my tastes.
10e/9c
Dr. Vegas (Pilot Episode) CBS New Rob Lowe vehicle since his failed attempt with Lyon's Den after leaving West Wing. I am not planning on watching and I smell early cancellation and failure all over it.
Rescue Me (New Episode) FX I unfortunately missed the opening of this widely liked series. I know no details, but if you are a fan, I am sure you don't want to miss it.
Also, I should have the review of LOST: Pilot posted sometime tomorrow morning.
I hope this helps with your viewing choices.

I put up my Oakland con photos: f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rachaelf51773/my_photosRaw data, no manipulation, yet, 'cause of life stuff that's eaten my brain. edit: Only, right now, something godawful has happened to my Yahoo!photos page, and so not even I can access any of them. Edit yet again: Use Netscape or Safari, and not IE, would be my rec. And also, don't be in my apartment using my computer. But they should be viewable now.
