More - I need more!! I first found Nan Dibble's fiction on www.allaboutspike.com and read it there. Then I realized there was more! However, not enough more... Please - we need new chapters. I love Nan Dibble's take on the Buffy-verse. It's really unique. Dawn's "keyness" intact with all that that entails; Dawn anchored by a piece of Spike's soul; their (Spike/Dawn) really close relationship - almost a mind-meld sort of thing;the tattoo - fascinating idea; using TPTB in a way that never happened in Joss's version - really interesting; Oz; and too many more things that I couldn't begin to cover. I love it. Of course, Buffy - Spike - what's not to love! I realize that this thread is for "Blood Price", but could I dislike Angel any more than I did - yes, in "Blood Kin" - for what he did to Spike. OMG - as if he hadn't already put Spike through enough. I think that the story was good - but I admit to disappointment that Angel was the one to lead them in the fight against the First. I like Angel for the most part in Angel's world, but when he steps into Buffy's world - I want to stake him! Still - it's easy for me to say when I can't write- much to my own disappointment. Clearly, I'm prejudiced because I think that Spike is 100x the "man" that Angel could ever be - not to mention - gorgeous!!! The writing here is very well done - especially Spike's dialog. Excellent. Please, more, more, more - MORE! BTW - why is this the first post on this thread - everyone needs to read these books! Anna

<snip> BTW - why is this the first post on this thread - everyone needs to read these books! Anna Probably because Nan is a founding member and Council member of the S3. *L* We talk to her in "realtime" all the time and frequently IM or email her. That seems to occur alot when people are really comfortable with folks; they forget to laud the "public" praise. Nan is a terrific writer and has added beyond counting to this site. She single handedly wrote all the Episode reviews for Season 5 of ANGEL for us, and has represented us to many a venerable site as our notable ambassador. From the multitude of items I have read that she has written, I feel comfortable telling anyone to read anythign she has penned and htat they will find it enjoyable or worthwhile. Sometimes even both. Vlad

Thanks, Vlad. I simply could not understand the "no post" situation - Nan Dibble is such a good writer. Your explanation makes so much sense. I've already read some of the S5 Angel ep reviews. Very thoughtfully written, and I've enjoyed those I've read so far. Thanks again... Anna <snip> BTW - why is this the first post on this thread - everyone needs to read these books! And I will fully admit that now that Nan uses her Live Journal to initially post and "screen test" chapters, I tend to post my comments there. Which of course means, I tend to forget to post anything over here. **hangs head** What I really should do, is find my comments over in her LJ and copy some of them over here. Huh. Why didn't I think of that before? #doh2# **makes note to do this**

And I actually thought of a better solution than trying to copy comments from Nan's LJ. A link right to her LJBecause, there are so many wonderful comments from lots of people that deserve to be seen in conjuction with all her fic. Plus, it's wonderful to see the story being created, changed, etc. Miss you, Nan. At odd times it just hits me . . .

It hits me when I'm least expecting it, too. *sigh* Nan is one of the best writers the Buffyverse has ever had. It upsets me to think that she'll never be able to tell us how the story ends.
