Alexandra: You assumed a plot line would be superfluous? So it's going to be a show about nothing, kinda like "Seinfeld" but with Naked Spike and no other characters? Wow. Talk about your must-see-TV. A sure-fire hit, how can it lose?
I can't wait for the episode where Spike struggles to remain Master of his Domain.

OK vlad. Will email in a little while. Also, good point about keeping these discussions to a minimum on the board! No big rush on anything, believe me.
Do post here whenever you get the analysis posted on the S3 website, as I would really like to get some feedback from you, vlad, and all the other folks here. I do a lot of writing in my job, but it is more of a technical variety so I am a little shaky about this outing.
I am not the touchy type, so honest feedback will be appreciated, both praise and negative feedback (as long as the curse words are kept to a minimum). No areas are off limits - content, style, organization, clarity - whatever. What's good, what's bad, what you wish was different . . .

Well folks, the B-movie marathon was a success and must say, House on Haunted Hill makes for the quickest viewing. If you are contemplating seeing it, I recommend renting it in DVD format and watching Chapter 4 exclusively. Pay close attention. First, stare carefully at the right hand holding up the camera. 2 edit cuts later, look longingly into the left eye of the cameraman who is squinting towards you. Listen carefully to line number 1. Later, as the characters enter the elevator, revel in the full glory of the cameraman and listen to line number 2. Look! Cameraman is not wearing black. Look! cameraman is flashing a beguiling smile. Listen as camera man utters line number 3. Laugh at look of horror on cameraman's face as he jumps up and down. Listen at line number 4 and marvel at how it resembles line number 3. Bask in the beauty of cameraman's laugh. As the next chapter opens, take one last look at the cameraman as his all too brief appearence ends. Shake your head in puzzlement at how such a small role could eclipse the rest of the movie. Wonder why cameraman is not in the entire movie. Be glad he was there to give you the only interesting moments in an otherwise dreary film. Be thankful you were informed and intelligent enough to spot the important moments in the film. Stop the DVD player and insert BtVS. Return House on Haunted Hill to the videostore or, restart Chapter 4 from the beginning again.
That is how I saw James Marsters' part in House on Haunted Hill
PS: Have downloaded 2 Gost of the Robot songs and was pleasantly surprised. I found Marsters' voice on OMwF to be lackluster and strained but he is much more mellow in GotR. And he laughs *S*.

I just downloaded and viewed the scene from season 1, on the episode where Angel receives the Gem of Amara and Spike arrives to retrieve it, where Spike is sitting on a rooftop and providing a voice over for a scene going on below him. Angel and some woman are speaking and Spike's running commentary is among the funniest things I have ever seen! Angel is a poof, No not the Hair, I am running out of the Nancy boy hair gel... *wipes tears from her eyes*
No, I am not certain whether Spike could carry off a show by himself with no wardrobe budget, but if he had a show by himself with no wardrobe budget and he was providing voice-overs à la Science Fiction Mystery Theatre 3000 (or whatever the name of that show was where they mocked old sci-fi movies") I would watch. Unfortunately, the tears running down my face would obscure my view of our favourite actor. So, maybe that wouldn't work. Hmmmm. Drat.

I don't know if she did, but count me in favor of it!

Okay folks, a little more serious than our usual fodder. ----------------------------------------------------------
Death
If there were no death there would be no life at all
Would there?
Only existance
For if we knew no death life would mean nothing
We would know nothing else
Therefore death serves a purpose
Not to kill us
But to keep us alive
----------------------------------------------------------------
Okay folks that's it, just a little bit of deep thought from my angst ridden youth. (I think I was 14 or 15 at the time, but this was a revelation.) I have written absolutely nothing since (or before for that matter) but this seemed appropriate to the Vamp-forum.

Hi guys!
Both my computer at work and at home have been down. You would not believe what I got done at work, I can go in tomorrow and play again, well, in between classes. Both back up now.
Want to thank Deborah for reposting previous post. I think you and Spring have provided some truly insightful thoughts into BtVS. I'm busy catching up on previous thread? strand? the last place you were at. (How's that for a dangling somthingorother.) I keep getting sidetracked; went to Vlad's place and my computer won't load MP3, maybe one at work will, checked out movie and went berserk.
Played with the antenna Tues pm and snow was terrible. In light of that or perhaps the non-light, I have enjoyed the comments and descriptions all of you have contributed.
I feel like I'm back in the world now.

Vlad said, " Why not stick him in a kilt and have done with it?? "
I think I remember Vlad saying that he went back and read the previous parts of ATS/JM. Vlad, you must have missed the part where we developed new stories/series with JM in a kilt. I think he was also wearing a fisherman's sweater at some point. So we already stuck him in a kilt. Now we are getting more streamlined. Why put 'Spike' in a kilt and hope for wind?

Oh Spring!
I just read the analysis, straight thru..one time. Fantastic. I mean it, just marvelous.
From first look, I don't think there will be much for me to do in the way of editing other than the basic html encoding and minor layout adjustments to make it work on the page. I'll go through it to make sure there are no glaring typos or grammatical mistakes. I am sure I may miss some, so after it's posted, I am sure you or any of our fellow S'cubies won't hesitate to point out any typos or grammar errors we may have missed.
*hug* I Just Love It! I am off to get it up on the page so all the rest of the gang can enjoy it too.
I don't know how much time or effort you put into this, but if you can do this with all (or most) of the Spike episodes, I think the S'cubies may actually have to worry about having an internet site that becomes a "Must Visit!" for all Spike and or BTVS fans.

LOL!! Seems we posted less than a minute apart there Alex.
And I had forgotten the kilt (or maybe that's where my subconscious picked it up. Surely I am not thinking about Spike in his alltogether under there! *shivers, wondering if he indeed may need therapy.*) However, I do recall the sweater. *shrugs* Nothing wrong with a man remembering a sweater now, is there?

Cassie - Sprinkled through the previous six parts of "All Things Spike/James Marsters" located further down the entries on the Miscellaneous Board, are several URLs to very nice pics of Spike and James Marsters. Here is a classic as one example for you: www.eonline.com/Features/Features/Buffy/Snapshots/index15.html

Spring said, "I can't wait for the episode where Spike struggles..."
Exactly. Spike struggles, surges, swaggers, struts, shags, shakes, strolls, strokes, strides, slinks, stretches, sluices, slides, sleeps, sleepwalks, skewers, scuffles, sprawls, showers (yeah), shivers, scrubs, swerves, and that's just the first episode.
Imagine what he could do with the rest of the alphabet. I'm waiting for the "U" episode when he undulates.

Okay folks, it's up! (Bites his tongue at the ebulgometricity of that statement.) Spring's wonderful, most excellent, terrific, fantastic and just all around really, really good analysis of S2: Ep 4: School Hard. All you have to do is go to www.geocities.com/scubiefan/and click on the link to reviews to the left. Don't miss this. It's wonderful! As I said in a previous post, if she can do this with all the Spike episodes, then I truly think the S'cubies can become a "Must See" online. Yes, it's really that good. Go check for yourself.
