Well, yeah. It'd be good if someone spoke to the island.
It's quite the symbolic little punishment Locke got. He was telling people the wrong thing, and now he can't tell anyone anything at all.

Interesting. In Locke's vision, only one of "our" people wasn't a passenger. Hurley worked in the airport, getting people where they're going. More of a guide than a traveler.

Yeah. The few seconds were great with the anticipation, because you KNEW that's what he was gonna say.

Desmond can see the future? Look at his face. He's changed. I don't think he sees the future. I think he's slipping in and out of time. Mostly 'cause he thought it was something he'd already really seen, not a vision of the future. And...that wasn't Eko, there at the end. That was the Island, using Eko's body.

Hmmmm. So "taking care of your own mess" is all about the cop!kid (who he couldn't shoot) and Boone (who he led to his death) and Eko (who he did save, after causing the problem) and now it's . . . becoming the leader and going to save Jack and Kate and Sawyer. Huh. And it looks like (from previews) that they could use some savin', fer sure! Oh, and Desmond can see the future. Well, he didn't turn green and tear thru his attractive tie-dyed dress, but it was still cool. I just get filled with this feeling that Desmond has "read the book," and knows what happens. Same general feeling - he's already seen it, experienced it, watched the movie. ETA: But not everything. It's more like he's opened the book and read random pages here and there. For example, when Hurley asked him why he'd never used the key before, he said it was because he didn't know what would happen. So either it's a post-explosion phenomenon, or else...I'm sticking with my slipping in and out of time theory. And I'm totally sure the island really talks to Locke, now. So now they can make me be wrong.

Which has me sticking by my theory of Hugo as the other shamanic influence on the island; perhaps not so much at odds with Locke and Eko as I once thought, but definitely much more in the "relaxed and groovy" frame of mind than either of the Servants of the Island. He's more of a buddha than a bishop, too.

Desmond looked completely bewildered when he showed up in the jungle naked (like an ape!). He keeps trying to leave, but he never can. Huh. A lot like the way Michael acted when he came back last season. I wonder when we'll see him and Walt again. Oh, and Vincent. He keeps popping in and out, too. Hmmm...

Where do I know that young guy hitchhiker from? Looks like he played Tom Cruise's son in War of the Worlds: Justin Chatwin

Is this cutie Desmond? I can see why you claimed him Sara. He's actually the first person on Lost Island that I've ever considered attractive as I'm not a Sawyer, Sayid or Jack fan. I think it's the accent. But I'm not claiming him - he's all yours Sara (or whoever owns him).

Oh. My. That airport scene was some freaky stuff. Boone is speaking for the island now? Charlie was cracking me up with his 'I'm going to stand out here in case you devolve into a monkey." LOL! Kiersten came home during the airport scene and I missed some of this. So what did all you Lost afficionados get out of that. I saw all the losties (kind of) going through security and things like that. Anyone who can describe this scene for me? Oh and is Lost on to early in the evening for Butt shots? Cause I'm thinking they should have included one for Desmond. Or it could be I have watched far too many episodes of Nip/Tuck. It now seems weird NOT to have a butt shot. ;D

Locke is talking again. Polar bears! "Bad things happen to people who hang around me." Oh, this doesn't sound good for the hitchhiker. Eddie. Sweat lodge. A hunter or a farmer. John's a special guy. Commune? Geronomo Jackson. OW! That was no polar bear. Hurley!! Dude. LOL! Yea - I have to admit I thought hitchhiker/undercover cop dude was a goner and we were going to see Locke's big sin and why he was on the island. Only not. Hmmm. Side note - that actor was perfect for undercover work with his baby face. Heck he could have been on 21 Jump Street.

Ah. Hurley's on his way back from the Line in the grass. "Bear? What bear?!" "Einsteins of the bear community" Those WERE peach trees. Nice orchard. No, Eddie stay away from the AMFO bomb factory. Or the pot. Locke laughing... Okay, it's not AMFO, it's just pot. Charlie, you are a sort of pseudo-daddy.. Flamethrower!!!!!!! Woohoo! So Pot is the new black? First a roomful on Veronica Mars and now the cult his growing it? I love the polar bears too but why did they have to be so jerky/flashy when we see them. I just want to see the polar bears.

How does Desmond see the future? Very weird. I thought that was a very nice touch.
