Is it just Losties or regular characters? Because I think the X-Rays are Ben's (he's around 40, right?) so it's possible he could keel over at some point. I'm talking a character played by someone in the first round of credits, after the word "starring." So Ben, Juliet or even the new guy Paolo would count, but Rose, Bernard, or Zeke/Tom wouldn't, as they're listed under "also starring" or "guest-starring."

Oh, Karen! I love that one! He has had that sacrificial lamb look to him lately. Oh! I was thinking that you meant he was dead already. As in, he died in the hatch explosion, but he was somehow still present, hence explaining his current wierd otherworldliness . . . well, it all sounded better in my head . . . I thought of Locke also, but yeah, I basically consider him an "untouchable" character, ala . . . say . . . Hurley, or Jack or Kate . . . they wouldn't dare unless the actor was leaving the series.

How about Michael? He is/was a major character. They still haven't dealt with his leaving... maybe they'll bring him back as a guest star for an episode or two ... do something heroic (like maybe save Jack, Kate and Sawyer?) and die in the course of it, his conscience clear, his soul freshly unmarred and him able to die, having learned whatever the island is trying to teach him. I vote for Michael... on the boat... with a speargun. Vlad

Vlad Vlad, are you saying you have a Clue? leftylady My dear, if you had been around me as long as some of these other galoots, you would know that I, for a fact, do NOT have a clue. I am clueless. I wouldn't havea clue if you beat me with a clue tree. Seriously, I am not privy to any inside info.. one of the biggest spoiler-phobes there is. And, since I long ago gave up writing the reviews for this show, I don't watch the episodes more than once (occasionally twice if I re-watch it with a viewing buddy) and miss a lot of the "clues" that really only repeated watchings deliver. I jsut think that Michael and what happened to him and the boy-wonder are the biggest unanswered questions proposed from last season. And I, for one, really, really hope they answer it in some way or will feel a little cheated. My proposal for the "big character's death" would satisfy that and free up the show's creators concerning getting rid of the actor that portrayed Mike. Vlad

Vlad I'd love to see Michael get what's coming to him, but I doubt it's going to happen - the writers don't seem to be big on tying up loose ends, they'd rather just create more and tangle them further. Chris Carter Syndrome claims yet another victim.

Chris Carter Syndrome claims yet another victim. Oh god, say it aint so! I hated hte X-files from about season two on... stopped watching it somewhere in season 3. I found it extremely tiresome. I really liked Duchoveny and Anderson wasnt bad. But I jsut positively could not stand the story-arc episodes (if you want to call them that ) If this show truly goes that route (and it's close) I'll stop watching. Much as I like the characters adn several of the actors and even the "writing" to a certain extent, I do need some answers along the way.. and not jsut an answer that adds 15 more questions or proves to you that everything you suspected isnt so without actually letting you know anything "true.". After a while that is not entertaining anymore. It's ..well, boring. Takes me right out of hte story. My suspension of disbelief is gone. And frankly... LOST has been getting there. Last season, until towards the end, I was growing increasiongly dissatisfied. I understand how some (Sara, I believe) really groove on it for the characterizations and the "ride" and I can go along for a while that way, but I do need a payoff somewhere... eventually. Maybe I am limited in that way. Vlad

I get the Chris Carter Syndrome accusations (though I don't agree with them), but I don't think that this can be used as evidence.

Now Desmond, there's a character I could see a bit more of. #liplick# And I like the hobbit Charlie, and Hurley, but last week's episode was not fun to watch. I hope things actually start occurring, one of these days. Anne, not quite giving up yet, but if I missed one, I wouldn't cry

If only Kate would be killed off. I would be so happy. Or Ben. Or Nikki. Kate I happen to like, so I'd be bummed. Ben I'm right there with you on--to the point where I'd most likely jump up and do a happy dance. Nikki I don't feel like I know enough about to say one way or the other. But who knows? Given time, I may very well end up wanting to strangle her myself.
