Huh.. wonder who they are setting up.. Oh yeah, it's the model home.. HEEE!! and "Privyet" is the Rusian word for "hello" Was Martin the guy that offered Kaz's sweater Oh MY GOD!!! "Manila Whore Barbie" HEEEE!!! That's an OUTFIT.. whoosh.. Was that Duncan? Oh my.. I'm kinda.. taken in by her look there... "Time after Time" love that. I don't think that whole thing was in "Love stinks".. and she's not old enough to know that song, anyways.. Oh! It's deputy cutiepants!!! That was . . . some kinda outfit. Uh huh! I can't decide which I like better though - this one or the anime girl get up. **snicker over deputy cutiepants** So cute in his Miami Vice suit. Music was perfect! I totally agree with you and Karen and Sara over the "Time After Time" love.

But she acted like she thought that Logan was totally making it all up. I'm puzzled. It's a good puzzling, tho. well, it's her father (too) that Logan was telling her about. Often children deny or don't want to believe that a parent is abusive to another child, because it destroys that parent for them too.

They do. And yet, I'd also like to see them just become good friends. 'Cuz I think they could each really help each other stop putting up such strong defences - let someone in. I had the same thought. I'd like to see them more as friends first, too. The chemistry is there - but it's not sizzling yet. That's a good thing. But Logan is really a damaged boy. And he has been self-medicating for a long while, I think. That's a lot for any person, let alone a young girl, to deal with.

so so sad... and I have so many questions. Well, just three. WHY did Trina have that credit card, WHY was she holed up in the hotel if she bothered to come home at all, and WHERE did she get her stepmother's clothes? NO, I have another question! What was the shocked look for at the end when Veronica found her mother? Who were those guys looking so lurky? Were we supposed to recognize them? Cause I didn't. Was one of them the security guy from the Kane company? I was totally surprised that she actually found her mom! I mean, I was getting used to the idea that the hunt for mom would be an unsolved thing for at least the season, if not for longer than that! They just keep turning the tables on me. In a good way!

Some particular reason why you made that initial assumption about their ethnicities? It wasn't a reference to my assumptions about their ethnicities: it was a reference to two characters from Robert Aspirin's Myth Adventures series: Guido and Nunzio, who are cousins and become trusted friends and valuable intelligent allies of the main character, but are initially seen by most that encounter tham as brainless muscle. No ethnic slur intended.

If she knows that, she out and out lied to him...I don't think Logan's mother is alive after all now. But what do I know. I'm so back and forth on the question about Logan's mom. Now that they seem to be sending the message that she really is dead, that Logan has given up, I'm feeling all perversely like maybe she's not. ;D

But she acted like she thought that Logan was totally making it all up. I'm puzzled. It's a good puzzling, tho. I wonder if maybe Trina really wasn't around enough to know for sure ('cuz of being older, etc.) and also if she automatically assumes Logan must be lying about Echolls Sr. (step daughter - his daughter, maybe some rivalry and thinking of Logan as more Lynn's and she is more Aaron's daughter?) Or something like that. But, Trina being sceptical or not, it certainly caught Veronica's attention.

I was shocked, too. Altho, when the guy on the payphone said 'blonde woman', and 'Sagebrush Cantina', for some reason I thought - it must be mom. And it makes sense, in an ironic way, that while looking for Logan's mom, she would find hers. And that she would find someone else - Tom Cruz - who didn't want to be found. So, what does mom know that someone doesn't want anyone else to know?

So, what does mom know that someone doesn't want anyone else to know? That's the puzzle that's really getting to me. I mean, all this murder and threats and stuff seems like real overkill for just a "they had an affair and Veronica is really Mr. Kane's daughter" kind of secret. There's something bigger and ickier going on. But what!? What clues are we missing, people!?

Were they Russian mafia - the guys on VM? Yup, out of Chicago. Which is why I redubbed them Vladimir and Dmitri.

Were they Russian mafia - the guys on VM? Yep. Looking for the guy that Russian woman was searching for because he made a deal with the feds and was in the witness protection program. Which is why she was looking for him too. Which makes me realize - another false identity, fake image thing. So our main big themes are holding very true. (And then, how does this mirror our other mysteries tonight - the matching missing moms?) And another "can't trust love, can't let people in" experience for poor Veronica. Lola

Not me! I was always the one defending my siblings when they were getting punished (like all kids do). I think I just liked being contrary to my parents. I was an awful child. But I see your point. Trina just doesn't seem all that loyal or loving to dad, tho. She didn't even come home for the funeral to give her support.

I thought it was kind of strange. And I LOVE your VM avatar, Lola! LOL! BFF. Hee!
