Possibly coherent thoughts at some point in the future. Profoundly grateful that Spring is doing this week's review but shaking in my boots about next week. ======================= Carolyn called me from New York 4 times---each commercial. I can't believe they kept ratcheting up the tension and raising the stakes in each act. I mean, I kept thinking, "ok, now we've gotten all the new stuff", and then . . .

And I was right about the "smell" being corrected to the crash! Loved Logan's snark in the line-up; loved Scary!Keith and the tremble in his voice when he talked to his daughter. Abel broke my heart, Clarence won my heart, in a weird, psychotic way ("Harvard." Hee!), and Joss rocked my world. Agreement with all of these and adding: Aaron creeped me out all over again, public defender Cliff gets a standing ovation of love from me, and body in the ice machine was stunning.

JOSS!
As a car rental guy!!!
"White?"
"stain"
"-d"
"Kind of like that guy"
"remote unlock" Waverly..
Huh, an apology..
and a jerkiness at the same time.
Don, you were the one that she was an adult, Don.
Small town.
"Knotty schoolgirls"
That's nice for a no-tell motel for thirty a night.
Huh. Dad's gonna GPS her.
No, just make her take a picure.
"He knew how to make a bus crash"
"Bribes are thirty dollars"
Oh my, not the ice machine..
Call your dad..
Shiesse!!!!!

This is where being paranoid pays off, I'd have had the door locked behind me. Becoming less scary.. more money.. Wow. Clarence actually is a cool ally I to have.. Brown hair, medium size, T-shirt.. Who? and "get a better handle on this" Hi, Keith. Aaron, you not on firm ground here... "in the next seventy, eighty years, you're the one who'll pay for it" "I came out here to show you how easily I can get to you." Oh, boyfriend.. Well, Batman style questioning... "Harvard" Nice, Logan. Wallace is still her confessor. Who is this? "Lie into your face and never guess..." other guy.. Carlos Mercado. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" Chilling. Lie to Abel, it will be a mercy. "She's happy?" Oh, god. "One more won't hurt".... Who's under the book? And skim milk masquerades as cream again, or vice-versa Heh. This won't be awkward at all, no. whatcha looking for, Kieth? A dead rat? Well, that explains the title.

Veronica is getting a bit over her head, I think. That's what I'm thinkin'. Yep. Or at least sorta. But I still have questions. Lots of questions!

Before I read anything I'm going to post my usual initial reactions - before all the deep, deep analyzing starts (hee, hee)
What an absolutely wonderful episode this was. I actually yelled - extremely loudly two times during the episode causing my children to come running in saying "What's the matter? What's going on?" Wow - just wow! All through my class last night, during the improv session, I kept throwing in VM and Logan remarks (as my advanced Musical theatre class knows about my obsession) but I simply was bursting with anticipation for this episode and it so did not disappoint.
So much to love. What a terrific job was done by everyone. I forsee many, many more people now wanting to have Lamb's love child. Terrific job by MM - loved every snark-filled moment. "That's going to mess up your Tivo" was a classic line. Hee, hee.
Cliff! Cliff baby you're back. Where have you been? Every moment with Cliff was pure joy. The reading of the witness statement had me rolling on the couch trying not to laugh because I didn't want to miss anything. (maternal expletive - hee, hee) Plus his Fred McMurray anxious father routine - I would cast you in the role.
Rob - thank you so much for giving us Logan with Lamb and Logan with Weevil and Logan with Aaron. All the things we have been longing for so much. And while I enjoyed the extremely brief moment of Logan with Veronica (come on Veronica - Logan's arms look nothing like the Donut's, methinks you are deliberating pulling blinders over your eyes here) - I still want and need more Logan with Veronica. M'kay?
I want to give Jason full props for a FANTASTIC acting job tonight. Loved his theatrically (you like me, you really like me - bwahh!!!!) Loved the interaction between Lamb's hand on his shoulder and then to segue into that amazing scene with Aaron. Can I repeat - wow, just wow! Wonderful job done by both Harry and Jason. It's a tribute to Harry that I started thinking - Duncan did it? And then I started thinking Duncan killed Amelia too before Veronica straightened that out. My only complaint was that I didn't quite get how Veronica solved the mystery of the other guy, the killer. That was a bit abrupt.
I screamed when Clarence walked in too. Yikes - that was very thriller mystery finding the hand in the ice. And exactly how much cash was Veronica carrying anyway? Cause she paid Larry (Hi Larry - how are Daryll and Daryll) $90.00 didn't she?
Terrific job changing Clarence from villian to partner. And the interrogation technique - hee, hee. Plus the whole -learned it at Harvard, learned it at cheerleader tryouts - bwah!!!!!!
Keith was amazing, the ending was amazing - I've watched it twice now and I still need to see it again. I have to admit I was in the camp of wanting Lamb to win the election. A Neptune without a Lamb just doesn't work for me.
Things I loved:
The rat - I knew, I just knew there was a reason for all those this bus smells lines from Dick
Dick- you ass! The makeup with Logan (every word, my God every word had me rolling) The snark to Weevil's gang - is it illegal to kill Mexicans - all classic Dick.
Gia and Veronica's discussion of Dick - Dick is just Dick - bwahh!!!!! I can't remember the exact wording without watching it again but hee.
Logan- every moment. The pain, the vulnerability, the hiding it by being theatrical and snarking, the you like me line while in the lineup, Logan with Cliff - Logan's facial expression during V's call, Logan with Lamb, Logan with Aaron - every pain-filled moment. Jason - I see why this is one of your favorite episodes every. You shone!
Cliff - Lamb's just mean. Hee, hee. 2 for $500.00, every line. Aww Cliff - you are one of the best things going on this show and that's saying a lot.
The clerk - $30.00/room. Knotty school girls! And it was Larry!
Keith - Keith totally scaring Aaron.
Veronica posing in front of the pictures.
Clarence - Sidekick extraordinairre.
Veronica's scene with Koontz - awww!!!
Brief in his arms with Logan moment.
Joss - fantastic job baby. And the top model did okay too. Great stuntcasting RT - so much an approvement from the Paris Hilton days.
Things I didn't like as much (because I really loved this episode):
I didn't quite get how Veronica solved this so quickly.
Veronica - snap out of it. Why aren't you helping Logan? I liked the expression on her face as Logan is arrested again - a very frozen horror look but then she does her usual compartmentalizing and focuses only on the Amelia hunt. I want and need her to start helping Logan.
Too much squeeing still reverberating in my brain. I need to let things jell a little and then post some more. Off to read what everyone else said.

Um, was that a dead rat stuck on the bottom of the bus? I was really hoping not, but it sure looked like one. Yep - dead rat.

I was really hoping not, but it sure looked like one. A rat bomb? And who was the third guy in the cell with Aaron and Logan? Also, buying Weevil's grandma's house and evicting them? That's just evil. Especially if the PCHers had nothing to do with his house being burnt. And I suspect they didn't... Really? Because I think they did. Just like I think Logan burned the pool. Really - Logan with his suicidal reaction to things would do something like this. He is hurt and he is just acting out in a typical Logan jackassy way. I loved the scene with Weevil. The pizza all over his face, the same teacher breaking them up that broke them up last season and Logan fighting back in a way he knows will hurt Weevil. This was a great scene. Every scene Logan was in last night just resonated with pain to me.

Throwing out for discussion:
Veronica - in her voiceover for the final scene - says she is coming home to her adorable (gag) HONEST boyfriend. Thinking it's Duncan.
I think we are clearly, clearly being given an indication that there is something going on with Donut and that this is foreshadowing. Because the wording - just weird. And I think all of Duncan's weird behavior is hiding something.
And while I don't think they are going to retcon the solution of Lilly's murder - I do think that Aaron saying it was Duncan - choosing Duncan as his defense means something.
We are being given hints that something is up with the Donut. All of his mysterious behavior - the Veronica stalking, the Meg hospital lurking, his standing by and notice while his friend is being rearrested again he chooses his favorite option of idly standing by - all seem to hint to me of Donut deception.
Something is up.

It surely did not! Such great snark! And perfectly sly reference to VM's scheduling opposite Lost, which has driven so many of us to some form of DVR. Yes! I have much Cliff love! He and Veronica work so well together - their comic timing is perfect. It's like watching a great stage duo. ;D Logan with Aaron was just . . . well, I don't have the words to say how creepy and sad and touching and oogy and powerful that was. Oh Harry H was simply marvelous. He gave us a very nice combination of movie star arrogance and bravado facade layered over true amoral killer underneath. And Jason! The line-up snark was too wonderful. And then the scene with his dad - so much anger and fatalism about himself and yet he also let us see, just peeking out of his eyes a tiny bit, the kid who wants to love his dad and wants his dad to love him. So funny, how he kept coming back to "$30 for a room". ;D Clarence was very scary - both when I thought he was there to kill her and when they started working together and we saw him be so . . . singleminded in his job. Keith was so amazing! As Erin said, the little tremble in his voice as he's talking to Veronica at first on the phone, etc. Such a fab fab fab ep!

Well, like we didn't already suspect that Duncan's "all surface" thing was not quite right. **nods nods nods**

I’ve only seen a couple of clips but I’m so giddy. What an episode! This keeps me going for at least a week. I guess it’s good when an episode makes you to do, um, squeeing noises all the way through. “Do me the courtesy of making it all official”. One word: Dick. They burnt the Echolls house. “That’s going to mess up your Tivo”. Aaron. Totally did not expect their first confrontation to be that kind of confrontation. Yep, and I totally almost believed Aaron for a couple of seconds. (Okay, one word, again): Cliff. But no no no, trying to evict Weevil and his family. Oh, no, no, no. Also, the line up scene – you like me, you really like me. Big hee hee later for Logan on the couch. But everyone so obviously could see that that was not Duncan. Yeah, it is so good to stay unspoiled for episodes like this. Haven’t seen the Clarence Wiedman bits yet. (Sorry for the repetition. Just had to say something .
