Whoa. MEOW! These girls are total bitcas. Put a tatoo here so people have something to look at? Nasty girls. Also? Hookers become heroes? Oy. I have to say, this episode sure does veer wildly from creepy child abuse to the Festival Of Hos. I wish it would make up its mind.

So, I'm thinking V and D are going to be believed here. I mean isn't it obvious what with the space in the closet? Jesus.

I don't want to be tested. And daddy holding a bat. Lamb - look in the closet, damn it!!!!!! Yes! Look!! Look!!!! Oooooh! Lamb had a bad daddy too. Hopefully this will help get Grace some help! And he just lets them go! And has someone watch the house! Oh, Lambie Pie! You do have a heart, after all!

It's sort of a . . . complete tour of the ickness at the heart of Neptune, eh?

I think this is just underlining the class issues. We have the wealthy families being neglectful at best and being abusive at best. What we've seen of the non-09er families: Veronica and her dad, Wallace and Alicia, and Weevil and his Grandma, show at the least loyalty and at the best, Keith.
Oh, and Mac. Her parents may be mystified by her, but they obviously love her. It's funny that Madison's mom and sister seem so nice and Madison is so evil; that would be the only 09er parents we've seen that don't suck, and their "daughter" is still horrible. Money corrupts youth?

Well, now...that was a brilliant twist. Lamb's humanity comes out in the most interesting of ways.
If this show isn't careful, they might even give Dick Jr. and Kendall layers at some point...making every single character capable of depth and complexity. It's not an easy trick pulling that off with people we don't see every week.
My love for this show only grows.
I have a strong feeling that someday (hopefully six or seven seasons from now) we'll look back on these first 2-3 years as that magical time when great television shows mature to a level the likes of which we rarely see; a level in which they simply do no wrong. A level where even the mystery-of-the-week episodes hold their own profound independent theme within the overall arc of the season.
It's magic, really.
