Hmmmm. Chip is . . . drugged and shaved and . . . was he raped too? New editor. Not particularly less venal than the last one, but at least he just wants photos. Well, incriminating photos if he can get them. Logan, Logan, Logan. I know you're scared for Veronica. I know you care about her. But this "stomp in and lay down the law" thing? You know that wasn't gonna work. Why not try something like "I'm scared for you. What can we do together to make sure this doesn't happen again"? 'Cuz you know if her dad finds out, well . . . Patty Hearst?! #rofl1# As Selma Hearst Rose. Heeeeee!!!! Oh, Lamb is not happy about the Dean going to Veronica. "The sherrif is an idiot. I've met smarter sandwiches." ;D Ah, the waitress is one of the feminist group. Who was the phone call from? Mr. Sheffield! **looks around for nanny; realises what this reveals about bad TV that I now have admitted to having watched; slinks away** #rofl1# Lamb and V mutually fooling each other on the phone. ;D Loved loved loved the whole "dad, I'm on the phone" then right back to pretending bit. Too. Funny!

Ah, Dick. Ever reliable . . . "Poor Chip. You really wrecked 'em." Ouch! Painful puns. Ick! Getting the homless guy to grab the egg. "Veronica, Morty. Morty, Veronica." ;D And Chip was sort of raped, wasn't he? Hmmmm. The sister is a flake, the brother is a dick. Great family. Wallace!!!!!!! Oooh, with a new hair cut. The clean look. Well, he's always good looking, but I love him better in locs or with a more grown out natural. Ah, well. I'll take all the Wallace lovin' I can get. An important date. Someone fell . . . Veronica in a panic. And she keeps acting like nothing is bothering her. She needs to share with someone that she is feeling vulnerable. She needs to talk to someone. Talk to Keith, V!!! This ep is just full of funny snark!!! "Dustin's brother." ;D Every. Single. Moment. Between. Veronica and her dad! Comedy gold!! "I have so much information, I have no place for foooood!" "Suspicious? I think so!" "Mr. Smithers to his Mony Burns." ;D "Just like that time we did Disneyland."

"I can appreciate it monetarily"
Hee! Ah! the "buy american" plan.
HALLIE?!
"all my orifices just went on lockdown"
"Peter Cotton tail"
Oh my.
Taser in the scrum, and a kidnapping on the part of Logan, aw, that's sweet.
That the bum?
"You know who I am, you know I am, you know what I do"
And Logan cuts in with the exact same argument. And the big L word.
Wow..
"go a little easier on each other"
Wow. NEAT. That didn't go like I expected.

"Mrs. Rose is hoping for a moment alone with her husband"
"Counting on him to do the wrong thing"
"Early anniversary present"
Oh, boy./ Getting rid of the greek system at the school.
Same pledge class.
Hmmm.
Fake multiple rapes. Oh god.
Oh, holy hell. Wonder whose was real, other than Chip's.
Oh, Logan, don't take it personally... she's just feeling particulary misanthropic at the moment.
LoVe divided by Piz = the hell? oh for pete's sake.

Bud and Hallie. Hallie and Selma. And it was all blackmail to get her money. "Have you ever been a national punch line?" Nice double meaning there. Not only with Keith, but also with her own RL. Ouch! Chain reaction fight . . . Wallace!! Always the noble one, our Wallace. Ah, it was a bodyguard. Oh, what a perfectly done scene! Painful and ouchy and real. Both of them right and both of them wrong. Veronican making him know she's been scared. "You don't care?" Ouch! "I care that you're safe." "You know who I am." Telling him she isn't going to change what she does, how she works. "You know who I am, but you constantly ask me to change." Ouch! Even as you know that's true you still think you're in the right. Ouch, again. And then, the thing that is at the heart of it all. Do you love me? She says yes. He says can we go easier on each other. We're OK. No. No, you're not OK.

Thoughts: I think Veronica does love Logan: I just think she was feeling particularly misanthropic when he called her: and I think that that group of women have been either working opportunisitically to drug and fake-rape women (wonder how Parker got home that night she was shaved) or to fake their own rapes, in an a zealous misguided drive to get all Greek life off the campus.
Cripes, when something like that happens, you go after the chapter. I'm no greek, but I know a lot of people that were, and it wasn't a bad fit for all of them. They weren't all rapists and slimeballs.
And there's something else in the mix: none of those girls would have raped Chip to leave a hint aimed at back at them.

Nice set up of Bud. Use Morty the homless guy to rat out Hallie to Lamb. Count on Hallie to collapse at the first bit of pressure and give it all up. Use the threat of going to jail to get him to sign the divorce papers before you hit the 10 year mark. Classic! "I loved Bud!" "Anna Nicole . . . you're skeevin' me out!" ;D ;D ;D Patrice and Claire . . . "Impressed with your tenacity." Ah. Horrible. Stripped her, were cruel to her, marked her up, all in front of the frat guys. No wonder she walked off the roof. And why the hell didn't you TELL someone about this? Expose this in the paper? Tell Veronica the truth and let her expose it? Because you were already too deep into your scheme to get the frats tossed off campus. "How many were real?" Good question. Have more credibility if you didn't have a fake rape case on your head. Yeah! " Nothing hurts the cause more than that." Very very true. And Selma is going to toss them all off anyway. So - do we actually know if any of the rapes were real? Did the women use an actual attack as their template? 'Cuz that's even more slimy than just making the whole thing up.

Chip Diller Hearst Mart.... Neat mythology. "stay away from the rape case" "Nose where it doesn't belong" Oh, boy, Logan. Dude!! Tell me about it! Such great snark in this ep. Loved all the Keith and V. stuff. Even knowing she was . . . putting it on extra because she was trying to be all tough in front of dad, it was still so much fun. ;D

Roman numeral? "Repungent" heh Priceless. I tell you, sometimes Dick is just priceless. ;D **snicker** I was wondering when someone was gonna ask about the hair. And I consider it a supreme act of will power that she didn't go off on them for attacking her too. Well, assuming it was them . . . . Now I'm wondering . . . . And shouldn't she have asked them? 'Cuz if it wasn't them . . .
