Rob - I don't blame you for being frustrated. This was a perfect episode to have Wallace featured and they really should have used him more than they did. Thank you. I'm all right now. Just took me a day or so to get past the frustration. It appears RT simply has no fresh ideas for the character. Right now, I'm trying to regain positivity. Perhaps next week Wallace will be enlisted as an undercover agent within the team's locker room. That would make a great deal of sense, and actually allow him to make a tangible contribution.

There you go! That's positive thinking! I don't watch previews, so I have no idea if this was insinuated or not. Vlad

Coda

You can fire me, but you can't take me off the case. The stakes are raised.
I'm betting he did it.

This episode really didn't grab me, but I don't think that's necessarily an indicator of how good the episode was. Quite a few good little moments, though. I think I may like it more in retrospect, once I know who dunnit.

General observations: I liked it. (I can always tell by whether it holds my attention vs. reading the paper or glancing at the clock.) I liked it better than the morning after pill/miscarriage storyline. I liked that Weevil was semi-reluctant to be seen with PCHers, even tho his attitude made no sense whatsoever in light of his willingness just last week to steal and crush Madison's car. The men's voices arguing....that was the Dean and Hank, right? We saw O'Dell confront the two of them in the hotel room, carrying his gun, correct? That is what I am assuming. And it is therefore very suspicious that Mrs. O'Dell is not telling Keith about the visit her husband made to the room. Ooooh, I thought that looked possibly significant too. Not just a "my cell mate has his eye on my cookies" moment, I think. I was expecting it but I still liked it. Primarily because of the interaction between them and the actress herself. Not too cutesy, but just sufficiently kid-like. Not acting too old or sophisticated for her age. Ah, yes. If TV were like real life in that respect . . . well, we probably wouldn't watch it, would we? The peanutbutter cookies - operative word "peanut". Remember, the kid was very specific on the type of cookies to bake. I read a spec that either Josh or the cellmate was allegic to peanuts. Could have escaped either during medical emergency of cellmate or from hospital if had reaction / faked a reaction. Hmmm.... Smuggling in the cookies was not so smart for our usually bright heroine. leftylady

S’cubies! Veronica Mars fans! We are back to trying to catch up our reviews! And I have to say: Miss Fotada has OUTDONE HERSELF!! I recommend the review just for the numerous LOLOLOLs, not to mention the ROFLs, and the deep thoughts and insights. It’s her best one yet, and that’s saying something.
Suit up, get in the game, it's time to read:
POSTGAME MORTEM: It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt – by Fotada
This episode featured Heather Button, a little girl who gets left with Logan for long-term babysitting, while she's becoming Dick’s short-term sister-in-law. Also in this episode the basketball coach is found dead, and his son Josh becomes suspect numero uno.
You can find the review by going to the S3 home page ( www.soulfulspike.com/indexholder.htm), or you can access it directly by clicking on the image below:[/size] Sorry, Fotada. I couldn’t resist putting in a plug for my Buckeyes. But here’s a plug for you: Everyone, please read this little wolverine's effort, and then post in this thread to let her know what you think of her game.[/b]

Brava, Fotada! (Hey, I rhymed.) I loved how you compared and contrasted, while bringing it all together with the metaphor of a game - halftime thru the game and how to "win". Perfect match for the ep title and theme! Loved the comparison's of Josh and Logan; Logan and Veronica; Veronica and Heather; Heather and Logan; etc. Who's wallowing? Who's quitting? Who's hiding their feelings under a facade of perky or busy activity? Not to mention reminding us to go back and compare Veronica's reactions to the earlier ep "Donut Run". Not only for the light it sheds on her reaction to the breakup with Logan (how does she really react to emotional pain versus when is she putting on an act) but then to show how it parallels helping Duncan evade the law and helping Josh do much the same. In each instance, she felt that the letter of the law would result in more harm than good and decided (for better or worse) to act outside of it. Excellently done, Fotada!
