I got distracted there, so I don't know exactly what happened with the son.

I missed that Keith got appointed Sheriff.
One thing that just occurred to me is that if he's sheriff, he'll have to shut down his PI business. Veronica, however, will probably keep doing her PI thing, since people keep coming to her with cases. Keith will have to take a different attitude towards some of her activities because he's holding a public office and has to uphold the letter of the law again. There might be some interesting conflict. Or will he bend the rules on occasion for her and what kind of effect will that have?
I found this episode a lot more engaging than the last one, but that could have just been my mood.
