I guess Dick made his peace with his dad. Maybe they'll both change for the better. Ryan Hansen's performance was most excellent. Though I don't think Dick Sr. seemed very genuine, but I'm not sure if that's the character or just so-so acting. Wallace was very 3-D in this ep!! I have often found the scenes written for him pretty flat of late, but not in this ep. Hopefully S'cubie Rob saw this ep. I think he'll be pleased. The actor playing Apollo was amazing. He conveyed a great deal of emotion with just a look. I was very impressed. It's interesting that even though these are supposedly stand-alone episodes, we're still getting a sort of mystery arc concerning the Fitzpatricks and Vinnie. Rob Thomas is such a rebel! Can't say I blame him. The more I see of her, the less impressed I am. I'm sorry if other people like her, but I find her very boring. She was more interesting when she was a big ole slut. Oops, did I just type that?? I'm so bad. I think Parker was a good change of pace for Logan after the drama of being with Lilly and then Veronica, but the honeymoon phase is definitely over, I believe. I think that her feelings have grown for him very gradually, which is very normal, but not at the same pace as Piz's feelings. He's been mooning over her for awhile now, while she was completely oblivious, so it's not that surprising that she doesn't feel quite so strongly as he does about their relationship. I think they're cute together, but I can see how Max's lack of ambition beyond his morally dubious business would be troubling for Mac.

I felt that way back in Debasement Tapes with the begining of the sheriff's race that Rob T was sneaking in an arc. Go, RobT!!!!!! Eetah on Parker. I've never seen her as much of a fully written character, more a placeholder. But is that what she is supposed to be for Logan? Sorry, but I don't see much feelings for Piz at all, acceptance maybe but not feelings. So Wallace's repeated warnings may be right on the money. Yes, Mac/Max are adorable. But Mac is a college freshman. She's got her whole life ahead of her. It doesn't have to be more than a college romance. But who knows? At least she is over the trauma of Cassidy. leftylady

teaser
PI exam. Does she qualify already? I mean realistically she does, but I don't know the actual rules.
Child soldier in Uganda.
Keith approves of Piz.
Home burglaries.
Keith beat Veronica in the certification exam. Hee.
Veronica can take over Mars Investigations officially.

Part I
Cliff.
Fitzpatricks.
Logan meeting Parker's parents. Contrast with Piz meeting Keith.
Logan's got no direction.
I'm a little skeptical about Apollo's story. Like maybe he changed a few minor details.
You can tell just by looking at it if the handwriting is a "perfect" match? Really? Also, would she have really written in English?

Part II
So Mac and Max are honeymooning.
I'm in the porn version of Ground Hog Day. Hee.
Countdown to my expulsion has begun. That's not promising.
Both Mac and Parker are doubting their choice of partners.
Keith declares war on the Fitzpatricks. Dangerous waters.
Kendall mention! Yay, it's not a dropped plot thread!

Part III
Love makes me lazy. They should put that on Valentine's Day cards.
Love the monkey on Veronica's pen.
Veronica's a triple threat. Hee.
The burglar's got an in with one of the security systems.
Olympia and Apollo. I didn't put that together right away.
Apollo cribbed off the lives of others. Or did he?

Part IV
Expose the hoax or protect the hope it provides?
Dick Sr.'s back!
Great scene between Dick Sr and Jr.
I hope they mention Cassidy's death. Or at least make it's lack of mention conspicuous.

Coda.
Veronica did her part. She was played.
Quite clever actually.
But wait. Father and son reunited. Aw...
Mac wants to have her cake and eat it too.
The bull fight thing was cute.
Good, mention of Cassidy. That was really good. Finally.
Cheesy campaign commercial. Check.
Vinni has kids? None that I'm aware of. HEE!!!!!
Veronica got the internship.
I'm not sure why she'd want to do the FBI internship if she's got her legitimate PI business. Oh, she's viewing it as a paid, information gathering vacation. I wonder how that'll pan out.

"Not a guy looking for a payday" Wallace looking out for Piz. Where's detective mumblesweetie? Cliffie!!!!! So Tommy is a FitzPawntrick. Be careful about your tats, doofus. "White flour is essentially poison" These must be the parents. God they are the antichrists!!! Smart kid. I hope to god he's not a fraud. Enough people are going through that hell that it would irritate me if he were a faker. I'd rather be trampled by horses than MEET her parents. "SURF trip!" okay. The captionist misheard it. I read "Going to South America to serve with Dick" and was wondering what Bolivian border conflict Dick got embroiled in.Handwriting match...

Oh, and, I loved the RL tie-in with www.invisiblechildren.comFrom and interview with Ryan Hansen: IGN TV: What is Invisible Children? Hansen: Invisible Children is a documentary, which has turned into a non-profit organization. It's a documentary, about a war in Africa; Northern Uganda. These child soldiers, who've been abducted by the rebels, and they're forced to become rebels, and kill their parents, and kill each other. It's just a gnarly, gnarly story, and through Invisible Children, this documentary, my brother-in-law went a couple of years ago, and kind of exposed it and a lot of young people are getting involved, because it's a good documentary and it's like it gives our generation something to do. It's a different way of mission's almost. It's really cool. So people are really getting involved and doing a lot of things for it. Invisiblechildren.com, you can go and check it out. My wife and I went last year for two months and spent a ton of time over there and she got to go back and visit all the kids we spent time with. ======================= One of these guys who actually has written a book was recently on Jon Stewart. I had wondered if they'd cast him as "himself" but apparently not. Go Ryan and his BIL and wife! Man, he is nothing like his Dick character. It is so great they could work that into the show.
