Of course, there's a big part of me that wants to smack Owen...so he lost the woman he loved; he should be happy he's even capable of feeling for another person, given the seriously sociopathic behavior we've seen thus far. Ah, but the way Owen is, the fact that he can feel that way for someone, and that someone can hurt him so badly, will freak him out rather than make him happy. He doesn't want to let anyone in, let anyone see the inside bits of him, and he's used to being a sociopath. He liked who he was, and now he's someone else, someone who can be hurt by - gasp! - women.

Jack's out Weevil catching on his own? So, just like he never sleeps, he also never gets a night off? "He's my boss." "Sit the fuck down." "Don't talk to me that way." Well, yeah! 'Cuz I mean, yes, there's relationship issues and promising to work on stuff and take a night off work, etc. But there's also a guy, her boss, who is supposedly a cop of some kind, chasing someone and all bloody? Um. I think I'd be realising my cop significant other probably needs to help out here. Actually, this is totally why I'm done with Gwen/whateverthehellhisnameis. Their relationship is obviously doomed, and it's only a matter of time, IMO, before it ends. So, since I feel like I know where it's going, and it's not a place I enjoy watching things go, I wish they'd just send it, already. She's been horrible to him, for weeks, yup, but all the same, Dave and I pretty much agreed that bellowing "sit the fuck down" in a public place is gonna be an unforgiveable offense. He was all, "I'd expect the divorce papers shortly." Granted, all relationships are different, and some women/men would likely not react to that with, "Dude, we are so over now", but to me, it bespoke the fact that either Rhys never had any real respect for her job and her individuality, or else things are so bad in their relationship that it's all gone, along with any sensitivity, tact, and tenderness. It's so over.

Is it because Jack is so obsessed with not being able to die himself that in this episode and the last he can see no argument to give to the 2 people he helped take their own lives? Because, damn. That's really screwed up.

It's so over. I re-watched this this weekend and I have to completely agree. No one. I mean no one, talks to me that way and gets to hang around me after that. This relationship is doomed, but that's been coming for quite a while now. End it already, indeed.

I totally get why Rhys bellowing at Gwen like he did is repugnate and disgusting, but it is also way out of character. What I took from that scene is the frustration that Rhys must be feeling on a gut level to the vibes he's getting from Gwen. She has been bonking her co-worker and couples sense that betrayal, even if they aren't actually aware of it. Hence, his anger when she unhesitatingly went with Jack when called. Now, if this was something he was in habit of doing, I wouldn't be so forgiving of his actions. Gwen is in an awful position. She has a job that she loves and is excited about and she can't share any of it with Rhys. I can't imagine how hard that would be on any relationship.
