No idea what "the Index" is, no idea who wrote the episode, no idea what it's even about, but that's what we'll be watching tonight.

And it looks like I'm flying solo again tonight. Ah well.
I'll be very, very surprised if Nadia doesn't suspect something's up with Sydney.

I need some help - I missed part of the episode right after Spydaddy sat down at the table and I didn't get to see it again till Sydney and Nadia were talking - on a roof? Not sure. Can anyone fill me in?

You mean towards the end of the episode? I saw all the stuff with Vaughn and Rosemary. I just didn't see what happened after the commercial break when Jack sat down at the Alliance table in those glasses.

I saw all the stuff with Vaughn and Rosemary. I just didn't see what happened after the commercial break when Jack sat down at the Alliance table in those glasses. Ah--got it now. The part about the roof threw me, but now I know what you meant. As Syd, Dixon, Chase and Sloane watched, Jack produced the decoder disk for the collected Alliance guys. Which is when Syd remembered that the disk he had was the one she and Dixon created--meaning it wouldn't work. When the Alliance guys realized this, they were less than pleased, proceeding to express their displeasure with their fists. Syd asked where they were meeting--Sloane told her it was in building 37. Syd contacted Nadia, who cranked that little red car into gear and made tracks. The head guy continued questioning Jack, who'd been tied to a chair and sported a bunch of bruises on his face. Jack indicated he expected Sloane was long gone and told the other guy Sloane had sold him out. Alliance guy wasn't buying this, and leveled a gun at Jack's forehead to encourage him to be more forthcoming. Before Jack could say anything, however, they both heard a revving car engine that sounded extremely close by. A second later they discover the source as Nadia drives the car through the building's door. Alliance guy and cronies pull out their guns, but Nadia dispatches all of them with three single shots--all before she even opens the car door. It was pretty damn cool. The next thing you see is Nadia pulling up to where Syd stands waiting. She sees her dad, who assures her he's okay, and then gives the two sisters some privacy. Which is about where you returned to the action, yes?

I really, really enjoyed this episode. It felt very season 1 - other than the obvious replay of Page 47 but with a nice twist but hey wasn't it great to see the subbasement again? A great cliffhanger? Loved Sloane and Weiss and the I told her last night line and reaction. Also loved the awkward oil small talk from Jack at the table - hee, hee. Dixon was wonderful - loved his interactions with Angela Bassett. But I especially loved Nadia's little speech during her birthday party. And Sydney seemed on tonight, involved. Maybe it was the lack of bangs.

Maybe it was the lack of bangs. I don't like her in bangs either. Really enjoyed this episode! Excellent special effects and stunts and surprises. That helicoptor stunt was awesome! Lots of fun with Sydney's ploy to get arrested. I get the feeling that Sloane doesn't like Nadia's boyfriend. I'm still working on the names here. I hope he doesn't go the way of Sydney's boyfriend. Go Nadia with the sharpshooting! I'll check the backstory for any info on Vaughn's dad. I had a feeling that that nurse was a phoney. Think it was the close-up on her fakey smile when she handed him the mysterious envelop.

I knew it!
Well, some of it, anyway.
Vaughn's father is still alive, isn't he? HA! And he's EEEEVUUUL. 'Cause he just HAS to be.
Haven't actually finished the episode just yet. Should be in bed.
It's just such a perfect parallel to Syd - the sainted parent turns out to have been playing for the wrong side.
Also - I know they don't trust Sloane, but even *I* never thought he'd be dumb enough to carry out evil non-governmental plans on his traceable CIA phone.
